jealous jerk offs who stalk me its pathetic that they follow me and have alerts that as soon as I post a video they dislike immediately, so pathetic how miserable their lives are, sad to say the least.
You should try the Suttner guns with the KEW quick connects and the spigot plugs that go with it There is no wobble or flex and feels much sturdier than the type of quick connects you have. However a bit more experience.
Hey Phil another get video .... I have a arblue electric pressure washer I can't find the fitting to hook up my mtm foam cannon can you help me ... thanks in advance
All new equipment...only used once to test it.. I have ar max 3000 pressure washer (3000PSI)with the newer mjjc foam cannon set up. Why do you think its leaking from the very bottom of the gun and where its connected to the powerwasher using a uberflex powerhose. I believe the mjjc lance came with O rings & Teflon tape....I never utilized them....could that be the reason why water is leaking from both areas? The Uberflex powerhose does not have any quick connects attached, just twisted and turn as best as i can to the powerwasher.
issue is terrible quality control with these parts as makers deem them as consumable so sometimes you get lucky and other times you leak no matter what.
Had the same issue on my pressure washer inlet connection. I have a male end for quick connect on the pressure washer side and a female end on the hose side. When I would turn on the hose and charge the pressure washer worked fine but as soon as I turned on the pressure washer and used the gun the garden hose would blow right off the fitting. Figured it was the O ring on the mail quick connect fitting on the pressure washer but even after changing the O ring the garden hose would still fly off when using the gun. Put a whole new male fitting on the pressure washer works great again. I wasn't sure exactly why a new O ring didn't solve the problem but after watching this video it would seem that the male fitting got worn down enough where the bearings in the quick connect contact it that under pressure it couldn't hold anymore. Thanks at least now I understand why it failed and started stocking spares in my garage just in case.
So how long did the stainless steel male fitting last ? Was that the fitting from Matt ? So brass is the way to go and have extra connectors lying around yes ? Great advise.
i have changed these fittings about 8 times since the summer they did not last very long at all. i just seem to have better luck with the brass ones over the years.
Hey Phil, I have rarely seen this, and have never had it happen to one of my personal fittings. I think it is much more of a symptom that would happen with Chinese made fittings. You’d have to be really unlucky to have both the coupler and the plug be perfectly unmatched to cause that much wear.
I also think the weight of the lance puts stress on the two components of the joint for sure and with bad fittings it amplifies it even more, the wobble between the two parts was about 60 thousandths. so far its working perfect for now and this time il monitor how long it lasts.
I just bought a set for a power washer and was having this issue and came here, sure enough, brand new fittings wore out very quickly. Probably after 20 hours of use? My pressure washer noticed it because it started to pressure cycle and so I went looking for failure points, sure enough, 1 week old fitting already leaking. Brand was Twinkle Star, probably chinese, but I'd seen them recommended by people all over. Probably pushing a brand.
i have spent money on all types of connections and the same results, i keep various in stock and the brass and steel fittings cause me far less issues than the stainless ones.
As always good solid advice, well illustrated, and also proof positive that you are the car wash "Fanatic" capable of wearing down metal parts with your numerous washes! Your cars are proof of the results! Thanks
Thank you for the video Phil, I had issues with mine too, both MTM and General Pump fittings have tolerance issues. I've been looking at ARES fittings Italian made SS, however, wasn't wallet friendly $57 QC a pop. :(
Ok so, my issue is... My neighbor gave me a pressure washer so I bought all brand new hose, gun, soap cannon, and all the fittings including brand new quick connects. The extension tube quick connects leak when under pressure! Why is that? Everything is brand new except for the machine itself!
Matt (from OG) just made a new gun with an intergated stainless plug..... i see this being a problem because you can't replace the plug "when", not "if", the plug does this same thing....
Now tell me how to fix it on a brand new fitting from OG, still just leaks no matter what, there’s barely any torque applied to the fitting, no more than it’s already designed for in the setup I’m using, even holding it perfectly level make it leak slightly less
it is a shame how poorly these fittings are manufactured today no matter where you buy them from. Best bet contact OG customer support and ask for a replacement you just might have a bad one and it is very common with sloppy tolerances it drives me nuts I can order 4 fittings and lucky if 1 is good.
i have bought from every vendor cheap and expensive with the same results. i have had far better success with brass fittings versus stainless in 20+ years.
Why someone would dislike this video doesn't make sense to me? All you are doing is sharing helpful information. Thank you 👍✌️
jealous jerk offs who stalk me its pathetic that they follow me and have alerts that as soon as I post a video they dislike immediately, so pathetic how miserable their lives are, sad to say the least.
thank you man this is a golden info like you said no one will think that thing will wear so big info thanks again
yeah it was worth showing you guys how the fitting wore so much now it wont make you always think its the quick connect causing the leak.
Same problem here. Gonna change the fittings on my lance asap. Thanks for the tip!
Thank you for advice! Never I think about this. Thank you!
Happy to help!

