But what excites me the most is Akane's foundation on the drums. Like you said, the little details she puts in are something my ears always find interesting and impressive. Some may disagree with me on the following, but even though everyone has evolved tremendously in the last 2-3 years, for me Akane is the one who has emerged the strongest and most evolved from the Pandemic period (which for me started with the album 'Unseen World'). Closely followed by Kanami on guitar. I'm really looking forward to what you have to say about their latest MV to 'From Now On'. They teased this song earlier this year when they announced their latest EP and already then I was on fire for it. The full song has exceeded those high expectations by miles, and it is already one of the most played songs ever by these ladies, at least in my playlist. :) Until then and greetings from Germany. _____________________ 【 _Till I return to dust I will stand alone in the dark with my pride at the end of time_ 】--- *Nemophila* - '徒花 -Adabana-' 💮

Band Maid have the habit of doing the simple things in a complicated way and the complicated simply. They never over do anything and do enough and add enough to just compliment the song and make it as perfect as it can be. It is hard to appreciate how long they have been together and how good they are and how much they keep on evolving.
the god damn record scratch in my brain when I found out at the end that the Ty you were referring THE Ty Frank, co-author of The Expanse... I about fell out of my chair. His books are awesome people, and he loves Band Maid? He got more awesome? fuuuuck. Great video by the way, loved all of it. I'm just reeling a bit at that random info at the end.
@@evilducks3710 I feel ya.. I just follow a handful of band accounts on there and his name was brought up in several of Band-Maid communities when he started tweeting about them earlier this year.
I have never found words in the two years ive been trying, words good enough of these girls. The amount of- everything. Everything they do. Relates and connects and resonates with my soul. Band-Maid has managed to prevent me from committing suicide two times in only 23 months. I owe Band-Maid my life; and then some.
-to add to the above statement, i really don’t like to bring up this time in my life anymore but when i was at my lowest, every time WITHOUT FAIL, that i had a suicidal thought, their song Carry On Living would play, not once or twice, but over a dozen times. Spot-on everytime. Like clockwork. Uo until one night i had a knife to my neck for almost an hour out of indecisiveness and was begging for a sign that this was a coincidence when Carry On Living played again, like it had been, but i wasnt convinced yet. About to slide the knife at the end of that song. I heard something i recognized. Carry On Living had managed to play Two times in a row. (On Spotify, this is already basically impossible. But even more so considering the song is only listed on the entire website catalog ONE TIME. Literally not possible.) It was a miracle. I thank Band-Maid and God every day that im no longer in that pit and my life has gone nowhere but up ever since. I can only hope they know how much they mean to me and many others.
I don’t know if you’ve listened to other music of theirs outside of reactions, but in the spirit of your request at the end of this video, I’d love to see your reaction to “Alone.” It was the first song released where they got all the writing credit. Also, “YOLO” is, in a way, their oldest song (despite being released in 2016), as it is based on a demo Kanami made before Band-Maid existed. “Daydreaming” is the song which Kanami says has her favorite guitar solo. All of these have official music videos for you to react to. And the acoustic version of “Sayonakidori” is an absolute gem. It says it’s only up on RUclips for a limited time, but it’s more than four months since they posted it.
Yeah...'Alone' is a pivotal tune...Mincho's Mission Statement Reset. A beauty!! Great suggestions and I have thought a few times in the last year or so...CHASE DESERVES DAYDREAMING!! Just a tonic of a song...soul-soother.
When it comes to their instrumentals. For me, "Onset" has already been surpassed by "Dont Be Long" and "Without Holding Back". "From Now On" is epic and shows Kanami on another level, but WHB is still my number one.
@@ernestnesbon I’ve always compared without holding back and don’t be long to onset always initially thinking I liked them more but later realizing it’s just cuz I heard onset 100s of times more and at the end of the day a better instrumental IMO. However “from now on”, there’s zero doubt that it’s my favorite instrumental
@@ernestnesbon lol. In the end it's all subjective anyway. But it makes for a fun squabble. ALL their instrumentals are great. And quite a few of their songs w/o vocals are pretty great also with Giovanni being my favorite.
