  • A look around San Antonio, TX, followed by ghost hunting at the Alamo.
The Roman catholic mission was set up around 1718, constructed of adobe mud and hay. It changed location a few times. Once it flooded after heavy rain and was moved to the other side of the river where it sits today. Stone construction started about 1744. They built a tower on it, but it collapsed. The plan was to build a third story with a dome roof, but construction stopped at the second floor. It was never an official church because it was never finished. It was a self-sufficient compound, with livestock and corn fields around it. Six different flags have flown over the Alamo.

Shout out to the German beer gardens in San Antonio. Had great food with cold tankard of beer. I can’t remember the name of it. Maybe Little Rhein. Fantastic sauerkraut. Not like canned kraut. Not a strong vinegar flavor. Kraut-tastic!

It’s nice when people cover their face a little when passing in front of the camera. Even if it’s public property I’d rather not show much face. Lots of other people walking in front of the Alamo who didn’t cover their face. And then nobody covers their face from security cameras.
If corporations ramp up facial recognition technology, the creep factor of them plotting your location data points when you walk past security cameras, is gonna make most people wear masks and panty hose on their face.
I think most people keep phone location services off until they need directions, which tells corporations to piss off. The idea of everyday consumerism morphing into a dystopian future is disturbing.
Corporations noticing that you’ve been eating more lately, so they automatically ship you extra toilet paper, because if there’s more going in, there’s more coming out.
