      Wanting to order the EB70S, I already
      own the Bestek 300W Inverter I tried it with my laptop while driving it never blew the fuse...but my suv manual says 180w cigarette lighter socket.
      Will the Bluetti surely blow my fuse?

      I know this is an older video but have you attempted to put 25V+ into the AC-Adapter input? I would very much like to do DC solar input and DC battery input simultaneously as I keep this in my Jeep with a solar panel and currently use a 300W inverter. I'd like to eliminate that inverter.

    Followed your suggestion and got the step up. The Bluetti charges pretty fast in my car with that. Around 188 watts. Without the step up, it's around 85 watts. Thanks for the info.

    So let's make this easy, I watch the previous video on the 12 to 24 volt converter.Bought it from Amazon. Hard wired it to my H2. Ran wires to the back and put a 24v rated cigarette plug there. Now I can hook it up to my EB70 using the supplied cable! Charges at 183 watts max!!!

    Could you do normal solar 12v and do solar with the step up 12v to 24v plugged into the 8mm side or would that damage it? I'm really curious to know. Great content and videos so much in depth knowledge compared to other channels

    I went ahead and ordered a cheap 1000 watt gas generator in case there`s ever a power outage and I need to charge my two EB70s and my smaller power stations on cloudy days to keep my small freezer and fridge going. I also ordered one of the tiny Frigidare air conditioners with manual controls like HOBOTECH used with a similar gas generator. They use around 400 watts so maybe I can get it to run on solar by next Summer.
    I`ll be moving into a large camper trailer soon and all this stuff will make things a lot less complicated if another hurricane or Winter storm hits. We have frequent power outages here even without the storms.
    I`ve bought every cable, connector, adapter, meter, tester, and accessory possible and so far I have three 100 watt glass panels and one 190 watt plus nine folding solar panels between 10 and 100 watts to charge little power banks for fans and lights and for portability with my 300 watt power stations. It`s nice to not have to worry about electricity or losing all my food.

      I have the slightly larger, heavier, Honda EU2200i for the same purposes. However, I have the Engel 45QT (1.3 cu ft) Marine FREEZER instead of a small Frig. Be sure to use Ethanol FREE gas for your generator & drain the carb float bowl after each use. Gas sitting in the float bowl will quickly gum up.

      @@baneverything5580 Granted, Ethanol Free gas is definitely hard to find in small rural areas. It's hard to find in parts of some large cities. Maverik gas stations have tanks/pumps & sell Ethanol Free gas along with diesel fuel & 3 grades of ethanol gas. Maverik gas stations is a chain of gas stations out here in the western part of U.S.A.

    Thanks for putting this together. I discovered an unexpected behavior with my EB55 right charging input labeled 25-28V/10A. I figured you might be curious about this, too. Naturally, this input works just fine when I use the included 200W AC/DC adapter. However, when I try to use another power supply, a Victron Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Charger, it will not charge. I am an electrical engineer, so naturally I made sure the polarity is correct with a multimeter (positive tip) prior to connecting. Also, the Victron has adjustable output voltage, so I tried everything from 25 to 28 volts, and I confirmed the output with a multimeter prior to connecting to the EB55. In addition, I also have Bluetti AC50S. As you know it has a similar 8mm input on the back that asks for 14-40V. When I plug my Victron into it, it charges just fine! I’m confused! Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

      @@Roland-Lewis Easiest way around that issue would be to have an inverter installed that can handle a 200-300 watt load. Then you could run the AC wall charger off the inverter AND the DC inverter both at the same time while the engine is running. Wire the inverter directly from the battery using like 6awg wire and it should be big enough to handle both the inverter and the DC charging at the same time. That direct wire connection to the battery would be useful for other applications in the future.
      I haven't worked with that Victron unit so not sure exactly why it's not working. The only thing that came to my mind could be that the victron charger must need some sort of feedback voltage to start putting out power? Similar to a laptop power supply, it wont just put out power but needs to verify something before it starts working.