@@jkkansasband7056 I wrote, for me. There's nothing wrong with choosing another song as a personal favorite. Isn't that a recurring theme with B-M songs in general? So many songs at a very high level and every song is someone's favorite.
Thanks for reaction! I love this band so much because they don't rest on their laurels, always trying something new and putting it into their songs. There are many fans who always want to have the same songs and style from them, I on the other hand find it so exciting to never know what the Maids will come up with again next time and still always immediately sound for me 100% like Band-Maid. Have a hunky dory day!
I absolutely love your reactions to Band Maid. I feel exactly the same way. It's been how many years I have been a fan of them and I am always in awe of them. You have a Hunky Dory Day also.😎🤘✌️
I appreciate and enjoy that band-maid is trying to innovate on their sound/style while staying true to what we all love about their music. Its still a band-maid song, but theyre doing sooo many different things here that is amazing to hear. Then they release songs like "I'll" which is completely different and "HATE" which greatly contrasts both of these. Their newest EP is incredible and thankfully they just released their instrumental as a music video if you want to check it out!
Can't wait! Hopefully you also get to watch/react to Edward Hunt's video of the Akane focus House of Blues Chicago fancam of the endless Story performance. What an emotional video! Would love to hear your POV as a former Touring Musician. :)
Chase, do this. It is a real peek into how much emotion Akane puts into her performance. "Endless story" was played at the end of their last show before the pandemic, Budokan was announced then lost, then two years of waiting to perform live. As they played this in Chicago, the last stop on the U.S.tour I think the challenges overcome, the crowd singing along, the triumph of finishing the tour with her friends all hit Akane and the joy that usually shows in a smile just overflowed and she played on; it was powerful and beautiful.
Saw them in Philly Chase in October … it was incredible…. They were on point the whole show … only problem is they only played for an hour and 45 minutes ….. I wanted more!!! If you get the chance GOOOOOO!! Love the reactions … keep posting!
There is an interview, in Japanese and translated to English, with him in the Unseen World scorebook. I need to reread all those interviews sometime soon.
Every once in a while it feels like BAND-MAID songs are *almost* too much, and it's entirely because each of these girls is so stupidly talented. In order to let all of them shine in any one song you either have to have a Dream Theater-esque 12-minute saga or just go for it and have it be just that little bit overwhelming. Also, where's my Saiki rap EP?!
Great Great Great Reaction Chase...I've been following you for about a year now and this has to be one of the best reactions to a Band-Maid song yet. I've seen people in comments recommend "From Now On" you're gonna love it.They also did a song for Genshin Concert a few months back that you'll love "Dawn's Winery Theme" it's an instrumental that is just simply beautiful. Thanks again for that priceless reaction when Saiki started rappin Maidiacs Unite !!!
In MY head I heard "Guitaraus", which of course would be short for "Guitarasaurus", as in "Guitarasaurus Rex". Then I quickly pictured Godzilla...playing the guitar...in a maid uniform. Now, I need therapy. 🤯 GREAT track. GREAT reaction/breakdown! 🕊
Oh dude. At the bridge, we had the exact same reaction. I am never disappointed with your reaction videos. You always teach me new things to listen four and your explanations are broken down so well..Thank you so much
Thanks Chase! You are still the best reactor (Don't tell the Gaijin Guys). lol. One thing to mention. I was in front of Misa in Boston. Watching her, I was in awe. Her playing and technique are beyond marvelous and I was quite enamored with her and her bass playing throughout the concert. To say these ladies are incredible is an understatement. To see and hear them play live, they are better, not many bands can claim that, but these ladies back it up. When you get a chance to see them live, don't hesitate, go. It will be worth it! Take care.
Great dissection and analysis, as always. Really enjoyed the impromptu vocabulary lesson, too. I wasn't expecting to learn some new, almost offensive, words today. Example: "This song really tickled my "guitorus".
The MV was filmed at the Ishikiri Sanmyaku (Quarry Mountains) in Japan. A Band-Maid fan went and took a video. ruclips.net/video/aNH2AbBi_04/видео.html
Thanks, entertaining reaction. The unexpected rap part is brilliant. And the young ladies high carat diamonds. You mentioned something about airhead, nothing wrong with that, Kanami is doing pretty well if you ask me. :-) (Refers to the others in the band respectfully and lovingly describing her as a natural airhead.)
