Those of us who listened to Heart when their albums came out did not just listen to 3 songs. You could throw a dart at any Heart album and play anything it hits. You will be impressed. Amazing music, musicians, and that voice.
She does have a sexy voice. It sizzles like water on a hot skillet. Nothing wrong with saying that at all. To not point it out would be remiss, especially in a reaction forum. The sound elicits that reaction. And she pulls it off with ease. Ann Wilson's vocal range is incredible. Her live video performance of Barracuda really shows her confidence and she just oozes sexiness. And I am saying this as a heterosexual woman. It is undeniable. Nancy is right there with her, killing it on guitar. Two of the most talented women in rock n roll. Heart never gets old.💖
"Straight On" is on the _Dog_ side, actually. On the _Butterfly_ side, you should definitely react to the title song and the song that closes it all out, "Mistral Wind."
Ann and Nancy Wilson are simply LEGENDS, and are among the greatest rock goddesses ever. The debut album Dreamboat Annie, followed by Magazine, Little Queen, and Dog and Butterfly contain so many superb classics, stunning instrumentations, and under appreciated ballads. I even got to see them Live in Philadelphia back in 1976. Love these ladies. 🥰
Ann and Nancy couldn't have done those great rock songs without the rest of the band. Founder Roger Fisher was the guitar genius and rock soul of the band. Michael Derosier on drums was fantastic as was Steve Fossen (co-founder) on bass. They were rounded out by Howard Leese on keyboards and second electric guitar. After Roger and Mike Fisher left - Ann steered the remaining members (who soon left) straight on to pop music and ballads. Ann and Nancy have tried to re-write history as them being the founders and leaders of the band "Heart" - but they were not during the glorious first years when Heart were a kick ass rock band.
Obviously the band was steller on its own, but with out those sisters they would have never made the success they did. All in their group were talented. But the Ann and Nancy gave them a delicious identity and creative input. Musicians are meant to be in the background.
"Kick it Out" & "Heartless" were 2 other great tunes from their '70s era. Not too long ago in the early 2000s Classic Rock stations were still playing more hits from rock acts, not just their top 3 songs.
Heartless by Heart is one like this with a very driving groove. I would suggest you check it out. Even up is a great Rocker where they added a horn section with a baritone sax to drive the rythem with the guitars. Both great rockers.
Hey guys if you like that one you’ll probably like “Hyjinx”too👍It’s kinda got a more dark mystique to it and a killer groove and Ann’s vocals are just…well, showing everybody why she’s Ann😁Oh and her and Nancy’s doin’ the “hoo hoos” too!😆🤣
From an 2002 concert, Heart performs this with Dave Navarro….Amazing and Badass! Love y’all style. Sub’d. Never leave out Nancy’s vocals a d hard hitting Acoustic Guitar.
That whole album is extraordinary. I particularly like the Butterfly side. If you liked "Straight On", "Mistral Wind" will really leave you libidinous! Anne screams and you must obey.
One of my favorite albums from Heart is The Road Home, a live album released in 1995, is the fourteenth album overall by the rock group Heart. It chronicles a club performance in the "unplugged" style - but with strings - in their home city of Seattle. This song Straight On is done so well on this album. They really emphasise the bass with a funky sound. You should check it out. Great reaction.
I think most people know that Ann is one of the great female vocalists of her generation, but Nancy is a pretty amazing singer in her own right. The sound of the two sisters singing together is incredible. I heard you say you would play Barracuda, but from that same album - Little Queen, one of my favorite songs of theirs "Say Hello" is unique, and I would be willing to bet has never been reacted to. Heart had a "reboot" album during the late 80's hair metal era, and they had some huge hits with the 2 albums they put out at that time. "These Dreams", "What About Love" (which is a cover of a relatively unknown outside of Canada song by the group "Toronto") and "Never" were all pretty substantial radio and MTV hits from their 1985 album. Titled "Heart" It was a #1 Billboard chart album. They followed this up with the Bad Animals album which had the number #1 cover "Alone". I'm not a crazy fan of Hall of Fame/Kennedy Honors stuff, but when they did the Led Zepp Kennedy Honors show, the Wilson sisters did Stairway to Heaven with John Bonham's son on drums, and it absolutely floored everybody. It's worth watching sometime. These women made a lot of great records, and had a lot of hits across multiple decades. I've heard they are still quite good live.
