Huge props to you for incorporating the powers Johnny got in the modern MK games despite not liking that addition personally. So many people making DND/BG3 builds or even in entertainment in general just ignore parts of a character they don’t like but you actually made a conscious effort to stay true to his character regardless of your own feelings.
If you’re playing Curse of Strahd and you’re a monk and you choose Sun Soul you’re gonna have a great time. That radiant range damage rules. Also Long Death is great for Strahd as well
Eh, sun soul is cool, but very inefficient in terms of ki usage. Also. Long death does make the monk quite tanky, but doesn't offer anything for dmg until lvl 17, and vamps have great wisdom saves
An undead heavy campaign is definitely the Sun Soul Monk's best use case. It's just unfortunate the subclass doesn't really do a lot other than what amounts to "radiant punches at 30 feet" And a radiant fireball that's worse than a Fireball and targets Konstitution. Open Hand, Shadow Monk, and Mercy Monk definitely are the top three.
Tbh. These videos got me through a LOT of Covid, and I use them as a template, when I have new players. It’s super fun to ask someone, “Oh, you want to play a mentally broken person, who is dexterous, and has a physically a.. relationship with their murder hobo boyfriend? Okay!!”
Sorry to point this out, but your Kons at the end also have a weird semi circle instead of the K. I'm assuming it's a reference to the kharacter you were making.
honestly the bard dip could just replaced with Magic Initiate Bard. but i appreciate you clarifying that unarmed strikes are weapon attacks so maneuvers and such will work with them. i also didnt know Indomitable worked on Death Saves.
I fucking hate that instead of making the Monk as good as other classes they just slapped core Monk features on a bard. It's like ultimate confirmation WotC doesn't care for non-caster characters and classes.

Hey Tulok I just wanted to give you an idea of another build for a character and that is the Ringwraith talion from shadow of war, mostly the Nazgul talion as he looks so much cooler and may or may not have a awesome background
I made this build once. I made Johnny an Echo Knight, to include his Stunt Double, and a Divine Soul Sorcerer, as his powers come from a Mediterranean war cult who bred warriors for the gods.

I would love to see father from fullmetal alchemist because i think hes powers are cool plus you have already made multiple character from fullmetal alchemist really well
Honestly imo the Green Energy Cage is very easily an Open Hand Monk with either the magic initiate Warlock feat or straight up some Warlock for, you know, THE green projectile which also happens to deal the D&D equivalent of energy damage aka Eldritch Blast. Just ask your DM if you are allowed to use Stunning Strike as your Nut Punch and you're mostly set.
Nice also called it on Bard-Monk. Still waiting on builds for Jacky Bryant from the Virtua Fighter series aka straight up Way of the Open Hand Dex Monk build for fast combo strings, Lightning Barrage Kicks, and Flip Kicks a-plenty. And Terry Bogard especially since we're finally getting a proper new Fatal Fury game with the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of Wolves and again for Terry it's a pure Way of the Ascendant Dragon Monk cause we need pyrokinesis for Terry's Power Wave, Power Geyser/Power Geyser Triple variation, Burn Knuckle, Buster Wolf, Power Dunk, and the Star-Dunk Volcano, Ascendant Wings/Step of the Wind can represent Terry getting the height needed to do the Rising Tackle, and Aspect of the Wyrm to represent Terry channeling KI from the Earth itself via his Hakkyokosaken style and as for stats it's Dex, Strength, and Con as the three big stats since Terry is known for having what is superhuman strength, speed, and stamina and is hard to take down in a fight, Charisma and Wisdom as possible tied stats since Terry is known for having a laid back attitude and easily making friends as well as earning the respect of both friends, and foes, and despite his laid back attitude he's actually very perceptive and is the voice of reason for his friends, Intelligence can be the dump stat not because Terry is a idiot but because the other stats are much more important. As for Race, Class, and Background it's Variant Human or if you really want to have Terry live up to the nickname Hungry Wolf in the literal sense have him be a Longstrider Shifter so he can be a wolf-human hybrid, pure Monk for obvious reasons, and for the Background you can go either with the Urchin background to play on Terry being an orphan who saw his adopted dad master martial artist Jeff Bogard get murdered in front of his eyes and the eyes of his little brother Andy, or a background that screams wanderer as Terry is basically the fighting game protagonist who is the "wandering martial artist who travels around fighting different opponents to get stronger and better his own skills who makes friends with the various opponents he meets."
