Hey Chase, I want to thank you for your contributions of promoting Band-Maid. I have said this in the past, Band-Maid is the band that brought me back to music again. I stopped trying to find a great band to follow about 25 years ago. As a musician of 56 plus years and is disabled now and can't play keyboards anymore. Band-Maid has put a smile on my face and has made me very proud of them. I support Band-Maid by buying everything they sell and that has been since 2014. Thank you again Chase, I wish you continued success and stay healthy and happy. 🙏👍👍

They brought me back when I was about 65 or 66. I'm 71 now and am still totally hooked on them. The new live release has been pre-ordered and I have just about everything else. To my mind they just keep getting better and better.

I also have pre ordered the limited edition, my walls and display cases are filled to the brim with everything Band-Maid. I even found a complete set of Band-Maid zippo Lighters,it's amazing. Thanks for your reply and time. I will turn 71 in May. I wish well and great health. 🙏👍👍

" We are very lucky to be alive at a time when they are making music ! " Thank you Chase...That is THE quote of the Band Maid era ! I've thought it and I'm sure I've said it along with many others. I'm SO glad to hear it from you. Your take on things BM is always lucid and informative. Not since I bought my first album ( Meet the Beatles, for $1 in 1974 ) Have I fallen so hard for musical artists. Miku is spot on when she describes their uniting as " a miracle ". In a world being overrun by negativity and division, Band Maid is an elixir, promoting all that is good in music and all that is possible when we work hard, and work together !

"We are very lucky to be alive at a time when they are making music." I couldn't agree more. The more I listen to them, the more I am grateful to hear Band-Maid music. It's like finding something so rare, once in a lifetime, and so special it must be cherished and shared. Like many, they changed my life and the way I approach music now. I appreciate being able to listen to them daily. And it doesn't matter how many thousands of times I've listened to a song, they still blow me away. I believe World Domination is happening. And that 2023 marks the year Band-Maid conquers the world. ぽ

Hearing the older generation talking about the great Rock era of the 60s and 70s, I've always wondered what it was like growing up and newly discovering the music of bands like Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, etc and all the other rock legends of that era when they were just starting out and to be able live in that moment and culture. But now, I can totally relate because of Band Maid.

This is just a monster of a song. I ranked it as the best song of 2022 by a landslide.
I describe the feeling of the song/Kanami's leading/playing like the ocean.
Kanami and her guitar are like a powerful wave of emotion. There are parts of the song where you can feel that wave building up and as it crashes down, the rest of the instruments coming crashing together creating such a powerful sound/feeling.
I still get goosebumps listening to this song. Feeling this song performed live is the pinnacle of live music that I have had the chance of experiencing.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this song performed live twice in Tokyo and dropped my jaw twice 😲. I believe so did many of American audience at 12 venues in the last October. Band-Maid, however, did not play it in the final concert of US Tour. In an interview Kanami explained the reason why B-M didn't play it in Chicago: "From No On requires a lot of adrenaline to play, but I was a bit anemic that day. I would have passed out if we did it". [source : Japanese magazine "PMC vol.25" page 100] .... I don't blame you, Kanami 💛。Then B-M played "From Now On" as 21st in the total 26-song setlist at Tokyo Garden Theater on Jan.9 this year. If Kanami is in good shape, her adrenaline is inexhaustible 😍

I saw them play it for the last time on the US tour at American Dream in New Jersey, right in front of Kanami on the rail... It was magical! After the song Kanami staggered off back stage for the following MC & didn't return for awhile, she was visibly exhausted & looked like she was about to pass out there... it was no surprise & a wise choice for her that they chose not to play it or any instrumentals at the following final show in Chicago.

They've used this to open their set at several festivals. It does attract the attention of the casual bystanders. I went to their serving in Dallas, TX last October. There was a tall guy in front of me with (I assume) his wife and her girlfriend. They played this right after *Influencer.* Saiki, as she does, put her microphone in a half-stand back by Akane's drum riser and walked off stage. The girlfriend stage whispers "She just left! Is something wrong?" The serious sounding backing track starts and then this song washes over everyone. It was a transcendental moment.

Another great discussion, Chase. This one IMHO surpasses "Onset." A testament to how they double their proficiency and cohesion every year. Besides both being showcases for all that, in line w/what you said, this tune, like "Onset," is structured like a song. I wonder if that was the idea, and then they decided it stood on its own as an instrumental?

LOL...... Band-Maid are one of "those" legacy band in my home. My son who plays giutar and bass,, who is 15, I use Miku as a tool for determination and growth.- MISA is one of his Favourite bass players and he love's Kanami's song writing. I'm just glad he knows who Band-Maid is. Cool reaction, Chase.

you got exactly right when you said it should be played after an intermission. they play it right after "sayonakidori" which is after omajinai time with Miku

Not much to add, just an appreciation for the work done by the synths and piano in the overall soundscape. They help build the almost cinematic feel to the track.

Thanks Chase. Great reaction! Kanami's genius is that she wrote her guitar part to take the place of Saiki's vocals. Her guitar melody tells the story. She also provides an underlying piano to add to the construction of the melody without overwhelming it. It's sheer brilliance. Band-Maid only does Band-Maid things, because there are no others that can match them. They are their own genre. I can't wait to see them again in Detroit this time. 😃

When I saw them in Washington DC they played Sayonakidori, Onset and this song while Saiki was able to give her voice a rest. The only thing the video misses is the feeling of being hit in the chest by the bass and drums. Yet, you could still clearly hear the guitars.
And yeah I agree it’s a song. Kanami is the “vocals” of this song.

Hi Chase, great to see you again. Great review thank you! You mentioned wanting a live track and/or an instrumental. The ladies just released "Puzzle" live (an old fan favourite) and there is a totally different acoustic version out there too. One Saiki sings with anger/bitterness, the other with a broken heart. A great two in one that shows just what they can do with one song/two arrangements (pretty please).

The reason I love Jeck Beck so much is that his instrumentals are songs, not novelties or musicianship showcases. Band-Made is like that. They write songs with and without lyrics. Thank you

As to your next live one or your next acoustic, since you’ve mentioned Puzzle in a few of your earlier videos, try the latest live version of Puzzle. Consider pairing it with the acoustic live version of Puzzle (you can ask us on the Discord for a copy of the video as it’s not on RUclips).
Or maybe consider a Miku showcase with Sayonakidiri (the live acoustic is on YT; ask us for the must-see live electric version as well) HADGD

Poor Carneson can't decide whether to air guitar or air drum! Do I imitate Kanami, or Akane? Then Misa kicks in and it becomes a three-way tie! Whom do I choose??? I understand the dilemma well!
