I respect your opinion. I happen to be loving my S9, and getting some great results straight out of camera. One thing I will add, the Lumix Lab app is not only a game-changer but, it's a WORKFLOW-changer. Every major camera brand will be copying their app, especially how it delivers looks / LUTS / simulations, directly from your phone to your camera. Once there, and also on the app, you can share the lut w/ others, you can adjust it, you can tweak it, you can stack luts, and you can make your own luts. It's honestly one major reason why the camera has been so fun to shoot with.
@@Tudor_Mateescu I have Lumix GX9 and i use only electronic shutter. I am amateur-enthusiast and i bought S9!!! This device is not for professionals it is for us! That`s all...
Finally here's an honest review coming from a vlogger whos ticket hasnt been bought and flown to Japan by Panasonic. This is only a phone with ILC fullframe sensor without phone function..Congrats sir..
He doesn’t need help on this, he talks about facts and physical limitations of a product, not a review. He touches an important aspect, why someone who supposedly knows about photography can promote this product putting aside basic aspects like those or like if those are not important now. Maybe that’s what pisses people off, not he was not invited or not.
The biggest issue for me is to the price. If this was 900 dollars, I don't think anyone would complain and even with all the limitations, I would buy it as a complimentary b cam to my S5ii. The second issue is that there is no compact enough lens to balance this small body. Even the small 20-60 kit lens, which is terrible under low light, is too big for this body.
@@Tudor_Mateescu delusional is the only word. 500 dollars less than a CANON RP? I don’t know how anyone can take you seriously saying things like this. It’s kind of embarrassing.
This is a great video which certainly expresses my opinion of the S9. It's like Lumix picked all this cool tech but then used it in completely wrong ways. The electronic-only shutter was an idea that should have never made it past the design meeting where they were tossing out wild ideas. This camera is a great example of how apparently smart companies can make some really stupid mistakes. I'll bet they have a replacement for it within a year.
They should have stuck with the micro 4/3 system. A GX85 with lut capability, and a better viewfinder and updated sensor, with phase detect af would have been great.
@@poupou5833 I don't think a new m43 would be too much cheaper but it can smaller with more features like an evf or hotshoe and front that angle it would be more value for money for me. Plus there are so many great m43 lens. I hope this decision works for Lumix or they come back to their senses and make good m43 cameras again.
The S9 launch was a clown show, but you're going too far with this "Fuji has the colors and nobody else has the colors" idea, in my opinion. It's highly exaggerated. If I could do a blind test on you, or anyone, I bet you wouldn't distinguish with any statistical relevance between the fuji film sims and me playing with the slides in lightroom
I just couldn't control my laughter just looking at your video thumbnail 😂😂 I seriously was confused after seeing lumix s9 and few channels praising this camera was the most confusing part 😂😂
Hi Tudor... amazing B&W pictures you have put in the video, love all of them. I just checked out S9 in a shop today. It is a very nice feeling camera but yes handicapped with various constraints - EVF, electronic shutter, 4k vid limit, etc. I think it is a good travel camera if you have some L mount primes and you just want to reduce some weight or an additional camera in a bag if you want to carry 2 bodies with different prime lenses.
I have same feelings and worries. The is no sign of new flagship mft video camera (next gh6), no sign of full frame with 4k 60fps no crop. Instead they jumping into shoes of Canon who for years was butchering their camera bodies. That s9 toy would be OK, if the price tag would be adjusted to what your are getting. In UK s5II costs £1499 with extra battery (Amazo n UK) they ask same money for s9. This is one big joke.
Except the Lumix S9 will sell like hotcakes because it will be quick and easy to get exceptional quality photos and video way beyond a smartphone. The sensor and the IBIS alone make that possible beyond what the competition is offering despite some other limitations. The tiny 26mm lens fixed aperture lens will get nice sharp in focus pictures without the need for complicated autofocus mechanisms increasing the size. It seems that most cameras snobs don't get the point of this camera. Also, Sony are trash build quality and way over priced considering this terrible quality. Their "pro" cameras are anything but. I've had experience of Sony trash breaking down and failing which they will all do in a few years. I will never buy their gear again.