      @@Jasonoid Thanks for your prompt response. I get what you're saying that the 300W inverter is an option, but that is the function of the Orion. And I can't get myself to go DC to AC, just to go back to DC again. Yeah, it's so weird--the Orion shows voltage with just a multimeter connected, and as mentioned, it will charge the AC50S just fine. AND I DIDN'T MENTION THIS YET--the AC50S power supply will charge the EB55 just fine! Well, if you happen to have a DC power supply laying around that can output 25-28V, maybe you'll be curious to see if it will charge your EB55 from the 8mm input.

      @@Roland-Lewis I was able to test charging my EB55 via the 8mm jack, it works fine with this adjustable power supply between 25 volts and 28 volts:

    Great video and tips! I have the eb55 and ac50s and noticed that the ac50s came with an mc4 to 8mm cable that allows you to hook up solar to the ac input on the eb55. This means you can charge the eb55 dual solar up to 400watts in addition to dual ac if you get a second ac charger. It's too bad Bluetti doesn't sell all their cables as standalone acessories

      Those are both great batteries! The AC input on the EB55 actually has a tighter range of voltage and will only accept 25-28 volts so it probably wouldn't work well with solar since panels usually put out 18-20v. I can't remember if I tested it or not.

      @@Jasonoid I tested the ac input with sp200 panel and it pulled the same amount of solar charge as the dc/PV input...150-170 watts late afternoon. I'll have to test it again to make sure that want a fluke

      Except for the EB55 has a max charge rate of 400w. Your comment seems like youre saying 400w (solar (dual solar)) + 400w (AC (dual ac adapters)) will go into the EB55 (making it 800w charging input) and thats not true. It caps out at 400w. So you could put 1000w of solar or 1000w of AC and youll still only put 400w in. Bluetti does sell cable adapters for about $10 on their website.

      The max input for this power station is 400 watts and it will only charge that fast with dual ac chargers plugged in. With a solar panel and ac adapter dual charging its about 350 watts. You cant have dual solar inputs because one of the ports only accepts 25v - 28v input, too high for solar. I made a video on that topic earlier last month, check it out on my channel.

    2. how can you get the most out of 3 Bluetti SP120 solar pannels?
    the story: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    I have an EB55 and one SP120W solar panel, but I would like to add some solar charging power.
    I want to have about 100W charge on cloudy days and also to charge at the max rated input when sunny (28V * 8A = 224W).
    I'm thinking to buy another 2 solar panels, so to have 3 Bluetti SP120 (that in medium-good conditions can provide 75W/panel) that I can connect either:
    - in series (so ~50-60V and =8amps
    - in parallel (so ~16-20V and >14 amps - actual numbers depending on the clouds) and then use a converter to step the voltage up to 28V and >=8amps
    so here are my 3 questions:
    1. can a Bluetti EB55 actually charge at 224W on solar port alone (28V*8A)? or is limited to 200W? I don't have a variable power supply to test this.
    2. do you have a better (maybe cheaper) solution to achieve this? The converters I found are priced at about USD 200.

    I ordered an EB70, if I want to use this converter in order to lower the recharging time on the EB70 do I wire the converter directly to the 12 truck battery? I think I'm going to build a small cabinet in the bed of the truck to place the EB70 in and I would mount this converter to the cabinet somewhere so I will always have it there for recharging. Does the converter work if connected to solar panel instead of the truck battery? Like if I had a switch to change from battery to solar or just had a splitter connection in the wires or does it always need to be from the truck battery? Once again, great video with VERY helpful information!!!

    I've connected the Bestek 300W inverter directly to battery so I'm NOT using any vehicle wiring to provide power to an EB70 to recharge its battery when I'm driving down the road.

      I'd only charge fast when needed. When using the DC to DC Charging method it won't harm the battery, it's basically the same thing as using the wall charger.