Pass the Kleenex Nick, cleanup in aisle 1? Ann Wilson was drop dead gorgeous with a powerful yet sultry voice. Barracuda is an absolute rock banger and classic, their best known and their best. Heartless, Little Queen and Kick It Out are also excellent.
HAD to come back and watch again! It’s so hard for us long-tern Heart fans ‘cause y’all are missing out not watching them live! Ann’s ad libs and Nancy dancing while playing guitar And “seeing” Nancy’s vocals! (Edit) just looked at Crazy & Magic - OMG, You’ve not seen these beautiful, sexy sisters!
There is no doubt that the 70s are indeed a top contender for the best decade in music history. The range is simply outrageous, from the creation of Heavy Metal, to Arena Rock, to the early Disco grooves. Hell even country acts like Dolly, Hank Jr.
This was their ode to Disco, especially the long outro jam. '78 & '79 were the two years when Rock bands put their spin on the Disco movement before the backlash by 1980.
@@alisonmontana8895 No kidding. I was a teen in their '70s heyday. This song was their contribution to Disco. It was funky & has a danceable bassline. Most Rock acts came out with a Disco tune back then.
I actually always loved this song more than the most popular ones, but that's probably because I'm old enough that we use to listen to the whole album at a party! It added to jamming for hours in the groove! Music is everything! Great reaction! 👍
OMG When I was young I wanted to be Ann Wilson. If there was time travel that would be first on my itinerary. Well second, I'd go for wardrobe girl for Robert Plant for like 2 weeks. You guys are really fun.
Love Alive is Zepplenish piece, Kick it Out, Even it Up, Dog and Butterfly, Heartless, High Time are good songs from their first few albums. The mid to late eighties is when they racked up the soft rock hits Alone, Nothin at All, These Dreams, Never and All I Wanna Do is Make Love To You
I saw live in Texas, Six Flags over Fort Worth in 1983, outdoors, in July, 20 feet from stage and they jammed out for 2 1/2 hours, what a great show they did. So yeah I'm fan. For the love of God man, do some Liliac guys, you won't be sorry, yelling from the 606 guys.
Hey y'all! I can't believe that you are doing this song! It is in the top two of my favorite Heart songs. I hope that all y'all enjoy it as much as do. Rock On🤘
The Live version of Mistral Wind will always be my favorite, followed closely by Just the Wine and Sylvan Song / Dream of the Archer. Ann’s voice is timeless.
The 70s were incredible! The 8s pretty much sucked ass for heart. The girls Fired one of the best Rock bands Ever! And they never recovered. They became a garage band.
I'm definitely a HEART fan. Was part of the soundtrack of my high school days. I'm not sure I want to smoke a "long cigarette" while listening to it (cigarette holder), but this is definitely one of my HEART favourites. Well done, Boys.
Great selection and reaction to Heart, and thank you for breaking the reactors "bubble" of Barracuda, Crazy on You and Magic Man. Straight On was actually the last track of the "dog" side of the album. As a lifelong fan of the band, I highly encourage y'all to listen to their softer acoustic "butterfly" selections, esp the title track, Dog and Butterfly. Ann and Nancy's vocal harmonies are exquisite!
Not sure if you're interested in the tribute to Led Zeppelin, Heart performed Stairway to Heaven, amazing amazing amazing. Must mention, Hearts other radio singles were Magazine, Heartless, Little Queen, High Time, and maybe even Hijinks? And of course Dreamboat Annie.
Great choice digging deeper into Heart, guys! Going even further into the "Dog and Butterfly" album, the absolute must hear is "Mistral Wind". This is the track that truly showcases their individual and collective talents to the hilt. Stunningly powerful vocals and guitar wizardry make this one a deep-cut classic!!
"Heartless," "Kick It Out," "Even It Up" are earlier rock songs, would love someone to do "Dog & Butterfly," harmonies and acoustic, Nancy really shines thru. ❤❤
Heart went a little more commercial in the 1980s. The group's first No. 1 single, "These Dreams" from 1986, actually featured Nancy Wilson (not Ann) on lead vocals. It's a dreamy (pun intended :-) ) slower-ish to mid-tempo ballad.
This was the last studio album of what I consider the classic Heart line up. Certainly my favorite which is the original members of Heart (the Wilson sisters, Howard Leese, Michael Derosier, Steve Fossen, and Roger Fisher).
Greatest female band EVER!! Fight me!! 😏
Those of us who listened to Heart when their albums came out did not just listen to 3 songs. You could throw a dart at any Heart album and play anything it hits. You will be impressed. Amazing music, musicians, and that voice.
