Easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials do it yourself (DIY) videos to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers and zero turn mowers.
I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.
Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like a chainsaw, weed eater, weed wacker, string trimmer, grass trimmer, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, strimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, or four stroke, four cycle units like a lawnmower, wood splitter, lawn tractor, zero turn mower, snowblower, pressure washer, generator or a ride on mower that needs parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.
My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.
I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.

A most excellent video again which saves us money! So glad that Don makes it easy for us DIY folks. Thanks so much!!!
Thank you Don. You’re the number one small engine repairman for thousands of us diy guys! Thanks so much for sharing your expertise and your clear instructions.
Glad to help
Mine leaks up near the trigger, After watching this,im going to fix it myself. Thanks Don
Yes I usually replace all the orings at the same time as they are probably all bad. Also coating them with Vasile protects them when you reassemble.
This is SO helpful.. I bought a used gas pressure washer for $100 which runs good and starts on the first pull but the only issue I had was INSANE leaking, Now I know what to do, thank you :)
1/4 inch may refer to the pipe size. On carbon pipe 1/4 " size, the diameter on the outside is 0.54 " so it can be deceiving. Thanks for the video. I had to replace a o-ring on my old reliable Honda power washer a few years ago.. Still going strong. Pipefitter from Michigan, retired
Yeah, I was thinking the size was for the quick connect itself not the o-ring size.
I find that lubricating o-rings with Superlube makes them last indefinitely.
Would petroleum jelly also work?
@@swingbelly Yes I believe so, but Superlube is designed for o-rings to keep them hydrated and slippery. PJ should at least help reduce friction which should help as well, but possibly not quite as much. Dialectric grease works well too. I think it’s probably superior to PJ. Would be a good subject for Dony to cover if he hasn’t already.
I use silicone grease, plumber's grease also works.
Superlube looks expensive, but a tube lasts a very long time, as very little is needed and is great for other uses such as door seals on cars. It doesn't leave a gunky residue like PJ. Dirt doesn't stick to it.
Do you use the plain or Teflon flavor?
So often it's the simple stuff. Thanks for the video.
I figured it would be an o-ring, but it's nice to know it takes a particular kind. Thanks! You're the best!
What is Stan's?
Not just pressure washers, leaks at fittings in your garden hose are usually fixed with a new hose washer. I like to put a light coat of plumbers grease or vaseline on o-rings/rubber washers, just in case.
Always great information. This channel has helped me maintain all of my power equipment over the years. Thanks for all you do for the RUclips community!
Thanks Don. Have yourself a great day too.
It's funny how such a tiny little O ring could cause so much trouble. Thanks for the tip and keep up the good work. 😊👍🏿
Great video on where to check for water leaks, as well as the easy fixes, on pressure washers. Thanks for sharing Don. Have a great upcoming weekend.
Can't believe only 25K people watched it. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! Very helpful and grateful.
Excellent fix…..well explained and demonstrated……as usual! Thanks!
Good fix Donnie thanks for sharing take care have a great day
Don You Are Always Awesome . Thanks Be Safe , Well And Always Watch Your 6
DB73 A most interesting repair video fer sure !! God Bless.
Very helpful thanks
i bought a used pressure washer that had leaky o-ring . selling dealer said he couldn't get parts and it was metric o-ring and he had none. luckily I mentioned it to a Kubota mechanic and he directed me to his parts department for the right size ring.
The fact that Don has a pressure washer that is at least a few years old living in Canada means that he knows how to take care of them.
My big leak is from just above the tigger. Difficult to use when aiming up like when cleaning the bottom of the gutters, the water will flow down your arm.
I am using an electric Powerstroke 1200 psi
Thanks for pointing that out, it's very helpful. Do you have any other videos on pressure washers or issues that these machines might have? like knowing how to store them away for the winter, I find so many of these thrown away because it was not taken care of like any other machine.
here's a video on how to winterize a pressure washer ruclips.net/video/8FlPuR0r0co/видео.html
Thanks for putting that up. 👍🏼

The Dony knows🎉👍
Hi Donny I have a husqvarna push lawnmower that starts then sputters then quits when it worms up. What can I do to fix it?
Noticed the dripping by the fitting at the pump to output hose, where was that coming from?
very helpfull thx :) !
What size is the screen with rubber washer? I found a 5/8 at HD that works for washing machine hoses. Seems too small
Nice vid👍... BTW.. Nice job pressure washing your lawn.... not my cup of tea... but if it works for you...😁
Great point!
As this is a Canadian channel, my question is how do you get the o rings from Stens if you are not a registered business? Sten Canada won't sell to anyone who doesn't have an account and you can't get an account unless you own a business, what's the work around for someone who just wants to fix their pressure washer?
They're sold on ebay
Mine just had this. Fixed with new o rings
Do you guys in North America Have electric powered pressure washers because all i've seen are gas powered?
nice well done
I see Bill Block was here. Greetings from Nebraska.
@@budgillett9627 hello
So what if it leaks a bit. I would not bother unless it was a big one. Does not effect the pressure.
but but but you forgot to show the O-Ring at the end of the wand that the spray tips connect to... I tried to find out the exact size that fits my Surface Maxx Pro wand and there is no info on the google search =- so I called the company and they had a difficult time looking it up ...they said the size is 11.7 x 10.65 mm o-ring !
My O-rings and silicone grease are always paired together... like 'peanut butter and jelly'.
When I release the trigger on the wand it doesn't cut the water off. I have to stop & restart and it works for a short time then stops working--What is the cause?
when that happens I replace the entire wand
Oh the o ring was broken LoL 😅🤣🤪
Thanks for the heart young man 😎👍
I feel more comfortable about buying a used one that is for sale because it’s leaking.
👍👍👍
🙂👍
And someone paid to have it fixed
I have a pressure washer like that I am getting pressure but not much I check the
Pump the Unloader but still not getting the pressure the pump required can you give me any advice please