    I have the EB70 and plan on making a direct connection to my starter battery. Which is better to use, the inverter or the step up converter? I don't think you showed the charging wattage result using the inverter on the EB70? Are both methods approximately 190ish watts? I enjoy and appreciate all your videos, Jason ....thanks.

      The inverter would be useful for other applications so ide suggest that. The DC to DC converter can only be used to charge the power station.

      That's the Bluetti EB55. It's around 537wh so to charge it up at 200watts takes around 2.5 hours.

    Once again, well done. In addition to mounting it somewhere with a good air flow, I definitely agree that a 12v to 24v converter should have it's own dedicated wiring directly to the vehicle's battery. - In other words, do not depend on the vehicle's factory wiring to its OEM cigarette lighter port. -

      Thanks for commenting Andrew! Pulling 16 amps is a lot of power. Most vehicle wiring wouldn't handle it so glad they have fuses built in. It works well off my 8 awg wire from my battery.

      sure! car outlets are generally fused with max. 10 amps anyway .. which is already too much for this weak connection - runs hot. makes no sense to try pulling 17 amps - no way.

      @@RyLReaSoN In lieu of the above mentioned converter - there is an available Yeti Goal Zero Regulated Lithium Car Charger cable that ups the charging voltage a bit to your battery pack. When Goal Zero cable is set to "Low" the Bluetti will show about an 85 watt input.

      Since there's only one charging port for DC input you'd have to swap the wiring manually OR install your own inline switch that takes power from two sources and allows you to go back and forth. Something like this would work for that: amzn.to/480K9bP

    Interesting. I may have to get one of those 12V-24V converters. Quick question though; is it a simple voltage doubler, or is the output regulated to 24V? I ask this question because if your "12V" source is actually as high as 14V, if you got 28V, you might exceed an input only rated up to 25V.

      It puts out a regulated 24volts. The highest voltage I saw was 24.5 volts so all within safe tolerances for the EBseries :)

    Awesome video. My car has a 100W AC220V plug in the back. From your video it would seem that would run the charger and hence charge the battery whilst driving. I intend on Plugging the charger into the 100W inverter, then plug my portable fridge into the EB55. Would this work? I assume it would take 5+ hrs to charge like this whilst driving?

    Nice video. Have you tested the Bestek 300watt? I've seen a few videos showing it isn't actually pure sine wave so wondering?

      They offer two models, the one in the video has been tested with an oscilloscope and is a pure sine wave and offers good RMS voltage. Great question!

    I am a new subscriber. Excellent video...I am consideing a Bluetti. I do not know what size I would need. I presently want to put my dual zone fridge/freezer that says rated power 60 watts. If I used it without solar how many hours would it run on the EB55 and the EB70S ? I think the EBG3A would be too small ( i think). There is an AC70, but I do not know what it is. Thank you

      I usually recommend a power station with at least 500wh of capacity in the battery to run a DC fridge. Both the EB55 AND EB70s are a bit dated right now so id recommend the newer models with many better features. The AC70 should be a good choice, I haven't tested that one yet though.

      Guess what!? I'm just editing that Bibene tear down video right now, I was able to charge it up over 200 watts and it has the potential to charge at 307 watts max if you wanted. Video should be out soon on the channel. I gotta space these videos out a bit right? Too much to fast people won't watch it all :) :) :) So excited!

    Once again another great video. Thanks! I have a dilemma. My truck bed has a 400watt 115v AC running off a cheap inverter that is not compatible for charging my Bluetti. I just need to keep my Bluetti topped off while driving and powering my iceco vl45. Is it possible to drop the dirty 115v power down to 12v for a trickle charge into my Bluetti? Or would it be best to just run dedicated 12v to my truck bed.

      I'd recommend running a dedicated cable from your truck battery to charge it. You could even use a DC to DC converter to get even faster charging like in this video:

    Can I use a Renogy "DCC50S 12V 50A DC-DC On-Board Battery Charger with MPPT" to charge an EB70s using the alternator and/or solar panel? Are there problems in that it would go through 2 MPPTs, one in the renogy B2B and one in the Bluetti EB70s? What kind of wiring hookup would you recommend? excellent video!

