Great vid!. I'm off-grid in BC Canada, and literally JUST had my Kipor IG4300 die on me and it's doing the exact same thing. I get the overload alarm light blinking, then I press the overload reset button and the light goes off for a few seconds and then the overload alarm trips again. Thanks to this video I have something to try!. I hope it's just my connectors as well and not the inverter board. I have a new replacement carb so I'll swap that while I'm at it, and check the spark plug for gunk too. Hopefully this is a quick fix. Thanks for sharing!. :)
Thanks for your video. I'm trying to figure out what he problem is with my Westinghouse portable igen2200, it started fine, the power is present only for two minutes then overloaded led in red lights with only a fan running for test, and the power goes out. I'll check step by step as you did and cross my fingers.
Keen on the diagram bro. Thanks for the video. I have a Honda eu20i hoping I can adapt the honda copy inverter board to (in my case the DU20 kipor part)
I have the exact same generator but mine outputs 280VAC and damages devices connected to it. I measured voltages output from the stator i.e. the 6p connector just like you did and mine outputs 560VAC. I thought it was the stator but you mentioned this model sometimes ouputs 0-1800VAC from it so I’m out of ideas. Any thoughts?
Good to know about this possible issue for future error repair. Thank you! Maybe someone have experience or any suggestion in following matter. My Kipor IG2600 generator started to kicks back when to pull cord. Not every time when to start (pull cord) but randomly. Sometimes seems like problem gone and then few next times when to start kicks back again. That's why I afraid to pull quickly-forcefully, it may hurt arm seriously when kick back. Also quite often hard to pull rope especially at the beginning. I know that normally there is small compression but sometimes it feels too much. This problem appeared already many years ago and MAYBE (not sure) after this when I tried to start generator, start recoil stucked. I waited few minutes and tried again but somehow lost rope handle from my hand and this rope handle broke case and rope pull-back case as well when returned quickly. I repaired it by myself. Maybe something went wrong. Then it was almost new generator, maybe after 3rd full tank. One Kipor UK dealer-repair shop responded to my request for help that ignition trigger on the flywheel needs moving 1.5mm. Clockwise. At the same time others saying that ignition adjustment in such inverter generators not possible. One local repair shop adjusted the valves (as one possible solution) but still have same uncomfortable problem. I think there might be compression release issue. Thanks in advance!
@Random Repair and Restoration hey do you know how to reset overload button? we left it running over night and in the morning we notice that overload light came up we tried everything to reset that light overload light but still no luck any sugestions please?
Check the ignition module as well it’s the part that has the 3 led lights on it showing power, overload and low oil, they burn out as well caucusing no spark.
The original board was working. It was the wire terminal going into the connector on the board that was broken. The new board also seemed to be working, but I returned it to the store for refund before I really got to test it.
The problem with my Kipor is that it is randomly giving the Overload Alarm after a few minutes running even if nothing is connected to it. Any idea please?
Thank you for the nice video sir, would you be kindly explain why when you try to light up the lamp for second time after fixing bad connector the lamp still not on?
Thank you :) I can see it's a bit unclear in the video. If i don't remember incorrect the bulb probably broke at some time during the process. And when it didn't work I connected the voltmeter - it lit up, but took uncomfortably long time before it gave indication of 230V. After that i just test it with a electric heater to confirm it was ok (thats the grey plug inserted in the white voltage meter). So all in all, the electric issues was all related to the broken connectors on the inverterboard.
It was just the bulb not working, and i was afraid the reconnecting of the inverter had failed so it stressed me out a bit. It was already working at that point.
Greetings. Please make a video about setting up this carburetor, how to set it correctly so that it doesn’t turn off under load and saves fuel in economy mode?
If it stops it is usually because it does not get enough fuel. Disassemble the carburator and clean the nozzle tube and jet. - basicly remove the bowl, clean the jet (the nut on the bowl), remove the screw from inside the senter "pipe" and push out the tube. Clean them so all the small holes are open.
@@randomrepairandrestoration I have already cleaned it. I want to achieve the lowest possible speed in economy mode, to save fuel, but so that when connecting a large load, it also pulls it without going into protection.
This is excellent work. I watched this many time , now I can fix my generator by myself , but unfortunately the control unit in my generator not work , can you told me how can I get one?
Thank you. I appreciate your feedback. 😊 You have the same generator? I struggled alot myself to source the control unit. There is a few of them on ebay but they were very expensive. I found a matching CU in another cheap brand (rebranded) sold by a local store. I think ridgid uses the same. Good luck 😃
The short answer is yes probably. I am not 100% sure why the sound changed so radically when i tried the new control unit. It heard and felt like the engine was somewhat stuck. It went a couple of moments with the original control unit, after the connectors were fixed, before it sounded like it released. After that everything was ok.
The fix in my case was around 16:30. It was the connectors to the inverter that was broken. The "Eureka" moment was just that the voltmeter still said 0v while i was expecting it to work, but after running a few more minutes it came back to life. Several issues were resolved in this video. What is the problem with yours? 🎄😊
Thank you 👍😀 I'm not 100% sure but i think kge3000ti has two designs. An old one and a newer one. The newer one just changed name so they are the same.
Thanks! I just got one for free. Replaced the fuel pump and it runs so smoothly😁 I must say, I’m i little surprised over the quality. Much better than I thought. No problem delivering the power, in fact it delivers a little bit more than it supposed to without flashing the overload warning. Definitely not a low end generator quality wise.
How easy (or difficult) do you think it would be to convert this particular genny to run on LPG? Thank you for a great tutorial, as I’ve recently brought this generator and I’m now convinced more than ever that I could service it myself at home.
I bought a second hand champion dual fuel 2000w with a bad engine and put the carb and all the propane hoses on a generac that is also a yamaha mz80 clone. Works good! Burns somewhat more propane than the champion in propane mode though
I wish I could get my kipor working. Thought it was the. Inverter board since the stator tested good but when I tried adapting it to work with a champion inverter board it still doesn’t work. Now I don’t know what to do.