They just tried to make a full frame camera as light and small as possible with sacrifice and forgot how heavy L mount lenses are. Got an Olympus EM5 mark1 recently coupled with LUMIX 35-100mm f4-5.6 ( real bargain now). After using the combo for three days I sold my Leica M11. Some said when a full frame camera can be so small and compact what’s the point of micro four thirds? They forgot about the form factor of lenses.
Thank you, my friend, you probably saved me from making a big mistake! Full frame, though it sounds magic, isn't everything! I'll stick to my fantastic xe-4! ❤
Great video 👍 all the RUclipsrs who have gone to the lumix show are comedians who are not photographers or video creators and they don’t know nothing about photography
I don't think that s9 is a bad product, it's a first generation product which will get improved over time. The experience will improve while more lenses are getting launched, the existing Lumix lenses are too large for such a small camera. Some thoughts: - I have a Nikon Z6 II and most of the shots I take with the electronic shutter. I would not miss the mechanical one. In most of the situations there are no problems. - I used to have a Fuji X-T3, had to sell it due to lack of good focus and worming in the RAW files. - I thought of buying the X-T5, what stopped me was the 40MP. The processor is working on moving useless pixels, instead of doing calculations for providing great auto-focus.
This situation makes me sad, because Im a die hard Panasonic fan. I own the G7, G81, G9, 2x GX800 and GX9. I love them all. I was hoping to find the big brother of my GX800 in the S9. For me, no mechanical shutter is the worst of all...
BOMBASTIC! Thank you Mr Mateescu, a fair, honest and unbiased opinion by a trip offered to Japan :-) The world of photography has definitely become a big joke and a big scam. Influencers are a pain for buyers who are fooled by lousy reviews with lousy photos and always on pre-production devices. Like other brands, Fujifilm for example which I like, they have fallen into pure business, to sell devices which are not even built yet for which we wait months, lots of people buy without having seen or tried a device! It's also a joke as far as I'm concerned. The Panasonic S9 is the pinnacle of all this bullshit, 1700 euros, no viewfinder, no mechanical shutter, no hot shoe, an SD card, no grip, a 15 minute video, and with a pancake lens without autofocus and f8!!! Etc... Unbelievable, I think Panasonic is sinking through their own fault and nothing will do about it. RIP. For a little more money, go and get a Nikon Zf, a fantastic real camera with endless possibilities. Thank you again Mr Mateescu, you are real in a fake world.
Oh, now I know why you made this video...Cam Mackey said that he would choose the S9 over the X100v and it hurt you feelings lol. But I must be honest you do take great photos.
Oh Tudor ! You are amazing. Thanks so much for saying this. You are like the little boy that speaks up in the story of The Emperors New Clothes. My own first response was also sad that the influencers who normally do fair reviews did not ! Clearly a free ticket to Japan is worth it. Also, I am not an expert but all of these points I was thinking and you have just confirmed my thoughts. I can’t thanks you enough for speaking up !!! Ironically there have been previous LUMIX cameras that probably deserved more positive reviews but it’s ironic that this one is getting all the hype.
Can we first please appreciate how stunning Tudors street photographs are. Amazing! I was so excited about the S9 hoping we would get a Leica Q type body with interchangeable lenses. Excited about the XPAN aspect ratio option. Was already looking at sigmas F2 primes ... I understand we photography-first people are not their cash cows apparently, but I would have happily paid 300-500 more if it had an EVF, mechanical shutter and hot shoe and not mind the grip-less design. This way I am just as disappointed as you Tudor, on goes the search for my dream camera. X-Pro 4 is my next hope. Or who knows, Nikon Z rangefinder style camera. We already have 2 primes from Nikon.
If you can afford it see if you can find a good condition Leica QP. It is a fixed lens but full frame 24 mp Summilux lens. All the way through these S9 hyped up reviews I kept on thinking get a second hand Leica !!!
