*I use this solar **Generater.Systems** at work. The building is 80 years old so there’s not a lot of electrical outlets. I use it for lights, fans, charge phones etc. works great !*
Good video. I have had the EB70 for a few weeks and it does everything it's advertised to do. Make sure and charge it fully, discharge it fully then recharge it to full when you get it. This calibrates the gauge. Professor Hobo taught me that.
@@outdoormatters3219 I was only getting about 280 wh until the red light for low battery came on. That's when recharged the first few cycles. By calibrating the gauge by drawing from it until it shut off I found I was getting less than half the capacity. Now the red battery light comes on at the proper time, when the battery is nearly empty, and I'm getting the full capacity of the battery. Thanks!
The day I got the EB70 I fully charged it and then ran it to 0 using a watt meter to see how much I could draw. It worked out to 640~ watts the first time. I didn't sit and watch the meter but I believe it was right as well. I wonder if maybe they cycled it in the factory? I got the very first shipment of them from China I wonder if they did some extra testing on those.
@@outdoormatters3219 You did it right,,, probably why I had a problem and you didn't. I'm finding it to be a nice unit for van camping. I have a small hotplate, oven and microwave. I have solar panels, so I can cook for free. As long as the sun shines anyway. Cheers!
Brian Smith - Yup ! ! The same applies for units giving 'precise' percentage readouts . . . the percentages are seldom accurate unless you run it to one of the extremes. My Bluetti AC200P likes to go from 80% to 100% suddenly while slow charging at 100 watts input. I try not to leave it at 100% for any period of time to protect the battery's longevity.
I was wondering how the unit is performing a year later. I bought this but after seeing negative long term reviews I am thinking of returning it when it arrives.
I got mine and a 5 cubic ft manual defrost chest freezer and it runs it. Although the freezer is rated at using 50 watts (it runs at around 80 watts) my 300 watt power stations show an error when the compressor kicks in. After hurricanes I plan to charge those while it runs the freezer and dump their batteries into it in the evening using its AC charger to keep it going at night. I haven`t yet tested how long it will run a freezer already frozen and over half full but it did well on the empty one. After hurricanes getting gas for generators isn`t easy and I don`t want to depend on one to save my food and have cold water to drink. The little 20-30 watt folding solar panels with USB outputs will directly power a USB fan during the day, even when it`s cloudy, but it`s best to get the highest wattage folding panel with USB outputs as you can because these can charge little power banks on cloudy days when you need to power USB fans and lights at night or keep a phone charged. I made a video of a 30 watt folding panel powering a USB fan while it`s raining to show the possibilities with solar. These aren`t 100% waterproof though and you have to be careful not to get the USB ports wet. I also made a video proving that you can cook with the entry level small power stations and left a link to the rice cooker I used in the video description.
We run a few fans off an AC50S with a normal solar panel if the power goes out and we need some air movement. I hate using the solar panels with USB ports because I always worry about the morning dew destroying them. Thanks for watching!
@@outdoormatters3219 Now my Bluetti capacity has dropped to aprox half. I was missing about 360 watt hours from its capacity according to the math. I bought a watt meter and my 3.1 cubic ft freezer has been running 13 hours and has used 220 watt hours but the Bluetti is showing 20% remaining. The company asked me to run the test and I took a picture when it first hit 20% showing only 200 watt hours were used and they`re sending a new one and letting me keep this one. Hopefully it`s a shunt issue and the thing DOES actually have at least 400 watt hours remaining capacity. Gonna let it run until it dies completely to find out.
@@outdoormatters3219 I ran it until it died. Unfortunately when that happened the watt meter reset. The last actual reading I saw was 480 watt hours used but I`m a bit exhausted from running multiple tests and simply don`t remember how much time had passed since i saw that number. But it ran my 3.1 cubic ft refrigerator for 21 hours and halfway through the test I turned it on high to speed things up. But like you said thank God for warranties and thank God they did such a nice thing for me. I`m disabled and on a very low income, under 800 per month, and the only way I could buy my prepping stuff was with the stimulus checks. I have the 600 dollar one left to pay a man to clear off the lot I`ll be moving my travel trailer onto in a few months. I plan to return the favor by promoting their power station because it does a great job powering smaller AC refrigerators and freezers like the ones I have which is extremely important where I live because of hurricanes. I`ve lost count of the hurricane power outages we`ve had since Katrina. We took two direct hits last year. That`s why I knew I had to use my checks for electricity insurance in the form of solar power. Even using just one 100 watt solar panel and pass through charging I can keep a fridge or freezer going throughout the day and it will remain fully charged. My Mighty Max 100 watt poly panels, the cheapest on Amazon, produce 98 to 102 watts under good conditions and my freezer and fridge don`t use many watts per hour. I have three of the 100 watt panels and 30, 50, and 60 watt folding panels with 18 volt outputs too and plenty of parallel connectors to increase total wattage on hazy or cloudy days.
I know at least my instant pot is too high draw for the EB70. Even if you're able to get it to work you'll completely drain the battery. I'd recommend something like the SP200P for that. Are you aware of a lower draw model that maybe I just don't know about?

What if you use the DC output and putting up converter on it for charging a ebike battery is that any different than plugging the battery in with the 110? I guess I'm about to find out because I'm getting the eb55 with the 200w for my e-bike and I can't wait and it's going to be 50 degrees where I live Friday been a brutal Winter by Buffalo New York. The bad thing is if it's below 32 it says it's not going to charge and it's not good. That's not much for bad things I've never heard anybody say it sucks I hope I pick the right one but I think I did it has the same 700 whatever that is on this
Most home refrigerators use quite a bit of power. This device would not be ideal. I use it with my DC fridge but that is a device designed to be efficient. Take a look at the AC200P
Its an Iceco VL60 dual zone fridge/freezer. I do recommend it. It is very efficient and we love having the freezer side of it. I would recommend seriously considering if you want the freezer side though as if you skip it and just do a fridge you will have a lot more space. It was a good trade for us though. Only briefly. The blower on our bouncy castle goes higher than that for a second.

That depends on the fridge. My 12v fridge/freezer would run for a few days but it is very high efficiency.