      The EB70 has its own built in charging system so if you plugged in another charger it wouldn't work well. The fastest DC to DC Charging option is to use 24v

Do you think it would charge at 12-13+Volts (renogy specs) @ 8Amps (bluetti limitation), or do you think the fact that there are 2 charge controllers in series have problems resulting in further charging diminishment/ Issues? do you think either piece of equipment would be damaged by setting the Bluetti up to charge through the Renogy?

      @@pmoasis2825 I just don't think the Bluetti charge controller will know what to do with the Renogy voltage. If you plug your Bluetti into your car 12v socket or direct battery connection it will charge at 110 watts. No need for the DC to DC charger in between. You can think of it already having a DC to DC charger inside already.

    Does the 12v to 24v 10A converter create alot of heat with extended charge times? I'm questioning because the 7.6A it pulls while charging is pretty close to the 10A limit. Wonder if it would be better/more reliable to get a similar 20A unit. I want reliability, but I'm guessing the power draw on the larger unit would be more.

      If you are planning to use it all the time, I'd recommend going to a larger 20amp model, that way it will dissipate heat better.

    I wish the EB70 had the same charging inputs as the EB50. It’s nice to have the option to simultaneously change using a DC/solar and the A/C adapter. Did I miss something, the EB70 can only charge from a single at a time?

    Great video - do you know what type of losses there are from using a 12V to 24V converter? I’m looking to use an AC200P as a back up battery to my EB70S by charging it with the DC output from the AC200P and this would speed up the process!

      There is some heat build on the device so you are losing power in the process, hard to tell an actual number. So you need to chose between a slower charge rate thats probably more efficient or a faster charge rate.

    Great video! Can I plug an EB 70 into the rear AC output on my 4runner, and just charge while driving? With the fridge plugged in!

      That should work just fine. It will keep the EB70 topped off until you turn off your engine, then your fridge will run off the EB70 capacity.

      I don't have a specific video, but since it pulls over 10 amps it will blow a 12v cig port fuse, you'd want to hardwire it in directly to your starter battery.

    I would be interesting to see how the 12/24 unit for charging can be connected and used on various Victron output systems.... solar. dc to dc... I'll be checkin on such.. I did hear that slower charging rates (at least for lithium ION) will help in battery longevity ... but PO4? Maybe rate has near no effect.

      Charging both types of Lithium batteries slower will be better for long term health, I don't think it affects it that much though. I don't have any Victron equipment so I wouldn't be able to test that out.

    Would it be an acceptable idea for use in a car camping situation to use a parallel XT60 cable to allow input through the MPPT port from the vehicle's 12 volt, as well as a solar panel mounted to the roof to continue charging while the vehicle is not running and stationary?
    I thought I might give this a try:
    "FLY RC 2pcs XT60 Parallel Battery Connector Cable Extension Y Splitter" (can't post link)
    The main reason is to avoid having to unplug the vehicle input through the XT60 port and plug in the solar panel input every time I stop driving. Partly for convenience, but I'm hoping I might also get a boost in amperage, but not over the allowable range.

      The charging port can't accept two different input voltages at the same time. You'd have to chose one or the other to charge the power station. If you connected both power sources at the same time to the Mppt, the solar panel would probably end up back feeding and charging your car battery directly to 18v and damaging it.

      New power stations with internal charging prefer pure sine wave inverters. Since these little guys have external chargers they might work off a modified sine wave. It might charge okay, you just gotta test it.

