⏩ Video Question: What is your favorite breakfast food???????
For live content catch me on Twitch. www.twitch.tv/drumrolltony
Waffles, Peanbut Butter and Jam for me
TapSiLog 🔥 (Filipino breakfast dish)
I don't often eat breakfast but if I have to choose. It would be grilled pork chops with sticky rice.
Biscuts and gravy, a little sausage on the side with some hashbrowns. Hands down my favorite.
Some of my fav brekkie items are: home fries or hashbrowns, pbj sammy, bowl of piping oatmeal and during colder winter months minestrone soup with toasted buttered baguette slices. Play some Japanese Breakfast in the background for mood. 😊
This instrumental has permanently placed Kanami in my guitar god strata. She is too consistent at producing memorable melodies and riffs that pierce my soul. She will never fail. Awesome and Amazing is not even good enough for her. Peace to all.
I was gonna say you went overboard a bit, but let's face it you didn't.😁👌
@@GaryHolloway-810 Sorry, waaaay to much great music that I enjoy immensely. And she's the main culprit of this obsession. And I must call it an obsession. Without the music you got a comedy team maybe. They can do skits and put'em on YT. 😲🙃
@@jkkansasband7056 They are the epitome of multitasking & man they definitely multiply the awesomeness of every task they do :)
@@GaryHolloway-810 They are great at everything they do. At least that's my opinion. 😁
She's the next riff master after Toni Iommi
Took two flights each way from Canada to see them in NYC October28th at Irving Plaza. Venue only held 1200 ppl with great acoustics. Absolutely the best concert I’ve ever attended. The entire band is so incredibly talented but I believe Kanami has stolen my heart. 😍❤️🇨🇦
@DrumRollTony_Reacts , thank you Tony. If I didn’t have to work I would fly to Japan and turn into a full time groupie ! 😀 Your review was excellent and your depth of musical knowledge is very evident. Cheers ~
I did the same to see them in Silver Spring MD.
Totally worth it.
I was at that show, up in the balcony. An incredible show! I drove from Pittsburgh. Worth the travel
I'm glad you made the trip, it was a night I'll never forget. I've been to a lot of shows over the last 50 years or so, but this one was special for me as Band-Maid is personally reviving rock from its doldrums and they are a throwback to the great rock groups of the past and they have vaulted to number one on my list of live performances. The only other ones close were The Doors at the Whiskey a Go Go in LA in 1969 and a massive Atlantic Records Concert in Madison Square Garden in either the late 70's or early 80's. My bucket list includes a trip to Japan to see Band-Maid, Wagakki Band, Baby Metal, Scandal, Nemophila, Aldious and Li-sa-X on their home field.
Band-Maid will go down in the history books as one of the greatest bands of all time. Saiki is the passion, Kanami is the soul, Akane is the pulse, Misa is the groove, and Miku is the heart of the band. Individually they are spectacular but together they are unstoppable!
World Domination po!
Great analogy...Props to you for that insight !
Nice one 😄👍🍻
next to polyphia, im confident about that
Hopefully one day they will tour together with the Mexican sisters they met at Aftershock. ruclips.net/video/sCxlA7OWg8o/видео.html

I've already listened to this song at least 2000 times (I'm not kidding) and it never bores me. Damn it's so beautiful... Anyway man, we wouldn't mind a 25 minute video 😏
Guilty of it too!
AKANE really outdoes herself here; she has really fast hands.
KANAMINCHO again shows the world that she is a masterful compose without equal.
For more heavy BAND-MAID, and AKANE’s fastest drumming, hear RINNE (“reen-nay”).
Pure genius and that is not overstating it. Kanami is the preeminent songwriter of our time! And Miku never gets enough credit for her rhythm guitar play. She is the backing while the others shine. So stable in her playing. The piano over the top is just another Kanami insert that fits so well. Note: Kanami plays piano.
Band-Maid's instrumentals are another level like no other.
Kanami is an fantastic Piano Player. When you hear any Keys in Background, its Kanami .