Had it been cheap (sub $1000) it may have been worth it for some, but it's not cheap and for most it's not fit for purpose whatever the cost. At least we can easily see who all the shills are though. End of story.
The weight difference between s5II and s9 is 250grams. Is it really worth to sacrifice so so much for 250g? No weather sealing, no grip. And that new lens 26mm f8 is... manual focus only.
I switched from fuji xt5 to sigma fp l. I never shot mechanical shutter on my fujis and havent had any problem in 99 %. In electric light conditions I use 1/50. I switched to full frame because there is no 27 f1.0 in APSC, or a 18 f1.0. With the Voigtlönder 28 and 40 f1.4 you get this field of view and depth of field. And with 60 MP you can crop with a factor of 2 and having still 15 MP pictures left. Hence a 28 f1.4 on my sigma fp l fits the range from 18 f1.0 to 35 f2.0 on a fuji. For video I prefer 1080 p and then I can crop by the factor of five!
I posted under another Creator's videos saying or at least insinuating he was leaving the FX3 and fx30 for the S9 saying it was trash. I was going back and forth with people all morning . People are telling me I cannot say it's trash without having it in my hand . I am going by the specs , its limitations in photos makes it unusable , it's video limitations made is useless in video mode. Someone said I can use a monitor . If you are going to build out the camera why not get the better camera in the S5 ii . I cannot wait for this camera to be released and more people have their hands on it and they will see the limitations for themselves . 1600 dollars is not cheap enough . I mentioned to them the X-S20 has open gate and better specs than this camera for less . Then someone replied saying does the X-S20 not overheat? I answered honestly my X-S20 does not and has not overheated on me . I was literally outside in 90 degree weather albeit not in direct sunlight. Still I was sweating and I turned off the camera at 40 mins with not even a warning. I've seen people say the X-S20 overheats going through the menu. I feel the S9 will definitely have over heating issues, hence the time limits. Also I remember people used to always complain about the 29:59 time limit in most cameras a few years ago. Now they are giving this camera a pass. Sorry I have a habit of making long comments .
Don’t forget that not all of us are as profession as you are ….. simple to use and my GR2 doesn’t have an EVF either …. LUMIX may start a new trend. From the reviews and the LUT it seemed appealing. Besides I have never used the hot shoe on any of my cameras …..
It was the RUclipsrs who have been conditioning us for many years and calling out these terrible features of lack of features suddenly telling us it’s an awesome camera for a ridiculous price is why cameratube is melting over this.
I think if it had a flip up rather than flip out screen, a better lens (a 28mm f2.8 would have been so cool, and Canon has shown that that sort of optic can be fit in that kind of footprint), and a mechanical shutter, it would have been much better. The lack of mechanical shutter is unforgivable. The lack of EVF is pretty bad, but if the camera was trying to be a shoot-from-the-hip waist level finder photo camera and a gimbal-balance-friendly flip-up-screen content creator camera, it could've been a home run. As it stands? Absolutely not. I don't know how brands can see cameras like the Zf and X100VI pop off in the market and think "I know what will make people buy my product! Taking away all the things that make it feel like a photography device." Makes no sense.
Interesting that you have fallen for the film simulation hype. Anyone who know color can get incredible results from ANY camera on the market. If not, then the weak point is just behind the viewfinder... 😊
I might have been interested in this camera, but the cold shoe, lousy video record times and gimmick 26mm f 8 are deal breakers. Also, it has no audio out jack for headphones. It could have been a decent modular system
Why are we hating on the folks who went to Japan? It’s not as if they are big influencers. The majority of them have small channels and limited reach. Limux seem to use folks who have promise and do good work. Sony etc does massive product releases and invites much bigger names…no one complains. I can’t imagine why anyone would refuse the chance to go to such an event.
