- So this started out as our favorite daily drinkers. Then one of us broke the rules and this turned into the best daily drinkers under $50. All of these whiskeys are available and easy to drink. They are all great for beginners and whiskey lovers alike! We have a list of the best 9 whiskeys available (at least to us). None of these are considered rare whiskey (maybe eagle rare because you all know Sean).

Michael J Fox could put out a cleaner pour of whiskey than Dan.
Sean may comment on this but I literally had to say I laughed out loud reading this comment. -Dan
Best dig ever!
Savage
Ditto for Katherine Hepburn.
Just the morning shakes
Rare Breed punches above it's weight class. I love that bourbon! My local bottle shop bought pallets of it and sold them for 24.99. I've always regretted not buying a case or two
Wow that's crazy that's 2 dollars more than 101
Dude...you messed up, big time lol. I think it goes for $43.99 in my local store.
25 bucks for rare breed?!?!
It's like $45 at my LLS.
Just picked up a bottle of jack daniels single barrel select bottled 7-9-2018.it came with a jack daniels glencairn glass 40$!
Sean, always correcting Dan's thoughts. Love it. Please stay well boys!
Just started watching your channel and this early video is great! Yes you have both come a long way!! 🙂
I have started to become an old grandad 114 guy myself.
Love the bottle flipping....only thing missing was a bottle chug.
Glad to see you guy together. 🥃
Bougie
I work at Buffalo Trace Distillery in the Craft dept, bottling Eagle Rare, Blanton's, Rockhill Farm, ET Lee, EH Taylor...alot of work goes into one bottle!
👍🏽Great Picks Guys!
Love them all!😋
...especially the 1792 at 36.99$..👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great video and great list. Man I wish I find early times here in NJ.
just grabbed the last bottle of lost monarch from my binny's for the same price. Lovin it
Sean’s list-totally attainable!! Dan’s list- I’ve only physically see 1 on the list. So how are those daily drinkers?? Rare Breed- the best under $45 bottle out there!!
Who else got into bourbon when the pandemic started? I did and gained about 20lbs. lol. Lost it now but I went a little too crazy buying 1-2 bottles a week. 😂
I was converted by a bottle of Blanton's in my uncles cupboard about 6 months before covid hit. I too gained a bit of weight and have now joined the walkers of my neighborhood, just so i can keep experiencing the awesomeness that is bourbon.
I went into scotch early on not knowing blantons was a bourbon, traversed scotland a little bit with the whisky, then was converted back to bourbon by a bottle of clyde mays 92pf. After that scotch kinda lost its punch, and now i hunt down the bourbons.
Top picks for me (in no order). Knob creek 9, clyde mays 92pf, lost monarch, Bardstown fusion #3, and angels envy. Angels envy barely makes the list but the uniqueness of the wine finish keeps it interesting. Eagle rare would have beat it out for sure if i liked cherry notes in my bourbon (but i don't), however if you do everything else in the bottle is great!
Also try a bourbon sour, its the bourbon margarita!
Exactly!! Same with me lol
Bourbon makes you gain weight?!?!? 😳
Definitely agree on that ET BiB! I was pleasantly surprised.
really hard to get some of these in New Zealand, but I am looking for them!
Appreciate the advice
Girlfriend just got me a bottle which made me think of this.... Maker's 46 is pretty solid daily drinker at 39.99.
Brian Casey just got the 46 at my LLS for 28.99! Very solid.
Absolutely, 46 is fantastic for the price
I concur, Maker’s 46 is an excellent pour especially for the price
Oh yeah, 46 is fantastic, but it's mid $40's in my neck of the woods.
Get cask strength. Even better.
I make an Old Fashion from time to time that get raves. I use Kessler's. Cheap stuff. AND two drops/per of Pernod, orange twist garnish just like my Great Aunt Flori made them. Even first timers love them. Great balance.
Just found your channel by complete accident, but love it. Definitely subscribing. Best whiskey I've found under $40 I think even under $30 is New Riff out of Kentucky I believe, and Hotel Tango ( weird name I know). A disabled veteran own distillery. I think from Connecticut.
I have every one of these in my cabinet now except Redwood Empire. I've never seen it in the Carolinas. Excellent list. Forester Rye is ridiculously good, but dont tell anyone or it's going to go the way of McKenna BIB.
Love the new set. Takes it to the next level.
Killed it w/ the Redwood Empire & ET BIB! All Around pretty great!
Great video yall.. Feel like this list is missing OG114 tho
1792 Full Proof, WT Rare Breed, OGD 114, Knob Creek Single Barrel are some of my main choices under $50. Of course if I can find it, Stagg Jr, Henry McKenna 10yr and Eagle Rare are in this list.
Knob Creek barrel proof and Rare breed are my two favorite around $40-$45.
Thank you Gabe from the office, and Howard Wolowitz's long lost, taller brother. Very informative
I've got to add Old Grandad BiB to the inexpensive daily list. Way better than its $20 price tag suggests. I just side-by-side tasted it with Turkey 101, and OGD won.
All the Redwood Empires cost around 30-33 bucks in Northern California. They just announced a fall release of Bottled In Bond releases, i can’t wait!
