Bluetti SP120 Solar Panel Review: A Premium Portable Panel for Small to Mid Size Solar Generators
Просмотров 4,1 тыс.3 года назад
A short while back we compared all the leading portable solar panels. We found a lot of good panels held back by flimsy legs, cheap plastic parts and gimmicky ports. The clear leader in that comparison was the Bluetti Sp200. A premium panel that out performed everything else in the field. That panel however turned out to be overkill for some of our recent projects that rely on the Bluetti AC50S...

The Sofirn SP35 has been released for a little bit now but when they finally came out with a 5000k variation I had to grab one to test it out on my recent camping trip. It has onboard charging using USB-C, a great deep carry clip, a 2000 lumen SST40 LED and a 5000 mAh 21700 battery. This is in my estimation the best camping flashlight available. I would add a programmable solar powered inline Solonoid sprinkler valve at the end of the line before your irrigation. When the solonoid ooens, the pump turns on. When the solonoid valve closes, the pump turns off.

Need some expert advice please!! :) I am a newbie with solar and these portable power stations. We are doing a two month long camping road trip using a van where will be basically living it without ever using any kind of shore power. We live in Idaho and will be traveling into backcounty of BC Canada on this trip. I bought a 12volt portable fridge off Amazon ( VEVOR 12 Volt Refrigerator, 53 Qt Dual Zone Car Fridge) and a ACOPOWER 100 Watt 12V Black Monocrystalline Solar Panel. I only have room on the roof for a 100watt solar panal because I have two Roof Boxes to haul extra sports gear. I can't decide betwoon the EB 55 or the EB 70. We drive a lot.... prob some each day doing adventures and sight seeing. I can see where the EB 55 would work with our solar panal and using and inverter plugged into our van for some AC charging. II was thinking this route in case the 100 watt solar can't keep up with the fridge. But I can also see where having the larger battery on the EB 70 would last longer. We don't plan on using the battery for anything elseother than the fridge as we have a genarator (Honda EU 2000) for our cooking ect. My wife rides an ebike so we always bring the generator to charge it. . I would like to not run it any more than possibel as is is loud and vibrates the van but worth it so she can do our biking adventures :) I know I gave a lot of information thank you for reading this. Any help would really be helpful. This newbie would really appreciate any ideas/input. Thank You VERY Much!!

I have the EB70 with with a SP120 for little over a year now... Within that one year time frame the SP120 just quit??? It has no cracks or chips, and tried cleaning it several times with mild soaps to make sure there was no dirt obstructions. Bluetti support had no suggestions and eventually;ly sent out a replacement. They did not want my original returned? So I'm still not sure what the problem was??? However, given my background and education from DeVry, I have to investigate! Question; do these solar pan les have a MTBF rating? (mean time between failure). Also, is there a recommended "solution" for cleaning them? I've used windex and dawn as mild detergents, but am ready try something stronger... There are a few areas on the panels with a white type of light hazy streak not coming off??? Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated!!! Bluetti didn't want it back so why not see if w can trouble shoot....

Now that the eb70s is out which would give better bang for the buck that or the eb55. On a different review testing capacity it was suggested that the eb70s in actuality only had the watt hours of the eb55. Any one test the eb70s to determine it’s true capacity. I’d love to know since I am having difficulty deciding between those two units and the eco flow river pro which also doesn’t have a very good wh capacity rating.