Not +all+ of the folks who went to Japan, just the ones who went to Japan and gave glowing 'reviews' and glossed over the very serious limitations of this device. The only promise they have is as corporate shills
I wouldn't go as far as saying the S9 is a joke, but what frustrates me is that I see some key things that are good, but missing a few things that make me cringe.
Thank you for being honest and don’t go with the flow man, but you’re kinda alone here. Personally I do understand the limitations of this camera for photography. What I do not understand is how others reputable content creators that I respect as photographers try to remove relevance to basic aspects of photography such as the existence of a viewfinder, a mechanical shutter or the option for using a flash. All of this is not important now? This camera is a flop for photography otherwise Sigma FP would have been a success on sales. Just trying to focus on 2 things: 1 - less important, sadly this camera is not a photography aimed camera from Panasonic (and I was hopping too). 2 - and really important to me, social media clearly sucks, we are consumers of corporate garbage and this case shows it clearly. You are brave, others either have the approach of minimizing this camera flaws, or are trying to make it trendy. Is the a new movement around “less is more”? Is it going to be a hype of rolling shutter effect images with luts on a near future? Thank you again for your sincere and lonely opinion on this.
They must be taking the piss Tudor the s9 specs make the GF1 sound ground breaking I bought the GF1 in 2010 at discount thought it was great till Fuji started making cameras still got my Fuji xe 2 still works great and would trounce this new s9 did they announce this camera on April. 1st ? I would not want it at half its price sad so sad
I really want to buy the s9 at first but holy cow as soon as you put a lens in there it becomes twice bigger than the x100vi along with horrible ergonomics so u need to buy a cage in that case whats the point, then they sell the manual pancake lens for 200usd with a fixed f8. Its snake oil theyre making it look like its compact by having that lens in their materials.
Great review! I am X-T3 shooter! I love my Film Sims Setting... I believe Panasonic have very strange approach with this incomplete camera 📸. S5II at least have a purpose. This S9 is totally a joke! You right. Thank you.
Thank you for the video because I thought I'm loosing my mind, after watching the happy faces of youtubers who felt they in debt for Panasonic inviting them to Japan, and talking utterly nonsense about how cool this butchered s5II is. You are the first person mentioning LUT behave differently in different lighting conditions. Enyone who spend 15 minutes in grading VLog knows that. Thumbs up for the video.
S9 is clearly not for the likes of your audience, Tudor. People who love photography for its own sake, the gear that comes with it and the shooting experience. it is for a different audience, people who enjoy getting on board with the latest Hype Train, and they are welcome to that. Although why they would 'need' a FF is mysterious to me....best not waste too much time on that and get on with things that matter :) In Australia S5ii is trading for less and a7Cii not much more so that is more interesting for 'us'.
OK, I am not familiar with Panasonic at all, I am a Sony shooter and was just curious to hear what this camera has to offer, my only feedback to you is that you are repeating the same over and over and not getting to the facts to make your point, tooooooook so looooong , next time, get to the point faster . BTW, electronic shutter and bending, is an issue only if you are using this camera for sports like baseball or golf, or some other very special case, not a big deal, lack of EVF , is an issue for me, many bloggers, they don't care..........I owned previously fuji and sold all to move to Sony, I found that their JPEG colors were over saturated and , at that time, processing RAW in Lightroom was not the best alternative, Sony A7C II is an excellent camera that has all that yo may need or want ......Fuji X100VI may also be a good one and worth testing it, if you can have any time this century :)
Pretty sure its a beginner photo camera. Trying to compete with q3 and 100vi. The reason there is a bunch of video features is because its in their dna. It would be expensive to remove.
@@Tudor_Mateescu Yes indeed, that’s why stacked sensors are better for only electronic shutters. Readout speed is the key. I let you check out how many stacked sensor are available on the market.