It's good that Mincho, got a bit selfish, & wrote a song for herself. She absolutely shines for the whole song. The other three maids supporting her in such sublime fashion, is a real treat to the ears & the Soul. Akane is in 'Animal' mode (from the Muppets) for parts of this song.
My favorite breakfast you ask? Fried bacon & egg, with cheese on toast, and sautéed onion & mushrooms over the top.
I just knew you were going to replay that sick fill twice!
Didn't really appreciate how complex that lead/rhythm guitar duet was until you replayed it. This song has so many layers you learn something new every listen!
They played this in Seattle, but it's hard to remember the song out of the whole concert if you hadn't listened to it before. They play with a backing track in all their songs, even live.
Thanks for all the great breakdowns in the song writing. I have always thought that Band-Maid appeals to musicians because Kanami is such a studious music geek that musicians will really appreciate their writing. We also know that Akane and Misa write their own parts based off Kanami's outline, and then Kanami puts it all back together, oftentimes without much editing.
Anyways, this song is amazing. So epic yet uplifting. The orchestral intro started from Sense and they've said they're interested in incorporating more elements like that in their other songs, and this one being the result.
I 100% can't remember it. Live shows are loud, talking, beers etc 👀🍻🤟
@@DrumRollTonyReactsas they should be!
The backing tracks are kept on Kanami's laptop that she is never without on tour.
Both Kanami and Miku are working on new songs even when they are on tour. Herman Li interview.
@@outwest1014 someone mentioned that Kanami didn't have her own laptop that she uses for songwriting on the US tour so she had a ton of ideas that she couldn't work on, but now that she's home, she's able to put those down and get going on them.
@@outwest1014 kanami said in a fanclub email that she didn't have her laptop with her this time so I expect they were on a tablet and/or thumb drive. Ever since sense she's really hot into writing and creating these. She's really growing as a producer.
I witnessed this song performed in Tokyo as 12th song in the setlist and Band-Maid played it in 12 out of 13 US concerts as 8th to 11th. Most of the audience at those venues had of course already known their skills and talents. When I heard that they played this instrumental piece as opening at Saitama Super Arena on Nov.6 as support to Guns N' Roses (like they did at Aftershock), I felt very proud of them. Yeah! they showed off their skills and talents to GNR fans who did not know who the girls in maid outfit on the stage were. I felt as if I heard them screaming "Hey guys! Listen to us and open your eyes wide! We are not the persons that you think ! Salute us!" 😄 Thanks from B-M's homeland 有難う💛。
Hello Mr. Flugelhorn. I recently stumbled upon this. You might think it's kawaii. At the 1:40 minute mark Su-metals sister give a great Miku imitation ruclips.net/video/JRhpox6pTLE/видео.html

Every Maid is awesome as always but this really is Kanami's tour de force :)
How her fingers don't ACHE after playing this is beyond me
@@crabuki1273 Absolutely. And then at a concert she's only got another 20+ songs to play.🤯
Kanami's racing bicycles? haha. Maybe she can excel at that too? She seems too dainty but she is a tour de force for sure. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@jkkansasband7056 Haha. Jk if Kanami was racing i'd get a vantage point on the route & watch....& accidently kick the other cyclists off their bikes as the went past.😏
@@GaryHolloway-810 lol. I'd be right with you Gary. 😆
Many of us -- right, Tony ;-) -- just recently saw Band-Maid play “From Now On” live. OMNG! Kanami riffed her ass off. And the BPM’s matched the DB's! 😶🌫
Great job Tony!. You can bring a 25 min video whenever you want!. This is absolutely peak Band Maid. Aggresive, symphonic, heavy, melodic... I think these five girls really think "why to choose?, let´s put everything together in our magic marmite and invoke the secret spell"... and everything fits perfectly like in a swiss watch. Goddess tier level of sorcery of course. Thank you sir!
If I understood you correctly, you love the song. :-)
@@jagjag3236 Absolutely... 💕
This is Kanami with the handcuffs off. Straight Mincho going ham and it’s only possible because who she has behind her. This is TRULY a five piece band.