Can't wait for you to hear "from now on" instrumental. (MV just dropped) Kanami finally gives herself permission to show what she's capable of and we see inside her beautiful musical mind for the whole song. From now on (sic) we have to see her as one of the handful of really exceptional rock guitarists in the world, including the dead guys. Other gem - they say they love reactors and reactions and watch them all the time. So it's pretty much a dead cert that they know who you are and watch you watching them. Someone pointed this out and mentioned that you in particular, who have tough times, maybe need to know this. They almost never interact on social media, even their own accounts. But it doesn't mean they don't notice. They recognised several reactors during the American gigs. When someone mentioned all this I knew I wanted to tell you.
BTW I like the way they play with us. Knowing how much we all love MISA and her solos are never long enough, they drop a break in and little fill and then let her out of the cage again. Masterly.
I've been waiting for your reaction to this song! looking forward to it. And if possible, I would also like to hear your reaction to the latest EP (Official Music Video). 😁 Also, there are many US tour fancams, so please let us know your impressions, including your analysis.
LUL at the intro! Thumbs up, as ever, for the man, the myth, the F'n LEGEND, Mr. Artsy himself, Chase Carneson! Sick of you talking? You madman, that's why we're here!
Thankyou Chase :) So happy to see you do more Band-maid :) Ive missed how you can point out a lot of new stuff in their songs. I hope you also at least get to their new instrumental from this EP 'From now on' - they only just released the MV for it too! I still think in most cases its better to watch foreign music without subs so you can concentrate on the music- but if a song has particularly impactful lyrics that are maybe the main reason a song was a hit, then they should be on.. Like Hate on this EP- the lyrics are so viscious its kinda funny! Or like say Usseewa by Ado. Have you heard any Ado? She is an incredible young japanese singer- but its more about her voice than the instruments.. all the songs are so different but maybe you'd like 'Backlight'? That has some good instrumental stuff too.
🤣 Yeah great song. Seriously need to check out "From Now On" from the same album. The ladies just dropped the vid on their youtube channel and it is EPIC! Nice to see you back.
Thank you for your analysis of this track Chase. The EP Unleash is worth the price just for this track by it's self. The first track "From now on" is an instru-mental. The whole feel of the EP is like a musical explosion.
Thank you for reacting to Band-Maid, Influencer. You may react to the instrumental From Now On from the same album. Or you may react to the song "I'll" from the same album, it's not a MV but it's in their playlist on YT. Kanami their main composer love to compose songs in a layered way. It's also interesting the way she writes the guitar parts. The two guitars and the bass plays, at times, completely different things, but when put together it sounds absolutely amazing.
The talent level in Band-Maid is insane, I feel like they have at least one "holy crap that's unreal" moment in every song they do. I love how Band-Maid is able to experiment and add a "rap" to one of their songs, but that it is still unmistakably still a Band-Maid song. Enjoyed your reaction to this song, your analysis always adds to my enjoyment of a song because you point out stuff I miss on my first listen(s). If you get a chance, I'm sure a bunch of us would be extremely interested in your thoughts on the new Metallica single that dropped out of nowhere.

9:25 Chase, you are improving your skills, but you need to drop all the way out of your chair and on to the floor to be awarded the Mr Rock N Roll medal... 😂😂😂
HAHDD? Sounds like something requiring medication! 😅 An entertaining and instructive breakdown Chase, which has helped me to better appreciate this track. The bass and guitar solos are the obvious attention grabbers, but some of the more subtle elements took a while to sink in.
Like Jamie below said , check out their instrumental “From Now On” which is a produced MV …. They melted brains coast to coast with it here in the USA ….. it’s supersonic ….
