Ella voicing Jinx in Arcane, and now this, she’s really left an awesome mark in the games adapted into shows. Even if she’s not that good at the games herself 😅
I've only seen the first episode so far as I'm trying to pace myself and make the show last. Super tough to do seeing all the hype from people who binged, but I'm avoiding spoilers and muted everything fallout on social media. The Fallout games are some of my favorite of all time. Poured hundreds of hours into each entry, and the show hooked me with the very first episode. Can't wait to start the next one tonight!
A lot of people don't care for Maximus it seems, but I really enjoyed how morally ambiguous he seems early on and how he goes from stultified, 'rabbit in the headlights' bewilderment to just about vaguely competent by the end once he has stakes beyond his own skin to think about. There's something about him that reminds me of a Coen Brothers sort of character.
You do know Denzel Washingtons son is a actor. John Washington. He sounds just like his dad and actually a pretty good actor. He was the black dude in Tenet.
I find him to be a way better actor than John David Washington too. Like JWD is way to monotone. Always wished Yayha Abdul Mateen had gotten the Tenet role he would have made that movie way better.
I went in with hype being minimal and figured I'd watch a couple episodes everyday, and then it became "okay I'll watch half and then the other half tomorrow", all to finally be at the last episode saying "screw it, let's finish this". It was such a good show.
Never played the game, just saw the series come up on screen when I started Netflix on TV. Watched episode one and immediately told my Dad about it that night to see if he would enjoy it. I ended up bing watching thru episode 8 before I could allow myself to go to bed. Absolutely loved it! Cant wait for there to be more, I hope there is more then 8!

Loved this series!!! And I have never played any Fallout games...but I have watched a LOT of videos on RUclips recently to learn some of the lore...😂 Walton Goggins was immense in his role of the Ghoul...he reminded me a lot of when Val Kilmer played Doc Holliday in Tombstone...which was a stellar performance! I reckon Goggins will soon be cast in a major MCU or DCU role... The rest of the cast was also really good...props to the casting directors who must have had to work within a restricted budget given the obvious large amount being spent on the amazing live sets, costumes and CGI!! Have to admit I had never heard of Ella Purnell...I was shocked when I found out she was English!!! But she was a really strong and watchable lead. Honestly I was less impressed with Aaron Moten for the first few episodes but I think this was maybe how the director wanted him to play the role...because by the last 2 or 3 episodes he really evolved the character. Moses Arias (Lucy's brother) and Johnny Pemberton (Thaddeus) were briliiant in their supporting roles too...and it was a great blast from the past to see Kyle MacLachan again for old Twin Peaks fans like me! Finally...a special acknowledgement has to go to Matt Berry for his voice role as Mr Handy!!! It was epic!!! 😂😂😂 I really hope we see more of that robot in the 2nd season.
I love that there's Lucy char presets, Maximus, Lucy's backpack, gun sfx from the series, Cooper char presets, and more mods on the Nexus already! I might actually make an "okie dokie!" mod that plays when you level up or something. Made a couple of FOMODS in the past for Skyrim for MO2, should be pretty easy!
The valt colors and suit and the old 70s look is what does it for me,i might use other gear over it but most of the time i keep my vaultsuit or armor on,ya i switch it up with other gear but i always come back to it. and ofc the music is great and the brotherhood armor it all comes together so wel
Fallout Dark Humour was built in by INTERPLAY/Obsidian Entertainment dev team between FALLOUT 2 and FALLOUT: New Vegas; as such it was also adopted albeit a bit like a rollercoaster in other iterations, sometimes well, sometimes a bit offtone
I've always adored Ella Purnell. It's awesome that she even played the game (and watched a bunch of youtube and twitch). Also, LOVE Goggins. The Ghoul was awesome. I was also rather surprised how much I like Aaron Moten in this too. Maybe it's just me, being one the game player (played ALL the Fallout games), but yeah, I feel some emotional disconnect to the show, unfortunately. Like it didn't quite 'hit' me in the right 'feel,' but overall, what an awesome spectacle that was. A bunch of easter eggs. I watched with another fellow Fallout enthusiast, it's just so much fun to just admire the whole freaking details they put on the set, the monsters, the costuming, the attitude of the people, it's so good that I'm like, oh wow, Fallout in live action is really that awesome to watch. I do think it's funny at moments though. Although like many have talked about on Reddit (yes, I'm part of the Fallout reddit thread, I love reading ppl's comments)...we're wondering about the timeline. Y'know, since in the blackboard it talked about 2277 about NCR then 2281 was the FNV timeline. Sooo...what's up with that part, are they rewriting that part of the lore?