    Hi Jason. I just purchased a Bluetti EB70s and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Question for you. I have a 2021 GMC canyon and I want to use the 12V cigarette lighter to charge the EB70s while traveling. I plan to use the EB70s to power a small fridge and other devices while i'm out camping. Could I use a 12v inverter between the cigarette lighter and the EB70s to help with rapid charging? Please let me know your thoughts

      Most 12v sockets are rated at 120-180 watts max. If your 12v socket in your truck is rated for 250 watts max, it's safe to run an inverter and the 200 watt wall charger. If not, it will blow a fuse and lose power. That's why you'll most likely need a direct connection to your starter battery, it pulls lots of power.

      I've tried that, the converter doesn't like the voltage fluctuations. It didn't work very consistently. I'm sure if I used a better brand of converter it might actually work!

    Can I charged bluetti in solar panel while I am using it as I noticed I have 200 watts bluetti solar panel and I am using 100 watts of power my solar panel generate 150 watts is this mean the 100 watts will be use and the remaining 50 watts will charge my EB70?

    After cutting the cigarette lighter plug off the specific Bestek inverter model in the video, and hard wiring it to my minivan battery 15 feet away behind the front seats using 8 gauge pure copper wire, in order to fast charge my Bluetti EB70 while driving:
    1. how would you connect the 8 gauge wire to the inverter, and
    2. what amp power breaker would you use on the 8 gauge wire near the minivan battery?

      1. You can use a crimp connection with heat shrink, you can also solder it and heat shrink the connection. You could also use ring terminals with a bolt connecting them together.
      2. 8AWG wire is rated for 40amps, so a 40 to 45 amp fuse should be fine.

    I noticed the DC to DC converter has 16awg cable attached. No issues wiring from 12awg from the battery and dropping down to this 16awg? I didn't notice til I got the converter in the mail and I just ordered the 12awg wiring and fuse holder. I don't plan to use this outlet with anything else, so I suppose the 8A should still be fine.
    Also noticed the converter you linked wasn't the DayGreen you had. Haha.

      There are many "brands" that are basically the same model on Amazon. It changes frequently so I had to update the link to a product that was in stock. The 16awg wires are such a 'short run' it shouldn't be an issue with voltage drop. I also noticed the same thing so good eye. When testing the charging the wires never got hot. I did notice they were a little warm but I think that's fine. Give her a good test to make sure it all works as expected. If you get an issue toss it back to amazon within the return window. You shouldn't have a problem though :)

    Does the EB70's MPPT controller safely deal with being over currented(10 amps)?
    I imagine so but I have to ask. I just bought a PS72 and I'm trying figure out which
    solar panel(s) to charge it with. The low 8A limit is hard to match up.

      You only have to worry about high voltage, the amperage is limited.

      @@Jasonoid I’m going to give it a try. I have the cascadia 4x4 system with a solar panel attached to a charge controller which trickle charges the starter battery and I has some 12v wires coming out of the charge controller that goes to a 12v socket in the bed that will charge the power bank. It has constant power with low voltage protection. How much power is coming to that socket varies if the truck is running or how much solar I’m getting so hopefully the boost converter won’t have any issues with that.

    I’ve got an EB70S on order. Why do you think they released this, as it appears to only boost the ac output from 700-800 watts vs the EB70. Seems like a very minimal “upgrade”. What’s your take on this?

      The normal EB70 seems to do 800watts just fine. I think it's a marketing thing. Maybe it has a software upgrade but I don't think anything is different in the hardware. It will be a great power station as well.

      You can see how to make Anderson Power Pole connections here in another video and the tools needed are in the video description:

      Once you get the tools/connections for APP, you run 12awg wire or larger directly from your battery into your vehicle cabin, then connect the 12v to 24v booster and you can get 24volts for your power station.

      @@Jasonoid sorry, newbee in all of this. if you run the 12 awg from the battery into the vehicle compartment to use the 12 to 24 converter to charge a EB 55 for example, it may take several hours to fully charge it. It would seem you’d drain the car battery for that amount of time and i wouldn’t want to run the vehicle at idle for a couple hours if I’m camped. Whats the best way to do it?