Ann Wilson's voice is indescribable. Her vocal range is outrageous.

Heartless and Kick it Out NEED to be heard!!
Barracuda!
The down and dirty funky rhythm of this song is irresistible
Man! Nancy Wilson rocks the guitar big time.
"Straight On" is on the _Dog_ side, actually. On the _Butterfly_ side, you should definitely react to the title song and the song that closes it all out, "Mistral Wind."
Dog and Butterfly is a awesome song as well… 👍🏻🙂
You need to hear mineral wind from heart in Seattle 2002 concert,
. Nancy’s absolutely fabulous on guitar. Starts slow then picks up.
Ann and Nancy Wilson are simply LEGENDS, and are among the greatest rock goddesses ever. You have to hear Heartless!
Highly recommend ‘Mistral Wind’ from this album.
The 70’s and 80’s had a lot of kick ass music!
Nancy's voice turns my crank.
Other great Heart songs include: "Little Queen", "Even It Up" and "Dog and Butterfly".
Even it Up was a pretty big hit for them.
" Dog and Butterfly" would make the greatest impression on them and the best display of the sisters harmonies.
Lighter Touch, Nada One, Dream of the Archer, Mistral Wind.....
"Kick it Out" & "Heartless" were 2 other great tunes from their '70s era. Not too long ago in the early 2000s Classic Rock stations were still playing more hits from rock acts, not just their top 3 songs.
@@oakhillfound847 Thanks, I fixed it.
Mistrail Wind on the Butterfly side of that album is almost Zeppelinesque. One of their better ballads.
Don’t forget Love Alive!
My two favorite female Rock vocals: Ann Wilson and Linda Ronstadt. Early Heart with the original lineup was when they were at their best.
“ Alone”is fire….
"Alone" is originally performed by I-10. Heart does the best cover of it!!
Back when radio stations used to play more than 12 songs over and over, this song was played a lot. So was Magic Man.
Have you heard Ann and Nancy cover Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors? It is the best cover ever!!!
This song was played a lot on Louisville radio stations back when it came out and into the 80s
My fave Heart Song ..... kick arse groove all the way.
Ann Wilson has such an amazing, wonderful voice! One of the best voices in rock music ever!
Heartless by Heart is one like this with a very driving groove. I would suggest you check it out. Even up is a great Rocker where they added a horn section with a baritone sax to drive the rythem with the guitars. Both great rockers.
One of my favorites of thiers.
Sing Child or Cook With Fire...both excellent Heart songs...Ann plays a mean flute on Sing Child. Nancy plays harmonica on Cook With Fire.
Those are cigarette holders boys. Used before filters. Btw every guy l know thought Anne Wilson had the sexiest rock voice ever.
My favorite version of Heart doing Straight On is from Night at Sky Church. LOVE.
Hey guys if you like that one you’ll probably like “Hyjinx”too👍It’s kinda got a more dark mystique to it and a killer groove and Ann’s vocals are just…well, showing everybody why she’s Ann😁Oh and her and Nancy’s doin’ the “hoo hoos” too!😆🤣
Love me some Ann and Nancy Wilson 🤘
If you want to hear the deepest cut from Heart's catalogue, I highly recommend 'Mistral Winds'. This is their epic masterpiece.
Please, please, please do a video of Heart's remake of "Tell It Like It Is." Ann's vocal is phenomenal.
I love this song. It epitomizes the ambition of a woman’s when she sees a man she wants and decides “he’s mine”.
One of my favorite albums from Heart is The Road Home, a live album released in 1995, is the fourteenth album overall by the rock group Heart. You beat me to the comment I was going to make. "The Road Home" was a great concert (the video of it is a must).
This is one that gets turned up in the car, cruising and jamming. Kick It Out and Even It Up are great ones also.
I think most people know that Ann is one of the great female vocalists of her generation, but Nancy is a pretty amazing singer in her own right. The title track from this album
" Dog and Butterfly"
Is absolutke6 breathtaking and
displays the sist sisters harmonies clearly and beautifully.
Mistral Wind is my fave on the Dog and Butterfly album. I love all the songs they never played on the radio from Heart.
YES! more women! try "midnight at the oasis", live by maria muldaur.....
She could really sing that is for sure
*'Never'* & *'Dog and Butterfly'* & *'Dreamboat Annie'*
Mistral Wind is a beautiful song, really highlights Ann's voice...a must hear!
“ Love Alive” is another song you all must do some day.