I think the form factor will work when we get global shutters... but until then.... yeah.... Also, the influencers got a trip to Japan out of it so who's to blame them I guess
Sorry I skipped the video part. The problem with the majority of influencers is they arent real photographers (by real I dont mean necessarily paid professionals), and in the case of gear reviews neither are the videographer's side. They are just youtubers looking at high tech specs and calling them "game changing" when most of the time it has no impact for a photographer on the field, or worst they are "game changing" by getting in the way or removing the joy of the craft. Regarding the shutterless point, I will never buy such a camera, even with a global shutter. My main reason is a what an youtuber praised as a good thing for leicas to have in the future: 'when you press the button, the camera says nothing', well I want the camera to talk and let me feel it, its why I joined the fuji family and mf lenses.
If you are feeling sorry for Panasonic employees, shill influencers and people misled into buying this woke lego brick of an object, also spare a thought for existing MFT users and their lens collections who are being shown the finger by Panasonic. Some of the most disgusted comments I've seen are by Panasonic fans who are invested in Panasonic equipment. On the plus side I've found a new channel to sub to, to replace one of those I unsubbed from yesterday. Good video
Thank you ... there's so much BS gear simping going on with this camera by RUclipsrs who'd never actually use such a thing ........ feels like they've been bribed with a trip to Japan or something. :)
Same feeling here, so far I've only seen you and Samuel Lintaro(on Instagram) showing it as the joke it is. I love lumix Gx9 and the S5 II, I still hope they do a new version of the gx9 camera with modern autofocus
Disappointing video from you. Hope you get some views but I didn’t learn anything from you 90% of people who went to get the camera didn’t mention in detail. They all did.
Good for them. But you can read the comments here... They are clear. And what is disappointing? The truth? Blame it on the Lumix S9 marketing event and people who said that this camera is an x100vi alternative - the manipulation is clear (and is not the first time). Also check my community tab - you have there a print screen from a well known camera blog review site that is calling rolling shutter artistically.... I'm not the slave of any brand and I'll not be - so I'll speak the truth and nothing else 😬😎 The event was and is a disaster - the only way to repair it is to admit it and retract the camera.
Did Fujifilm already contact you? Fujifilm have some jokes too, and their consumers are the most cry babies out there. I don't know if you were sarcastic about the film simulations being basically 99.9% correct. I always laugh when i see a "Cinestill" recipe. Not even 0.01% close. Ps: you're missing a beanie like every Fuji user 😂
Check my Fujifilm videos I criticize them very strongly :) A recipe is one thing, Fujifilm film simulation is another one. I use multiple camera brands and know them inside out... Did you use a Fujifilm camera?
Nowadays new cameras are no longer for photography. No longer a tool. No longer a creative instrument that will bring back the fun of taking pictures to record the present for the future. They are frying pans to overcook images with no sentimental value. Influencers are like preachers interpreting their particular gospel about the new cameras after they have been transported, wined & dined by the manufacturers. And they all begin with the same lie: I'm going to show you the pros & cons about this model, but the manufacturer has in no way influence on my review...HA!!
My recipes here: tudormateescu.com/fujifilm-recipes-by-tudor-mateescu/ The pictures shown have different edits. I advise learning the Ansel Adams zone system and use Silver Efex for editing.
Not E.V. is NOT OK not ok NOT OOOK, is this clear?! I don't care if millenials buy scores of it or not, but this is more of a beautiful toy or a fashion statement than a camera.
No no no no Iam not going to buy Panasonic s9 I agreed with u. Iam looking for second camera 📷 built in flash what do u think about the flash in fujifilim x100 mark 6 can u make a video about it's flash? Thanks
@@JJ-op4oj no, but they have FAST READ OUT, so the problem with rolling shutter is almost gone - but still present in some situations. Look at Petapixel review where they touch the problem and show the rolling shutter and banding - you can't shoot by night over 1/60 to not have the problem... Also for street photography and fast moving subjects S9 will be very problematic. So the key is in the READ OUT speed of the electronic shutter that on S9 is slow and on Z8/Z9 is very fast. Global shutter resolves the problem - it's used on Sony a9iii.