Well, that explains my issue. I was never able to figure it out so I gave up. Great tip thanks.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the video. I had the same problem
Glad it helped
Great information. Didn't think the disconnects were that soft. The Mosmatic fittings should last longer.
I have brand new everything. But mine still leaks so I don’t understand anything
Thanks Phil. Great tip
Great info Phil. Wow water can be powerful!
Eye opening 👀... Will check... thanks
Thanks man!
Great video thanks 👍🏼
Amazing info!
Appreciate you bro
Thanks for the info defo helps

thanks for watching and this is why i had to share with you guys. who knew right
@@autofanaticcars Right I figured replacing the O ring would be enough.
Always great content
Just to harbor freight and they have a whole lot O rings ., works good
Wonder if OG fancy Mosmatic fittings (at 10.50/ea) would last any longer

I am having the same issue, I'm ordering new fittings this evening , not a fun issue to have in the cold.
I bought a brand new kit from home depot and they still leaked, any thoughts ? 🙏

What fitting is that called that wore down?
Would you say that this would make you not go for the more premium connections? so just get some cheaper ones and replace as needed?
i have spent money on all types of connections and the same results, i keep various in stock and the brass and steel fittings cause me far less issues than the stainless ones.
Auto Fanatic thanks

ha ha ha yep
When are you going to do a video about your new pressure washer? Eagerly waiting for that one.
soon i have shot clips for that video but waiting for a much warmer day to finish it.
Thank you for the video Phil, I had issues with mine too, both MTM and General Pump fittings have tolerance issues.
I've been looking at ARES fittings Italian made SS, however, wasn't wallet friendly $57 QC a pop. :(
buy brass/plated steel i had far better luck with brass than stainless.
Look into Mosmatic fittings and quick disconnects. High quality fittings and tolerances are measured professionally.
Air tools at work that male fitting was always the first to go. I rarely had a bad coupler.
Ok so, my issue is...

yep there is a reason these fittings are replaceable not sure why he had his gun designed that way.
Phil those are verniers. Lol I work in a metal shop
Ball bearings are hard are shit. Harder than the brass or stainless they are rolling over. Thanks for the video. 👍🏻
yes and these stainless fittings are def not the toughest grade 304 so who knows what we are actually buying.
And what about the swivel? How can we fix that when is leaking from there ?
Can’t fix a bad swivel will need a replacement
Why do the unions leak on low pressure not on high….?
under pressure it does create a tighter fit at the joint
Now tell me how to fix it on a brand new fitting from OG, still just leaks no matter what, there’s barely any torque applied to the fitting, no more than it’s already designed for in the setup I’m using, even holding it perfectly level make it leak slightly less

Yup yup
👍👍👍👍
So essiantly it's best to buy these fittings from quality vendors and not off ebay from china, intresting.
i have bought from every vendor cheap and expensive with the same results. i have had far better success with brass fittings versus stainless in 20+ years.

Great tip, thank you for sharing 😁👍