Location is a decommissioned granite quarry in the Ishikiri Mountains, Ibaraki from 1909 era that produces the "Inada" stone or "white lady" stone because of its white luster, strong and durable, like Band Maid, Po! Also, Japanese origin - "Honcho-dori" was the "Main Street" in Yokohama (same area Band Maid had their 2021 Christmas concert). Story say the American sailors, during the late 1800, were directed to follow this road back to the ship. Therefore, "easy street" to get back to the ship after liberty. Most likely pronounced by the sailors as "Hunky Dory." Check out the lyrics, its on point about the influencing culture.🦍 Btw, the "Guitorist" serves no biological function other than pleasure, Po! 🤓
I hate reactions where the reactor tells me he likes (the song they are reacting to) or not. Chase helps appreciate the music more. He draws my attention to things that I miss. Now when I hear something I am more aware.

Until then and greetings from Germany.

This video was filmed here: 石切山脈 . You can search for 石切山脈 in your maps. It's about 133 km north of Tokyo. It's the Ishikiri Mountains, one of the largest quarries in Japan. And thank you for another great Band-Maid reaction. It's really a fantastic song.
Coordinates are 36°22'34.55" N 140°12'13.17"E
This was such a great song to see them play live.
Couldn't agree more!
Ditto
BAND-MAID'S ability to cram so much AWESOMENESS, both musically and visually, into such a short amount of time is AMAZING!!
Their latest vid, the instrumental From Now On, is one big show off session that will knock your socks off!
Thanks again!🤘🤩🤘
Oh, and is that a San Francisco Giants cap up there on your shelf?
The Maids entire US tour was a fantastic success. And so many great live fancams to watch! Their playing and antics were as fresh and fun to experience from first show to last. It's truly been Hunky Dory Days for USA fans, that's for sure! A live Band-Maid experience is not to be missed, if at all possible! BRAVO Band-Maid!!!!! Thx, Chase!
You see them?? I did in Philly and it was incredible …. Can’t wait til they come back!
100% AGREE
@@Darkstarr-ud2go My second time. I wish I could go to the Tokyo Garden show in Jan.
He's been gushing about them on his
Twitter account for months...
@@cembor I have mostly fallen off the bird themed hellscape app. This is delightful information
Literally not possible.)
It was a miracle. I thank Band-Maid and God every day that im no longer in that pit and my life has gone nowhere but up ever since.
I can only hope they know how much they mean to me and many others.
Great reaction Chase! Guitorus needs to be nominated for "word of the year"! 😀
Ty Franck is cool - that’s awesome that you became (internet) friends!
This one will be interesting. As an FYI- Their newest MV- the instrumental FROM NOW ON just dropped and IMO beats out ONSET!? There, I said it.
Ooooh alright then
When it comes to their instrumentals.
You have a Hunky Dory Day also.😎🤘✌️
Ty Franck, one half of James S. A. Corey, of The Expanse fame. Nice, Chase! Great react, too.
haha chase, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this one.
🙏🙏🙏
The only thing these girls repeat is their awesomeness! 🤘
Masahiko Fukui is the mix/master engineer. He's worked on (I think) every BAND-MAID studio release since YOLO in 2016.
If you haven't seen it yet watch the new instumental FROM NOW ON. I guarantee it. I always enjoy your analysis.
Until this dropped, I had no idea how desperately I needed a Saiki rap song. But I do. I really, really do.
Thanks for the continued coverage of Band-Maid Chase. I get so hyped up and then I get so sad when I keep checking and they are not on TIDAL yet...
(Refers to the others in the band respectfully and lovingly describing her as a natural airhead.)
Loved your reaction to this masterpiece of Band Maid's excellent composition !
10:38 Were you about to do a Mr. Rock N Roll right there?🤣
BTW I like the way they play with us. Knowing how much we all love MISA and her solos are never long enough, they drop a break in and little fill and then let her out of the cage again. Masterly.
You are exceptional. Thank you for all that you've given your fans (and for supporting Band Maid and their work). Happy New Year!
Very kind of you. Loving this group and there’ll be lots more to come in 2023 💪
I've been waiting for your reaction to this song! looking forward to it.
And if possible, I would also like to hear your reaction to the latest EP (Official Music Video). 😁
Also, there are many US tour fancams, so please let us know your impressions, including your analysis.