That was intense. They are so talented. Even without their insanely good vocals that caught and held me.
I will agree 💯👍 Kanami and company are so good word's don't describe the talent and precision involved !
Akane behind the wheel here, driving the shit outta this composition! She just has an unrelenting attack.💪🏻🤘🏻
Two of my favorite commentator quotes directed at Band Maid (more than once...or twice...or three times) from 2016: (a) "C'mon, that's not really THEM playing those instruments?"; (b) "They'll never keep this up -- women have no stamina!". Oi, Oy and Oh Boy!!!
Or Oh girls
@𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝙢𝙚🤳DrumRollTonyReacts You're working with a person who lives odd and irregular hours of being awake, AND can never seem to remember what he needs to do when he actually has a chance to do something about it. So, having said that, how may I be of assistance?
Point (b) especially cracks me up, after seeing their concerts.
@@johndoh9395 I laugh now, but it just made me angry back then!
It's like rollercoaster ride gives goosebumps , the dynamics and melody so fantastic .. best band in planet
If you get the version of the EP that includes the DVD or Blu-ray, there are videos that focus on each musician for the whole song.
Omg. thank you for that info
The iso cams are for Sense and Unleash! only. The only FNO video is this one. Hopefully, they do iso cams on Prime.
@@_DriveTime I should have verified what songs had the individual vids before I commented, but didn't. Thanks for catching that.
Great video, love the commentary! I dont mind the pausing/rewinding at all, I love the input you provide.
This song is one hell of a song! There is such an emotional presence in the song. You can really feel the emotions that are being played out with the instruments.
I describe this song as powerful like the ocean and Kanami is the mighty tide. She builds things up like a wave builds up and then all the instruments return to create that crashing impact that waves have.
It would not have been possible for Kanami to blend so many crazy things together into a cohesive composition without have confidence that Miku could hold things down on the rhythm. Miku was SO essential to keeping everything together. She provided a solid foundation that could have easily been swept up by the ocean tide known as Kanamis playing.
Miku really is the glue that holds everything together.
@P in D² LOL yeah sounds about right, huh?
@P in D² lol
"Without holding back"...another great instrumental from Band Maid 👍👍
YEEESSS
Really???...😏🔥💥💫😍
Brother they dropped another concert video from I think 2017, the song is Don't You Tell Me live. Epic back and forth between The Riff Goddess and the barefoot assassin. All with Akane on the toms underneath holding the tempo beautifully. This is also just a killer song. If you can fit this in, I believe you would really enjoy it. Keep on keepin on Tony. 3 more weeks on the road then home to Lynnwood! Bacon and eggs for breakfast. Can't beat it
The bands dexterity and Mincho's compositions are off the chart awesome, can't get enough of this band, only band to grab me like this was Rush first
time I heard them in 1978
I've said it before and I say it again... They must be one of (or maybe the) best all female rock band in the world the last years... !
Reading the comments, many claim that they are the BEST band right now/ever/in the universe. Don't get it, know several bands that are better, for example...thinking...shit...that's where my argument collapsed.
(Groucho Marx: Don't bring facts, it interferes with my argumentation.)
😆
Band-Maid's From Now on featured in Guitar World's essential guitar tracks re. Kanami's guitar work in the song.
Did travel to see them in Philly. They played Onset & this back to back! was awesome!
They did that in DC also.
if you wanna hear something with vocals, highly recommend "HATE" or "I'll" from their newest EP/album. Think those two are their most interesting and unique songs.
Heavy and intense are good descriptors. This I feel shows as you said that Band-Maid collectively keeps progressing, even after 9 years now, still perfecting, genius song writing, and one of the best Stage bands I have seen (saw them at the Neptune at start of tour) Funny but I can tell by your reaction/analysis your a band director...Earlier in life I was in band and symphony, would have loved to have had you as a director, lol! Your reaction to "a lot going on" reminded me of my past: music directors were always cool in my experiences. I really like your critical but analytic style. now watching, regards from Seattle.👍 oh yea, and it is Fruit and grain cereal.