Huge fan of Eagle RARE emphasis on RARE can rarely get it out here in ND so when I seen a 1.75 had to buy 2!
No apostrophe in Whiskeys. Great video!
Another excellent video on flipping whiskey bottle's and the whiskey review's aren't too bad either!
Yea we haven't seen each other in weeks and the isolation got to us, hence bottle flip city
I've avoided picking up redwood empire because the bottle looks so hipsterish, but I'll have to give it a shot now. I think it's under 40 in nebraska.
this is the one we needed right now. only one I can't get on board with is the woodford wheat. redwood is aged in cali but sourced from cali, indy, Tennessee, KY. I still really like 1792 SiB and see the SB in some spots for $28. I agree dailies should be under $40.
love it guys!!
Great choices, boys. Love the look of regret when Dan realized he poured 4 oz. of that Old Fo. I’ve been there, brother.
you can see me looking at it like wait... that bottle is signed.
I would go with 5. Rare Breed, 4. Buffalo Trace, 3. Michter's Rye, 2. Eagle Rare 10, and number 1 has to be Elijah Craig Small Batch.
agree with every one of those
Lost monarch is great. Thanks for the recommendation
I’m new to all of this but eager to learn and experience what I can on a retiree’s budget. It would be extremely helpful to list the full names in the description or comment. Many of these distillers have multiple offerings and I’d really like to pick up the correct one (if I can find it locally). Can’t locate the Early Times Bottled in Bond or the Redwood Empire Lost Monarch here in NE Florida....
that 1792 bib is good stuff got a store pic and i was amazed
69 years old still daily drinking good health (because of whiskey) never miss a days work Four roses single barrel is my favorite but staple on Elijah Craig small batch lovely bourbon whiskey ps I’m not fat and my liver works great moderation in all things I do have a weakness for ice cream as well but homemade is the ticket
WT101 Rye, EW BiB, Old Ezra 7 BP, Bulleit Blender's Select, EC SmB
I live in Sacramento,Ca. My current daily is Eagle Rare. But it is not easy to find here. I just grabbed a Magnum and it set me back 60.00 bucks. I'm not mad at all.
Dan every episode: “this is the best bottle of bourbon every made”
@11:11 shout binnys cause i work at the Geneva, IL location and get employee discounts and first picks for allocated/special order bottles😂
Lost Monarch 30 in Illinois, all day
I would like to see a Most flippable bottle over $100 video. Extra points for landing it on a cinder block.
Just bought redbreast 12..I love ot
No Early Time BiB or Forrester Rye in Central MS. Can’t believe it when I can get Rare Breed and Eagle Rare everywhere.
Great list. Here in the Bay Area, Redwood Empire is easy to get. I can’t find Early Times BiB to save my life!!
I’m from so cal and can’t find Early Times either. Only place I saw it was in AZ.
Great title Dan!
You guys got me laughing right at the beginning by TRYING to come up with some rulz!! Like those are gonna be followed??!! Great picks though. Stay safe!
Sean, dope hoodie.
Once this craziness is over I think you two should do the bourbon trails in Kentucky
Good picks guys, I have all of those on my shelf with a special (warm) place in my heart for Rare Breed, its stupid good for the price. You all in TC?
Tricity area
Redwood Empire? Availability rule, out the window. Sean wins!
Not sure if it's just up here, but I've never seen a bottle of Woodford Wheated in MN or WI. The stores I ask say they got 0 or 1 bottle of it last fall.
Managed to get the last bottle of Rare Breed at my local liquor store. Haven’t opened it yet, but keeping it as an emergency stock during these crazy times. Stay healthy bros
Is it a 2020 batch?
I got 3 bottles from my local stores and im probably gonna give one to my dad but I wanted to let my brothers bday past so my dad didn't re gift it and wind up giving it to my brother. My dad loves Buffalo trace but hasn't had eagle rare
I daily OGD 114, $32 in FL
I don’t know why I punish myself watching these.
BJ: “You can find this everywhere”
Me: *cries in Utah*
😂
Go to Hill AFB, they have them there
$40 Knob Creek barrel proof is my favorite.
RE lost mon is $37 in KY (slightly higher priced store)
I'll be back in Illinois next week, going to hit up Binny's and bootleg what ever I can back to PA. We get decent prices in our state system, but have to put up with what they stock.
Solid list as always. That Redwood Empire isn’t in NC. Heard good things
not in florida either
The Redwood flip was an assist. Sean is a baller!
I really just didn't want that to explode
Eagle rare hard to find for sale in Oregon, I did get s store pic bottle just before Christmas. A gift if there ever was.
Even Williams bottle in bond 100 proof is really good $16
i love eagle rare i only found 4 bottles locally for 40 a bottle i drank all four easily
At least I am not the only one from Michigan who has to go to Binny's for some of his Scotch / Bourbons. (:
Lost monarch is my favorite hands down
HVIII sweater on point
-Old Forester
-1792
-Woodford Reserve Wheat
-Wild Turkey Rare Breed
-1792 BIB
-Old Forester Rye
-Eagle Rare
-Early Time BIB
-Redwood Empire Lost Monarch
I still haven’t managed to complete a $30 bottle collection without drinking at least one of them first 😂
Ohio... I can only find The ScreminChicken and Woodford. But I’m limited to State Stores.