Thank you 😊 Good luck ! 👍🔥
Why was the green output light not on at the end when it was putting out power
Do you mean while it was outside? It's just the outdoor light that makes the green light hard to see.

Is that the same inverter as clark ig2200?

It is probably the inverter board. Maybe you have the same issues i had with the connector pins being broken/ not connected.
Hi, I own a KIPOR IG2600.
Brand new, but no spark so it won't turn on.
Any idea how to investigate and fix?
No spark, maybe its the magneto on the motor?
Check the ignition module as well it’s the part that has the 3 led lights on it showing power, overload and low oil, they burn out as well caucusing no spark.
Love the video, I have the same unit , but I can not get it to run, something is wrong with the ignition, because I don’t get a spark, any ideas?
It could be a bad ignition coil, a bad plug or bad kill/on/off switch. Not much else actually.
where did you order your parts? my inverter module also is fried 🥺
Did you install the original board, did it work? Is the new board also working?
The original board was working. It was the wire terminal going into the connector on the board that was broken. The new board also seemed to be working, but I returned it to the store for refund before I really got to test it.
Que clase de gasolina usa gasolina misteada o gasolina limpia
This is 4stroke so regular fuel is ok. Max 10% ethanol.
I run a 2600 kipor if i overload and the light comes on how do i reset with no reset button , what am i missing here ?
The problem with my Kipor is that it is randomly giving the Overload Alarm after a few minutes running even if nothing is connected to it. Any idea please?
Check the spark plug for fouling.
What is the name of the 12 volt connector? I can't find the connector because I don't know the name ...
BLADE TERMINAL SIZES, MALE, FEMALE Connector

I don't understand. You showed near the end of the video the light bulb was not lighting up. Failure to fix. Then all of the sudden its fixed.
It was just the bulb not working, and i was afraid the reconnecting of the inverter had failed so it stressed me out a bit. It was already working at that point.

2:35 Needle valve is SHUT when float is HIGH like when you are blowing.
Correct. Float should not be "high" when held in that orientation. It should be easy to blow through.
The problem is from connectors?
In my case the electrical problem was related to broken connectors/ bad connection, yes.
This small gnr with 3000W ?????
It peaks at 3000w. I think it is continuous 2700w. And it delivers quite well also 😊
Meaning sir the only problem was the connector not the control unit?

I don’t see how you fixed it. I see your finger go up in the air like you figured it out but still have no idea what you did to fix the issue? =

Funny cos I had exactly the same fault in the same place in the connector block. Must be common.