I'll take the S9 over the x100v tbh it's exactly what I need as a camera for social media and a EDC camera. Great lowlight, great image stabilization, 39 different custom picture profiles in a body that I can get into events that I can't get my S5ii into. It's only a joke for people who don't understand the benefits of a camera like this. Nice try though
Dunno. X100VI has great image stabilization, great low light too. 39 is just a number when you have so much flexibility in the Fuji JPEG engine as it is, and you can totally get into events with it that you also can't get to with the S5ii. So not sure you are making a strong case there. Also on the Fuji you don't have to worry about banding, you can make it weather sealed, you have a flash that can sync with the leaf shutter and you have an EVF/OVF. I like some things about the S9 but I also feel Panasonic missed on a few essentials. That pancake lens being F8 MF is one of them considering both Canon and Nikon has small F2.8 full AF pancake lenses.

I just couldn't control my laughter just looking at your video thumbnail 😂😂
I seriously was confused after seeing lumix s9 and few channels praising this camera was the most confusing part 😂😂
Is there really crop in 4k FF video mode? I think it's downscaled from 6k (full sensor readout).
Hi Tudor... amazing B&W pictures you have put in the video, love all of them.
This S9 is actually making me lose some confidence in panasonic's decision making and worried on the future of their m43 and full frame cameras.
A bit long winded at the start but you got to the points in the end - the most honest review of the S9 so far I do agree with you - nice photos btw
Thank you
we need more honest reviewer like you tudor🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great video 👍 all the RUclipsrs who have gone to the lumix show are comedians who are not photographers or video creators and they don’t know nothing about photography
the micro hdmi is on the right right too, how you suppose to hold the camera with cables coming out it
Incredible!!!
I don't think that s9 is a bad product, it's a first generation product which will get improved over time. The experience will improve while more lenses are getting launched, the existing Lumix lenses are too large for such a small camera.
Some thoughts:
- I have a Nikon Z6 II and most of the shots I take with the electronic shutter.
I agree, the absence of mechanical shutter kills it, similar to Sigma fp
I can't believe how they messed this up so bad. This would have been an amazing camera if done right.
Thank you very much - very well resumed what Lumix S9 is all about 😬
Oh, now I know why you made this video...Cam Mackey said that he would choose the S9 over the X100v and it hurt you feelings lol. But I must be honest you do take great photos.

I shoot with the S5ii in electronic shutter and this is bs but I understand that you're hurt that people like something more than fuji
@@Bigcookfilms yes, it's my BIGGEST problem... :))
I agree, it’s a joke, but LUMIX colors are the best by far. If this camera had a viewfinder it would be great. Definitely not a blogger’s camera.
Indeed, the other Lumix cameras are great 👍
Can we first please appreciate how stunning Tudors street photographs are.
I think that title now belongs to the new Leica D-Lux 8 that just came out.
Just seen that now... Yes another contender there for the title 😬
I fully agree with this.
@Tudor so much for the D-Lux 8 being revolutionary unless you are being sarcastic about it.
I like it. Is like my gm1 but whit my s5 censor plus autofocus 🎉🎉🎉🎉 make sense to me.
Show us the photos you’ve taken with the camera, please
Everything you said.... I agree 100%. Epic failure... And, a cold shoe in 2024.... smdh. 😂😂😂
Do I get a free trip to Japan if I buy one?
S9 is the camera of the year. Perfect B cam for the S5ii. The people trashing this camera never used it.
Well you certainly told it as it is......and with passion. So much for influencers. Now we know who to believe. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Please check this to see where the real problem is: instagram.com/reel/C7TgBY7oLBD/?igsh=MTlseDZoODdka282YQ==
Just because you dont use a hotshoe doesnt mean others dont 🤦🏻
I’m so lost 1,500 for FF 6k is a really good deal to me I don’t get it?
Very useful info. I did not think of lighting condition regarding the LUTS.
Unfortunately the S9 this is a very crippled S5II .
Glad it was helpful!
Lol much respect for pointing out WHY this was a poor release that ruined a good release run for lumix.