Band Maid -Stravinsky tune;the girls have gone trough a black hole of extraterrestrial rock of the next level.
My bet would be that backing piano track is also Kanami. She supposedly does most of her composing on keys.
Yes, Mozart's, not Verdi's. Different tempo, but same notes. Kanami the short sample queen.
I don't think you stop and expound enough!! We call you stop and go Tony in the studio. Keep up the good work sir. Those who don't like it can tune in a talk show on am radio.🤪🤪
"Stop and go Tony" hahaha i love it

Band-Maid Prime dropped a Pull Angle video of Akane playing "From Now On" recently- Akane makes this look Soooooo Easy!
Band maid🔥🤟
Since you already have BAND-MAID covered, definitely check out GRANRODEO, who was the second support band during Guns 'n' Roses' japan live, so definitely a HIGH recommendation for rock fans.
As for songs/mvs to check out:
- Pierrot Dancin', great MV and just a banger overall
- CAN DO, probably their most well known song due to being a Kurono no Basket OP
- CRACK STAR FLASH, fun MV, although definitely a flashing lights warning if needed
- BEASTFUL, more on the metal side, but such a damn bop. Slight gore warning for the mv though
- QUESTION TIME, main song of their latest album and honestly, ist one hell of a more jazz/funk song with rock elements, but it's so good!
And last recommendation
- SUPERNOVA, it's just such a beautiful song and MV, definitely something to check out
Sorry if I went overboard, I just LOVE this group a lot!
It is my understanding Kanami is also a trained concert pianist. This is the first song I have heard where (I assume) she has overdubbed a piano part throughout. And you were the first reactor to even notice it. You break things down to the details of what incredible stuff they are doing, others just go "WOW."
Your "interruptions" are accepted as they are informative and helpful in understanding the music. The interruptions that are not acceptable are the reviewers who have nothing more to say than - WOW, Awesome, Cool, etc., with no real informative comments. Keep up the good work and visit BAND MAID more often!!! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I second!
I hate when reactors cannot if wait for the the first riff to play before stopping the video..Thanks for the memories Tony. Good luck
LOL ok? Imagine thining that I am not allowed to stop and identify the Dies irae at the start before we get into it? Why do people comment this stuff?
Kanami lists Larry Carlton, Carlos Santana, and Eddie van Halen as influences, and you can hear references to them from time to time in her playing. Now it might be just me, but in her writing another influence I hear is Frank Zappa, especially on this track, and especially in the way she weaves in her piano playing on the backing track.
Full English breakfast with no baked beans but extra black pudding.
Sssshhh! Kanami is speaking
Original link is in the video description if you need complete silence. Reactions involve uhhhhh talking 😅
Chills !
Man you're reactions are awesome 👌 👏 😎
Have you reacted to one of their latest stuff "Balance" is my favorite song but very underappreciated. If you love Akane like me, it's such a fun song to listen to everyday.
Can you react to "Wagakki Band - Homura + Akatsuki no Ito from 1st JAPAN Tour 2015 Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo"?
It's quite a unique band im sure you will like it.
You must have heard this in their Live show, I think they played it in every show.
If I recall correctly there were two US shows that they didn't play it. Can't remember which ones off the top of my head.
Yes it was played right after Thrill in Seattle

Please react to Maximum the Hormone (e.g. "Yoshu Fukushu", "Let’s Talk about Menkata Cottelee" or "Hungry Pride"). MTH's drummer Nao has had a great influence on Akane and her playing style.
Kanami going dark and metal heavy on us !! If this is charted Kanami's brain went in overheat for at least a minute.
Just joined your channel and it's pretty cool. You should make a video reaction of ADO music from One Piece Red Film.
I've already learned that you have to see a reaction from those who stop all the time, after you've heard the song you like a thousand times, so as not to feel bad when they cut short the experience of listening to the song, but this guy is an extreme case hahaha I leave, I listen to it a thousand times and then I come back because the reaction seems good, but now it distresses me hahaha
Tony, I'm re-watching this for I think the 7th or 8th time, and I've gotten to the part where you say if you really went though and broke the song down this would be a 20+ minute song. Can I suggest you pull a Jack? Jack from JBF Music will do a reaction then go back later and do a detailed break down and explanation.