And the fan cams are of excellent quality!
LUL at the intro! Thumbs up, as ever, for the man, the myth, the F'n LEGEND, Mr. Artsy himself, Chase Carneson! Sick of you talking? You madman, that's why we're here!
Chase is going to be knocked to the floor after next hearing "From Now On", I'll and Hate?. Lol
Who is this Ty person that I need to thank for getting this in your radar. Thanks Ty!
co-author of The Expanse series of Sci-Fi books. Probably one of the best sci-fi book series... and TV series in recent years.
"From Now On" - official music video. I think you will find it very hunky dory.
As Ryan Mears says in complete admiration, "This fucking band!!!"
MISA doing bass assassin things!
Love their music, and love your reaction and input ✌
Wow, great lyrics. Fantastic everything! Love the rapping (never thought I'd say that) need more Band-Maid rap! 😂
Oh, I really missed your Band-Maid reactions Mr Carneson! Yeah....
🤣 Yeah great song. Seriously need to check out "From Now On" from the same album. The ladies just dropped the vid on their youtube channel and it is EPIC!
Nice to see you back.

Their are sound reasons why you have (almost) 65 thousand subscribers. Band Maid for Life, and have a hunky-dory day!
your reactions make my day. thank you for sharing your knowledge and your joy.
Thank you for your analysis of this track Chase.
The EP Unleash is worth the price just for this track by it's self.
The first track "From now on" is an instru-mental.
The whole feel of the EP is like a musical explosion.
My old Polk Monitors love the EP; at least that's what they tell me😁
Thank you for reacting to Band-Maid, Influencer.

"Guitoris"...is that like 'the lost chord'...an UNFINDABLE guitar riff?? Of course a woman would find it ;-) Great reaction Chase.
Just wait until you react to from now on by our Maids! The composition of this tune is masterful!
I believe this is the first time you ever nearly fell off your chair lol.
Okie dokie goes with hunky dorie
The talent level in Band-Maid is insane, I feel like they have at least one "holy crap that's unreal" moment in every song they do. I love how Band-Maid is able to experiment and add a "rap" to one of their songs, but that it is still unmistakably still a Band-Maid song. Enjoyed your reaction to this song, your analysis always adds to my enjoyment of a song because you point out stuff I miss on my first listen(s).
If you get a chance, I'm sure a bunch of us would be extremely interested in your thoughts on the new Metallica single that dropped out of nowhere.
I wish you could’ve seen it live with us in the states!
Thanks Chase. Have a hunky dory day!
Chase you're reactions are like Band-Maid's songs.........................never a disappointment! Just STOP apologizing for taking time for giving your commentary, it's the reason why I watch these videos. I like songs broken down and you do it very well.
Great job sir!. Thanks.
Thank you for reaction Chase . I so impressed with you knowledge 🤟🤟. Keep it up sir !
9:25 Chase, you are improving your skills, but you need to drop all the way out of your chair and on to the floor to be awarded the Mr Rock N Roll medal... 😂😂😂
...and CHASE is Back on Maidiac radar LOL. Hope you and the fam' are doing well Chase and great to see this pop up on my YT notifications.
One of the few reactors to not get insecure about the lyric content :)
It is alwasy amazing so see how bands try something new from now to then instead of doing the same thing for decades, at least I think so.
Band-Maid ticks every box - I just didn't realise there was that many boxes to tick
HAHDD? Sounds like something requiring medication! 😅
An entertaining and instructive breakdown Chase, which has helped me to better appreciate this track.
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! You have a "Da.... Hunky Dory Day" also!
BAND MAID release a new instrumental song called " from now on " you NEED to react to it 100000% you will more than like it ;)
This place is a huge Japanese quarry.
I think this is probably a "Dig the rock!" message.
There's a lot of rock here.
Your reactions are great! Welcome back to Band Maid.
Band maid will lure Chase back! Hope they tour Europe soon.
I hate reactions where the reactor tells me he likes (the song they are reacting to) or not. Chase helps appreciate the music more. He draws my attention to things that I miss. Now when I hear something I am more aware.
Glad to have back. Thanks. BM doing BM things