      12awg wire would be good. Make sure to put a fuse on the positive wire close to the battery. You could charge the EB55 for maybe an hour without running the engine. After that amount of time you'd want to run the engine to keep the battery from dying. This mod would work really well to keep the power station full while driving on a road trip /running a 12v fridge.

    .. quite clear with the step-up unit. but still wonder, if it must be true sinewave inverter (what i think it´s supposed to be). the reason is for emergency cases, when power station runs low, no sun available and severe need of power .. means charging from the car without running it for hours. modified sine inverter with let´s say 700/1000 watts (for ecoflow 600W charging) is much cheaper - that´s why.
    looks like nobody dares to try and eventually ruin their power supplies ;-)
    ps: looks like they made it a bit better with the 2 inputs on 55, but still have the limit on the mppt-input; can´t believe it, not fitting that even to their own panel.

    New Subscriber needing some advice Please! I just ordered a Vevor 12V, 53qt dual zone car fridge and a Acopower 100W 12V monocrystalline solar panel that will installed on top of our Suburban. That’s all the room on top cause of the roof cargo boxes. Using Bluetti EB55. Will this be enough solar for it keep up running that fridge?(nothing else). should I add a narrow flexible solar panel (say 50watt) on one my cargo boxes? Problem is I hear nothing but bad about those. Thank for any insight or ideas!

      Hey Stilllearning, it depends on the weather. A 100 watt panel is plenty enough if you have lots of sun. The EB55 should give you a good amount of runtime as well. Most of the time you just need to run your setup and see how it all plays together.

    Hello, thanks for the video! Can you help me with the issue? I purchased an Anker 757 portable station and it does not want to be charged by a Power Drive 3000(watt) inverter. Inside Anker, the relay clicks when plugged in, but it doesn't charge. Although the fridge and microwave are working. (It all happens in a semi truck). Why? I'm not an electrician and don't really understand this.

      I'm not 100% sure, but I can tell you that the AC power supply appears to have an intelligent charging circuit, so the light goes red when it's charging, then green when it's done. I didn't see anything in the manual or online specifically saying green means it's trickle charging, but I might test it out and let you know if it switches back to actively charging while it's plugged in if the battery is drained slightly.

    I’m curious, I have a Toyota Tacoma. Can’t I just plug in the AC outlet to the back of the truck and power my EB 700 that way?
    I believe while I’m driving it has around 450 Watts.
    That way I can bypass using the 12 V socket and blowing any fuses. Thanks

      You're lucky to have the built in inverter, that's awesome! Yes, while driving you can charge up the EB70 with the stock 200 watt charger and keep it topped off while running your fridge or other accessories!

      Thanks. I have a Kimbo Camper I’m going to try and connect it to the shore power line and hook it up to the EB 700S. Figuring this is the best way, so it won’t cost me a fortune to run it from the battery or alternator.
      I’ll just run a cord from the inverter to the shore power. I was going to run it through the 12 V socket on the truck until I saw your video and realized I don’t want to blow a fuse or cause a fire! 🖖

      @@Jasonoid I just bought the EB70 direct from Bluetti and when charging from zero to full it's only taking 1.5 hours on AC and then showing full. This sounds great BUT it is depleating fast and seems like it has 300wh capacity (not even 600wh). I think there's a fault so I might have to get a replacement. Wondering if you had any tips or ideas what could be happening. Thanks 😊

      The EB70 will only take one charging source at the same time. The two different charging voltages will not work well together if you tried to connect them.

      Find the highest voltage 12v solar panel. There are some great 200 watt glass rigid panel options with higher voltages. Rich solar, BougeRV. No one makes a 12v panel with 28 volts so you'll never see the full 200 watt input on this power station with solar.

    I have a eb70s and I noticed I am getting only 36w when I connect the input to the cigarette lighter. I have ordered a 24v ac to dc power adapter with a cigarette light socket that can deliver 8A which is 192W! which matches with what the issued power adapter can do. My Honda has a 110v inverter output. I am going to try. Any one else tried. I'll also compare that with the issued power adapter. Reason I do not like the issued one is because of the fan.

