Mine dies when I put a load on while in eco mode but can handle load fine in eco off mode. Switch seems to work as it idle up and back down with no load when I witch it back and forth?
Sorry, but no I never did. It seems to work ok as long as it's below rated spec, so I just try to keep it under about 1500w. That extra 100w below continuous rating seems to make the difference.
Air conditioner uses electric motor for compressor. If AC rated f.e. 700w, compressor motor consumes x6-x9 times rated power while starting, in our example - 4200-6300w Your generator - is invertor based, and it will not sustain such startup currents. This consumption will last for 0.3-3 seconds.
I have a soft start unit installed on it, but that wasn't the problem. I recently had to replace the start capacitor and I think that it was causing the load to ramp up rather quickly after the initial start, and the little Honda couldn't handle the load after a while.
@@NoelBarlau My model is the pre-bluetooth version but it's doing the same thing... Took it apart, changed the oil, swapped the spark plug, cleaned the carb and filter, still destined for a landfill so it seems!

I believe I figured the fix! Open the choke just a bit, for me I know keep the choke at the halfway point.@@NoelBarlau

1600w continuous, 2000w intermittent.