I and probably quite a few other Maidiac's would really enjoy it if you DID do a break down video going into a deep dive.
Kanami composes songs always using the piano .because she is a pianist before being a guitarist.
When I saw this I knew you were gonna love it lol. They went off!
Good choice
This song was awesome live at the concert, so intense and so awesome.
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! Egg and Bacon Toasted Sandwich!

I hope you react to corallium or giovani one day :) corrallium is just amazing with lots going on- but giovanni- as well as lots going its kinda so wierd and manic! Lots ofpeople dont gell with it right away but it grows on them. I wonder if you'll like it at all its so odd. p.s if you DO ever do it, most fans recommend you listen to the instrumental version in the same vid (1 with 1 background) - it lets you hear whats going on a lot better instrumentally.
🤘😝🤘
Kanami The Goddess
Backing tracks played and composed by Kanami herself (who is a classically trained musician, along with Akane), which is pretty damned awesome, if you ask me.
BTW, yours is the most informative reaction to this song, or any Band Maid song for that matter, and this non-musician really appreciates all the technicalities I learned from watching you. Kudos! 👏👏👏
Above all maybe kanami has such amazing taste.
PLEASE LISTEN TO GALNERYUS THE MORE METAL I SEE THE MORE ANIME I SEE IT MAKES ME HAVE HOPE YOULL REACT TO GALNERYUS(also if you plan to do Angel of salvation there’s a 15 minute live version and a studio version which the music video cuts down to 8 minutes)
Didn't you hear them play this one in US tour?
I did. But.. lol, its a live show. Loud as fuck, drinks, people, repeat... it does not sound like this in that element
This instrumental is such a massive impact.
It's too bad that there isn't a Kanami AND a Mincho because I'd love to see her playing the piano parts too.
I've also said before that I'm not a musician so I can't tell if MISA is the best bassist around, but I can say that her bass is the best sounding bass I've ever heard.
I'd love for Saiki to learn the piano parts and play with them live.
Their technical skill and creativity makes a mockery of most bands. They are not a prog band but they can hold their own with any of them. I like to call them the beautiful machine. Great reaction, rock on 🤘
What is this What Kanami is Playing from 5:09 Thats Sick even for her Standards
Instant rock anthology unequaled
Everyone always reacts to the piano but never the violins

They used this in the US tour to give Saiki a longer break and it's so good that you don't realize there's no lead singer.
So Onset is no longer the official "Saiki's pee break" song? 😂
Tony this was in the Seattle play list , nice to see MISA using the Black Smoker Bass again .

Hi. RUclipsr "Lindross" has Band-Maid songs only drums (Sense, Black hole...).You must see.
I way prefer such kind of reaction from a professional, than bunch of musically illiterate guys, like myself, blabbing about how good music is.
It's so nice to see you back to Band-Maid. I enjoy all of your reactions, but Band-Maid is the reason that I'm here. And you have so much more left to cover :)
This song is incredible, and it was awe-inspiring to hear live. Such a show-off piece for the instrumentalists.
Vocals by PRS here.
It never fails to amaze! Akane has a more of an American Style rather than a British Style Grip. But she holds the sticks so low she can get a lot of power with very little effort. But anyway, if you like this sort of song try 'Different'. But if you want something really heavy, I'm talking bordering on Thrash, try 'Rinne' (Reincarnation), either the Original Music Video or the Live-To-Tape Okyu-Ji, both are excellent, though the picture on the OMV is grainy because it was shot on 8mm film because the Japanese horror film the song is based on also used a lot of 8mm film.
I was so blown away I didn't even realise there was a piano 😆, thanks for the analysis
Most likely played by Kanami.
Though it could be MISA also.
10:49 is the look I give when someone asks me if I've heard band-maid before.