This moment felt like the peak in Lucy’s character. Where she finally accepts the wasteland for what it is and becomes that “animal” type person that Siggi was talking about.

Ella voicing Jinx in Arcane, and now this, she’s really left an awesome mark in the games adapted into shows. Even if she’s not that good at the games herself 😅
Indeed she has been fantastic I love that she shows the material so much respect such a difference that is such a positive
These 2 absolutely smashed it! Great casting
great cast, great script, great action and acting. it can be done.
Another great series of interviews by Ali Plumb! This show was so great, and this cast is incredible.
Great cast, excellent transition from game universe to tv.
It’s so rare a show has actors and roles that make you like everyone equally for different reasons.
Seriously though! Loved the main characters, and side characters like Norm and Chet.
I swear I've seen Denzel Washington in this guy performance really interesting.
The first time I saw Aaron in the show I actually thought it was Denzel's son or something.
saaaame
You do know Denzel Washingtons son is a actor. John Washington. He sounds just like his dad and actually a pretty good actor. He was the black dude in Tenet.
I thought he was the younger brother of Peele when he was frowning in some scenes.
I find him to be a way better actor than John David Washington too. Like JWD is way to monotone. Always wished Yayha Abdul Mateen had gotten the Tenet role he would have made that movie way better.
The actor for Lucy seems so down to earth and she’s so charming and funny!!! I would love to see her in more comedies❤❤
The cast were great in the show, I had such good time watching! Binged the whole freaking thing already haha
I went in with hype being minimal and figured I'd watch a couple episodes everyday, and then it became "okay I'll watch half and then the other half tomorrow", all to finally be at the last episode saying "screw it, let's finish this".
It was such a good show.
Honestly this series has been phenomenal.
Ella, Aaron and Walton all deserve emmy noms for their roles in this. Such an incredible show. Now where is the Elder Scrolls show Todd?
An absolute awesome series
Got to love it when they don't piss on the game.
I'm having withdrawals after binging the entire season on release, counting the days till season 2.....FOR THE BROTHERHOOD!!!!
It took me a while to warm up to Maximus but I became a huge fan of the character and the actor.
They really really nailed the tone of a fallout story absolutely! Aaron is bang on. Great job by the writers and directors.
"the problem with being competitive and not very good is, you're just angry all the time!" Yes Ella...I feel you :D
2:50 Okey dokey!
The one HUGE criticism I have of the Fallout Tv Show is....
we now have an excruciating wait for season 2.😥
Ella is such an optimist that even when asked to describe her least favorite part filming Fallout, she still made it sound like the time of her life.
Just binged it all, brilliant Fallout is number one okydoky
Raced to Fallout Episode 6 already and its fantastic
you all did an amazing job. thank you.
God Ella Purcell is so damn cute, and if I could make it happen I would recast Kang in the MCU with Alex. He’s such a good actor and looks exactly like a younger Jonathan Majors
Todd Howard on Radio 1
It just works?
Finiished the series saturday morning .Had no idea about the game barely the premise aside from the trailer that i barely remember and i was so glad that i didnt knpw much of anything .Fantastic series Ellla purnell and Walter goggins superb casting needless to say im hooiked what a ride cannot wait for season 2.
Jona plays the games thats how they capture the tone so well
Loved this series!!! And I have never played any Fallout games...but I have watched a LOT of videos on RUclips recently to learn some of the lore...😂
Walton Goggins was immense in his role of the Ghoul...he reminded me a lot of when Val Kilmer played Doc Holliday in Tombstone...which was a stellar performance!
I really hope we see more of that robot in the 2nd season.
70s? 50s, surely?
The Show just Works
What an amazing show!!
so obsessed with this show! tbh it's a masterpiece and I haven't even played the games
Just finish the show and it good and follow the fallout universe lores
Aaron Moten is a star
He did so so good.
im a simple man, i see ali plumb and im obligated to watch the interview
I was pleasently surprised with the first episode its done pretty wel
They are so adorable :D I love the casting is the show ❤
They absolutely nailed the feeling of fallout and especially captured a great mix of bethesdas fallouts but also interplays fallouts 💯
Damn this interviewer good! One of the best out there...
Excellent Show 😎
I've always adored Ella Purnell.
Wouldnt that just mean it's a prequel to FNV?
@@TEMINIX i watched WIRED Q&A and its confirmed that the show took place 9 years after Fallout 4
As a day one from pc days, I loved fallout and they did a brilliant job
This moment felt like the peak in Lucy’s character. Where she finally accepts the wasteland for what it is and becomes that “animal” type person that Siggi was talking about.