Just can find Eagle Rare at that price here anymore (East TN) 3-4 years ago it was my go to now if I do find it its over $40
Love the OF rye, not a big fan of 1792 small batch. Little sweet for me
To defend Dan, Lost Monarch is in Georgia for $29.99 at a local liquor store. Not even a big box store so in my eyes he followed the rules lol
1792 Small Batch $29.99 in Simpsonville South Carolina all day long.
Love Eagle Rare, but you can't find it here in the Florida panhandle, but if you do they want $100+ for it. If you luck and know someone that works on one of our local military bases, they can get it for $25-30 if they have it.
I gotta try that Early Times haha. Saw one remaining bottle the other day and passed.
Gotta pick that up for suuuuure
Good is what like Great is what you Love!
Highly shocked no mention of any Tennessee Whisky's on this channel...My father owns a Liquor Store in TN and the George Dickel line is consistently great. Superior No.12, 11 Year BIB, and the Barrel Select is all amazing. Jack Daniels as well, great whisky's.
Knob Creek small batch 100 proof $30 in PA
I cannot find Eagle Rare in AZ... it’s hard times in the desert!
Early Times for the win on any Daily Drinker list... It's so money.
Really like the scarlet and gray banner! #gobucks
I have 2 sealed ET BIB left and it’s about impossible to find here in Alabama debating on saving these 2 AWHILE!
Nah just gotta drink tht up and enjoy
Dunno who is hating on Eagle Rare 10 year. I’ve been on a quest for a couple years to find a better, more drinkable, bourbon that I enjoy more, and nothing comes close. Even in blinds I pick it out every time! Bonus is that ER is a bourbon everyone I introduce it to loves, and how I got the Mrs. into drinking bourbon with me!
1792, Evan Williams Vintage Single Barrel, Eagle Rare, 4 Roses Small Batch, Larceny ( just to throw in a Wheater)
Joe Striker just picked up a bottle of 4 roses small batch select today
My pick is Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch... Hear me out!
1st you have to find it for 59.99 (which i did hee hee), then market some pours to your buddies for 5 bucks! All you need is 2 takers and you hit 50.
P.S. i have a bottle available for scalping!
Edit: that lost monarch is pretty good, i liken it to a white rum in some ways (although firmly down whiskey road). I created a mixed drink using it that i love. One of my old favorite mixed drinks is the cuban mojito. I created the Brandito and here is my recipe!
The Brandito!
2oz bourbon, 1oz lime juice, 1/2 simple syrup (i made a pineapple syrup), 5 mint leaves, 3.5oz fever tree ginger beer, club soda, and 2 dashes of grapefruit bitters.
add juice, syrup, and mint. Muddle. Add bourbon (i used lost monarch), add ice, shake and strain over ice in a glass (12oz). add the ginger beer and top with club soda. garnish TBD...
Smooth easy sipper, essence of mojito, sweet ginger bite (in a good way), lime soda/ginger ale. The lost monarch plays perfect in this drink. its lighter like a white rum which adds to the mojito essence coming through. It has some spice that finds itself mingling perfectly with the ginger bite, adding to the nuance of difference that is this drink.
My new summer drink has arrived!
I tried a sub $20 whisky called LEGACY WHISKY and I must say big taste for the price... I found it at Brookshires.
Legacy is fanTAStic!
Redemption High Rye, 92 proof, $26.99($19.99) on sale or any of the Redemption line. Bernheim Original Wheat, 90 proof, $29.99. I can't argue with the Rare Breed or Old Forester picks. Eagle Rare is a great $30.00 bottle, but it got very popular very fast here, so it's $50.00 or more and the stores would "keep it in the back" to make it seem special. It ain't special and it ain't a $50.00 bottle. I live in Maryland.
Redwood empire lost monarch is great and 35.00 in GA
Store picks aren't available in state liquor dispensary states you got to keep us out west in mind.
I wish we could get Eagle Rare in Houston. I've never seen it.
I guess with the rare breed on here it took it's spot but I'd like to see the Russell's 10 yr get some more love. I think before ER and Russell's 10 it'd be a coin flip they're both amazing but I love I can get Russell's everywhere.
GD it of course Xichigan would hoard all the ER leaving us Buckeyes to starve.
Eagle Rare hard to find in Texas
Can’t find eagle rare in Georgia. Anywhere. It’s like finding Blanton. In 3 months I’ve seen 3 bottles of eagle rare. Bought them all $35 each
In TX, Eagle Rare is just that - rare. Can’t find it anywhere here.
Same here.
I wish I could find Eagle Rare more often, hard to find in South Florida.
Also hard to find in California and Ohio. I'm hoarding an unopened bottle, but can't call it every day unless I can find it more regularly.
Incidentally, guys, where are you located geographically? Where is "here?"
Love the insight, but I hate all the bottle tossing. Not hitting the subscription button because it.
Early Times BiB is a "special order" bottle at my Binnys.....gonna have to go in and request it.
It’s gooooooood!