Absolutely! It always gets overlooked
HAD to come back and watch again! It’s so hard for us long-tern Heart fans ‘cause y’all are missing out not watching them live! Ann’s ad libs and Nancy dancing while playing guitar And “seeing” Nancy’s vocals!

I’d like to add the 60’s to your comment.
And great R & B
She was still with her "Magic Man" then, so no wonder her vocals were still "in heat"
This is one of my favorites from Heart.
Yeah guys, it’s my favorite Heart song.
Sisters of course harmony.
Definitely playlist material. My FAVORITE Heart song ever
I'm sure somebody's already said this but, Kick it Out! Freaking awesome song!
Fantabulous
Heart definitely had more than three songs played on the radio in your area. Keep heading down the rabbit hole!
Crazy on you is awesome we need to play that song by heart
This was their ode to Disco, especially the long outro jam. '78 & '79 were the two years when Rock bands put their spin on the Disco movement before the backlash by 1980.
Heart was never 'a girl band', and they were NEVER disco, they were bad ass R and R.
@@alisonmontana8895 No kidding. I was a teen in their '70s heyday. This song was their contribution to Disco. It was funky & has a danceable bassline. Most Rock acts came out with a Disco tune back then.
Favorite is Heart doing the tribute to Led Zepplin’s “Stairway to Heaven…. Amazing!!
Also need to have the video up!
I actually always loved this song more than the most popular ones, but that's probably because I'm old enough that we use to listen to the whole album at a party! It added to jamming for hours in the groove! Music is everything! Great reaction! 👍
I saw them in concert in 79, they were an amazing concert, EVERY song on this album is great. I used to play the whole thing over and over.
I got to sing Even it UP with Ann and she gave me her tamborine. I still use it. lol
If Looks Could Kill is another great one. Also Even It Up.
Saw Heart in 1983 awesome show
This song is probably their funkiest jams........dig it ✌️
❤❤❤ "My Absolute Favorite!" ❤❤❤

Same. It's hard to get people to listen to this one
Middle guy may need a cold shower after this song.
The 70s were incredible! The 8s pretty much sucked ass for heart. The girls Fired one of the best Rock bands Ever! And they never recovered. They became a garage band.
Thank you! It's my favorite Heart song
I'm definitely a HEART fan. Was part of the soundtrack of my high school days. I'm not sure I want to smoke a "long cigarette" while listening to it (cigarette holder), but this is definitely one of my HEART favourites. Well done, Boys.
Great reaction
Rockin Heaven Down is another deeper cut from Heart...it's a great hard song
So glad you guys reacted to this song. This is my favorite song by them. Also Dog and Butterfly. It was great fun to see your reactions
In Jr High cool kids dissed this cuz it sounded disco. I secretly loved it...good for me.
You guys should watch their tribute performance to Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Honors ... thing!
You guys need to hear The title song, MISTRAL WIND, and LIGHTER TOUCH from the Butterfly side.
Great selection and reaction to Heart, and thank you for breaking the reactors "bubble" of Barracuda, Crazy on You and Magic Man. You should like this one, just started listening to this one!
You want a song with total funk, play Sing Child from the Dream Boat Annie album, you won’t be disappointed
Heart went a little more commercial in the 1980s. The group's first No. 1 single, "These Dreams" from 1986, actually featured Nancy Wilson (not Ann) on lead vocals. It's a dreamy (pun intended :-) ) slower-ish to mid-tempo ballad.
You guys are trippin Heart has one of the biggest tunes in "Alone" which i guarantee you will all have heard.
Dog and Butterfly, Little Queen, Dreamboat Annie, How Can I Refuse, so many great tunes by this band
I was 13 when it came out loved it instantly!
Spot on gents
There version of Stairway To Heaven at the Kennedy Honors is incredible
This whole album 🔥 🙌 💯
Who in their right mind, doesn't think that Heart is at the top of their game, every note they have ever sung.Ann and Nancy, starting to sweat.
This was the last studio album of what I consider the classic Heart line up. Certainly my favorite which is the original members of Heart (the Wilson sisters, Howard Leese, Michael Derosier, Steve Fossen, and Roger Fisher).
You probably know more Heart songs than you think you do. Heart had radio hits through the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s.
I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert in a relatively small venue in 1977. Was it amazing? Do you really need me to answer that question?
Dog and Butterfly, Heartless, Even It Up, Little Queen, Kick It Out are also great songs by Heart.
If you haven’t played Heart doing Stairway to Heaven tribute. You need to experience it.
