This is perfect for me, I have 400w of solar on my Overlander for my main solar setup & now I can have this for a backup while charging it off my main RV solar system, how ironic that the peak input allowed would be 400w.
The EB55 hits a sweet spot in the portable rechargeable lithium battery power station market. It would have been nice to these new refinements making their way to the EB70.
I know that the lights have improved on the eb70 at least. I do wonder if they will change the eb70 to the eb80 or 90 to make the difference more profound between them. They are very close as is.
Need some expert advice please!! :) I am a newbie with solar and these portable power stations. We are doing a two month long camping road trip using a van where will be basically living it without ever using any kind of shore power. We live in Idaho and will be traveling into backcounty of BC Canada on this trip. I bought a 12volt portable fridge off Amazon ( VEVOR 12 Volt Refrigerator, 53 Qt Dual Zone Car Fridge) and a ACOPOWER 100 Watt 12V Black Monocrystalline Solar Panel. I only have room on the roof for a 100watt solar panal because I have two Roof Boxes to haul extra sports gear. I can't decide betwoon the EB 55 or the EB 70. We drive a lot.... prob some each day doing adventures and sight seeing. I can see where the EB 55 would work with our solar panal and using and inverter plugged into our van for some AC charging. II was thinking this route in case the 100 watt solar can't keep up with the fridge. But I can also see where having the larger battery on the EB 70 would last longer. We don't plan on using the battery for anything elseother than the fridge as we have a genarator (Honda EU 2000) for our cooking ect. My wife rides an ebike so we always bring the generator to charge it. . I would like to not run it any more than possibel as is is loud and vibrates the van but worth it so she can do our biking adventures :) I know I gave a lot of information thank you for reading this. Any help would really be helpful. This newbie would really appreciate any ideas/input. Thank You VERY Much!!
Now that the eb70s is out which would give better bang for the buck that or the eb55. On a different review testing capacity it was suggested that the eb70s in actuality only had the watt hours of the eb55. Any one test the eb70s to determine it’s true capacity. I’d love to know since I am having difficulty deciding between those two units and the eco flow river pro which also doesn’t have a very good wh capacity rating.
Question...my wife needs to work remotely running a laptop and two monitors. Would the EB55 or EB70, either with solar panels for charging, how long would you estimate she could work on her laptop?
That is such a hard question. Monitors are 20-70 watts per hour each a computer is 20-100 or so. If you have good solar you will have 160 in so it really depends. Assuming you have good sun either one will last a full work day most likely. I’d go with the 70 for a little extra room to breath.
In your opinion is the eb55 paired with solar sufficient to run my iceco VL 45pro? That is my main purpose for this power station. Or would I have to go bigger?
*The solar **Generater.Systems** E300 is a great product . It does everything well. Great job, Jackery.*
Finally someone who provides info on the solar connectors supplied with the unit. Thanks for the useful review covering relevant info.
Just gifted myself with this last week. 😌
Thank you for the straight forward no nonsense review.
Great video. I just got mine today, sadly only with a 100w solar panel. I will invest in a 200w panel in the future.
Thanks!

How long would it take a bluetti solar panel to charge the eb55 at 160 watts ?? Say from 25% to 75%?? Approximately

@@outdoormatters3219 cool thanks for your insight
@@outdoormatters3219 agreed, go the EB70

Can the Bluetti EB55 be charged while charging other devices at the same time?
Is it normal for it to get very hot on top?
Is this good for a small heater?
For about an hours use sure. Heaters are the most inefficient thing you can use.
Use electric blanket or heating pad.
How long can it power your fridge?
One question... Are you able to simultaneously charge this (via A/C or Solar) and discharge (use) at the same time?
yes you can .....
Yeah but why would you
@@ThouArtOfWar0724 you would do this if you were running a fridge 24/7
Can I hook a fuse box up to the dc output and run my fridge and maxxair out of the fuse box?
No
Can the Bluetti app connect to the EB55?
Are these as good as a jackery
Much better than jackery