Crazy how an entire country, the country Panasonic is from, disagrees (it sold like wildfire in Japan)
Show the data
Interesting that you have fallen for the film simulation hype. Anyone who know color can get incredible results from ANY camera on the market. If not, then the weak point is just behind the viewfinder... 😊
I might have been interested in this camera, but the cold shoe, lousy video record times and gimmick 26mm f 8 are deal breakers. Also, it has no audio out jack for headphones.
It could have been a decent modular system
It’s so bad that if you made an April fools camera to trigger everyone, you’d basically make this
Exactly 💯 point on
Not interested in this camera, but stayed for the street shots. Awesome, Tudor!
Thank you
Why are we hating on the folks who went to Japan?
😂
They went 95% in the right direction and then somehow missed the mark… My first thought actually was: „Yes… but no“
It's the Pentax K -01 follow-up!!😂😂
Perfectly right
Can’t monitor the audio with headphones, not even with USB. Imagine filming all day, taking the footage home to find out the audio is terrible.
And 15 to 20 minutes recording limits... And 50%crop in 60fps 4k.... And the list goes on and on...
Very well said - the rolling shutter images with LUT applied, the next trend 😂
They must be taking the piss Tudor the s9 specs make the GF1 sound ground breaking I bought the GF1 in 2010 at discount thought it was great till Fuji started making cameras still got my Fuji xe 2 still works great and would trounce this new s9 did they announce this camera on April. 1st ? I would not want it at half its price sad so sad
S9 is excellent test of what influencers are fake and which ones honest
Dang it you need to tell people this is the best camera since sliced bread~ I need everyone to go buy this so I can get a X100VI at regular price 😂
Thank you 🙏👍
S9 is clearly not for the likes of your audience, Tudor.
Curious, can somebody give a list of the influencers who positively reviewed the S9.
All the ones released the "review" videos yesterday. all of them.
Good to know that there are almost no real independent reviewers. Ecept a few like Tudor and Camera Conspiracies who was also honest about the S9.
Petapixel did a reasonable job in my opinion, but in a more subtle way than Camera Conspiracies
Pretty sure its a beginner photo camera. Trying to compete with q3 and 100vi. The reason there is a bunch of video features is because its in their dna. It would be expensive to remove.
This camera is pointless and the stupid dishonest reviews from the paid puppets is disgraceful. Well done Tudor.

I think the form factor will work when we get global shutters... but until then.... yeah.... Also, the influencers got a trip to Japan out of it so who's to blame them I guess
They could have made a killing if they stuck with m43. I use Lumix m43 daily because of it's size

Exactly 💯
Exactly 💯
It’s sad, is all I can say.
Capitalism at its worst
If you are feeling sorry for Panasonic employees, shill influencers and people misled into buying this woke lego brick of an object, also spare a thought for existing MFT users and their lens collections who are being shown the finger by Panasonic. Some of the most disgusted comments I've seen are by Panasonic fans who are invested in Panasonic equipment. On the plus side I've found a new channel to sub to, to replace one of those I unsubbed from yesterday. Good video
have you ever used S9 before posting this video?

Is there even a need to? 😆

I replace the channel of influencer to your channel. Unbelievable , influencers have been corrupt
@@Tudor_Mateescu Btw, does the Nikon Z8/9 has mechanical shutter?
@@JJ-op4oj no, but they have FAST READ OUT, so the problem with rolling shutter is almost gone - but still present in some situations. Look at Petapixel review where they touch the problem and show the rolling shutter and banding - you can't shoot by night over 1/60 to not have the problem... Also for street photography and fast moving subjects S9 will be very problematic.
So the key is in the READ OUT speed of the electronic shutter that on S9 is slow and on Z8/Z9 is very fast.

Also pair it with Sigma 85mm f1.4 at those events 😬
A sigma contemporary lens or any other lens but I won't be stuck at 26mm 😬@Tudor_Mateescu
