If Anyone is having trouble with teleport coming out instead of low hat switch your timing to short so the game doesn’t read your input as back 1 ~ neutral kameo. (This is considering you have release

What about explaining how to go in Hype without the Kameo when activate it, when try to build the meter, it would be very interesting. Also some tips and tricks about the combo with Hype activate because they are really hard

Hey, thanks for the guide. I am struggling to execute the hype combo of 4~fdb4~bd1, every time the animation for fdb4 is finished, the opponent is already on the ground. Am I doing something wrong?

you can use the lao teleport after johnny cage back throw oki to setup an armor break similar to nutpunch oki

yea just make you do the held version of the tele so you can come down with an air normal. come down with j2. works best after the 2nd hit of throw. although if you do teleport after the full throw, lot of reversals can go under you like sindel, kung lao, etc and you can get a full combo punish @@TheKompetitor

Yes to normalize it. The Sonya Leg grab and others didn't launch on reversal, so it was weird that Kung Lao's did in the first place

I'm not the first one to say that, but seems like df3 hype is not working when you use it 2nd time
You have to meter burn it to use it a 2nd time in a combo

Yes, although there are multiple that I use depending on the match up or player. I think Lao is the best that covers all bases, but stryker and subzero are very strong and can be argued as his best
How can I get 214 to consistently connect after df3 in hype? Im tryna do it but for some reason 214 isn’t coming out fast enough after df3. Any tips?
well, timing there is pretty slow. I don’t have any visual or audio cues, I just spent some extra hours in practice mode to build reflexes and muscle memory, like with barakas db1 to cyrax. I get it 7 out of 10 times, which is good, but still not very stable especially in tight games. Maybe if there are any valuable tips, I can get some consistency
After df3 , you should be able to press 2 right after whuvh gives u time to land and press 214

@@TheKompetitor I just can’t use a pad. I’m great with hit box it’s just kung lao in particular is tough bc of holding the kameo button while pressing others makes it awkward
I changed my button bindings just for this kameo pretty much lol
I find that holding it with my ring finger and using my thumb to assist with the face buttons makes this a non issue for me. I typically use my thumb on face buttons and it’s been pretty good

In hype mode you do not need meter burn, you have to input the df3 twice in very quick succession and at a specific rhythm, it’s incredibly hard the first few times you try to
the fact that anyone thinks the slow hat setup is ok to use is crazy to me. I played against a guy who literally only spammed this and he almost always won, but as soon as I got in he was absolute trash. The he switched to kung lao with lao kameo and I destroyed his ass, just goes to show this is broken as shit and you can literally be absolute trash at the game and still win with johnny lao.