      Yes, running your charger off an inverter will work. However you'll want to make sure your wires are the correct thickness to handle the power. You mentioned your truck is 24 volts? Is it a semi truck?

      On the EB55? You can only charge it from the charger on the 8mm connector and use the other XT60 port for your 24v source.

    Have you tried using the 8mm barrel connector car charger from the eb70 in the eb55? Would be nice to see if you can charge with car battery/ alternator along with solar in the XT connector get 190w from the 24v converter into the 8mm barrel plug and 200 w solar into the XT...... 390w all while driving???

      The EB55 8mm port will only take the wall charger input voltage so you'd have to have an inverter running in your car for the wall charger and then run the DC to DC step up converter to get 400watts. It's possible but youd probably have to run some large gauge wires direct from your vehicle starter battery to the inverter and DC connection for the step converter. Hope that makes sense!

      I see now the plug says 25v-28v so probably SOL... I did find a 12v to 28v step up DC- DC but probably not worth it. Might just have to settle for 24v 190w

      @@Jasonoid can confirm I couldn't get the the 8mm barrel connector to work. I got a 28v 8amp step up converter and got 198 in the xt60 connector but the barrel connector didn't work. I see in other comments you were able to get it to work if you matched the chargers output 25v8a but I'm fine with 190. It lasted a 3 day camping trip in Utah easily with a fridge so I'm good with that.

    I'm going to try the 12v upconvert but was wondering... If I have my solar connected to the MXT port can I still charge from 12>24v DC through a 8mm on the AC charging port? I am assuming yes, otherwise how could you get close to 400wats of charging. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks.

      No, the Bibene power station is just limited to 100 watts by software so whatever power levels of voltage come into the power station it will just limit it to 100 watts.
      The EB series are different because they allow 200 watts but there's that 8 amp limit so you have to use some trickery to get the full power. Most solar panels will get their power from lower voltage and higher amps (18 volts and 12 amps). So the higher the voltage you have on a solar panel, the better with the EB series.

      @@shaizahavi I'd give it a test first to see how well the 100 watts works for you, if you need more charging then do the mod. Not everyone will need faster charging.

    I find it a little disappointing that the EB55 has more flexibility on DC inputs than the EB70. I'd expect the bigger model to be more inclusive.

    I have a question 🤔 is it possible to use a dc to dc adjustuble converter connected to a solar panel maybe over panel a bunch will it work to charge the eb70 or eb55 since you can only get 160w even if you over panel maybe I can get the full 200w out of the dc to dc converter 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

      I tried the DC to DC converter with my solar panels and it didn't like the higher voltage of the solar and wouldn't output 24 volts. I might try another method in the future but it would be around $70 so trying to debate if it's worth it or not... Haha

      @@Jasonoid I tried with the same boost converter u have and I find out those only output 24v when at 13.5v or lower down to 9.5 but if u try to input more than 14v it doesn't work idk why but I was thinking maybe if I try something like the adjustable ones those can handle the 20v of the panel and turn it into 24v I ordered one just to try if it works I let u know but I don't have much hope 😆

      @@JonathanRamse i haven't find a dc to dc boost converter that can handle the voltage from the solar panels and put out the full power from the boost converter but honestly from many many try I don't think it's possible at the moment maybe in a future with the right panels and the right boost converter

      @@alexcandelaria590 thanks for the quick reply. Do you think a 24v PWM might work? The issue is that you can't series connect the panels to the EB55/70 directly, but if you series connect your panels to the 24v PWM and then connect that to the battery, you've upped the voltage while maintaining the amps below the 8amp limit. I'm new to this so I'm just trying to find a work-around that wouldn't damage anything.

      No, the DC to DC charger does not like the voltage over 13.5 volts (solar panels put out around 18volts) and it won't convert it up. I tried that out. Still looking for other options to boost the solar voltage.

      That may work, it depends how the charge controller will react to the DC converter pulling power. I will write down that option and I'll see if I can test it in a future video

      @@Jasonoid just to make sure I understand, your videos regularly refer to solar panels as "12 volt" even though most are truly 18 volt; you've even referred to the Bluetti SP200 panel as a 12v in your other EB70 and EB55 reviews. On notion of 18v, it makes sense that the 12 to 24v dc to dc converter wouldn't work.
      With that said, why do you keep referring to solar panels as 12v and 24v? Just asking for my own understanding...

    Users of the EB55 have reported that an error message may appear when using the AC output. The message is "SHORT" in red. Does anyone know how to reset such an error message?

      To reset it, you turn off the AC output and then turn it back on. That error is usually caused from trying to pull an inductive load that requires too much amperage.

    Unfortunately, I've already returned two of the eb55's. They are absolutely junk. Had high hopes but they turned out to be useless. They work until you use them close to capacity and then the screen shuts off. They will no longer charge, turn on or do anything else.

      I'm curious how the battery would ever get that low. Once the AC or DC output shutoff from low voltage did you turn back on the output and keep using it?

    Wow.. its incredible that i cant do that, charging solar and 220 v at same time with my Bluetti Eb70.. With more storage and being more expensive.. What a shit!! Is not there a way to trick to solve this? I supopouse no.. All we have the EB70 must charge at 200 W and spend 4 hours.....

      The EB55 was a newer product and they upgraded some features over the EB70. I'd love if it could dual charge!

      By the way.. I discovered a new posibility.. charge my car battery a bit from my Bluetti in case i got my battery car empty accidentally (i had this in the middle of ski station one day and is not nice).
      See this conector dc 5,5 2,1 to battery aligators.. Its not looking nice for bluetti dc 5521 output? I think this should work, no? This would put 120 W in the car battery in one hour directly from bluetti (no?) and would save the situation.
      By the way, an easy and not too expensive to charge bluetti at 200 W inside the car at 200 W/h instead 100 from cigarretes? I suppouse a cheap 300 W inversor maybe.. Not sinoidal (which are expensives). But i dont know if can be bad for the bluetti or can damage it..

    So why bother trying to charge those Bluetti's faster? Just get an Ecoflow River Pro or Max which fully charges under two hours with just a plug and play charger.

      There's benefits to both models. Doesn't the ECOflow river only charge fast via the AC charger? So you'd still need a generator or high power inverter on the go (this video is about charging on the road).
      The bluetti offers Lifepo4 chemistry which has a much longer life and no fire risk. Basically there are good things about each battery, you just gotta chose what works best for you.

Each has his own strong and weak points, but for the Ecoflow's I don't need to buy other stuff just to make it charge faster or modify my vehicle just for that purpose, which again costs money. Charging the River on the road only needs at least 3 1/2 hours on the car charger, which comes directly out of the box (Warranty intact). Which in turn translates into more usable time.

      Swapping a faster charge cycle for more possible dangers, and a lifetime of 1/3 of the bluetti... Eco flow river Life cycle 800 cycles... Bluetti eb70 life cycle 2500 cycles... Also the eco flow uses semi dangerous Lipo batteries which can go on fire and explode.. Bluetti uses lifepo4 which do not present a danger to go on fire or explode. There's many pros and cons across the board but I value a 3x higher lifetime and safety over a faster charge cycle.

    Question in my car could I hook up the e55 to my cigarette lighter port and also use the ac Brick and plug that into my 150w built in inverter? So I am essentially getting both dc and ac power at the same time?

      Yes that will work! As long as your inverter supports 200 watts, the AC charger will try to pull 200 watts and might blow the fuse for a small 150 watt inverter. I answered your previous question last night 👍

      I tried the 200 watt charger in my 2018 chevy express 110v outlet rated at 150 watts. Shut off and wouldn’t drive the charger. I’ll have to use the 300 watt Bestek direct to the battery to power the 200 watt brick
