You must have skipped The Penguin, Shōgun, Fallout, The Boys, Squid Game, House of the Dragon, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live and that's just off the top of my head... oh and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 is far superior to Season 1. As long as people watch it without a bias hatred going into it.
She’s a blast in Fallout. She brings that kind of naïve adorkable vibe that just sells the character. Also her American accent is flawless, it’s freaky.
Fallout is excellent. I'm a long time Fallout gamer, and this show just got it right. It captures the spirit of the games but tells its own story. Ella is just brilliant in this.
At this point I feel safe in saying that if she is in it, it's worth watching. Doubly so if its a video game adaptation. She seems to be the secret ingredient in those.

Making their main game a point and click adventure was the worst decision they've made lol. It's a cop put, but, it should have been a game like overwatch. I hate that comparison but that would be the PERFECT way to show off the characters, and their lore accurate violence and abilities, instead of a comic book slap fest point and click.

Nobody can watch arcane and tell what the game is going to be like, which is why I don't really like the moba. You see arcane and you think it's some sweet fast paced action game, then you find out it's nothing more than a point and click spam game lol. It being a moba or not wouldn't have impacted us getting arcane though. Had it been a 1st person or 3rd person shooter, we'd still have gotten the series on Netflix. Its not like everyone is clamoring for moba titles these days lolol

Maybe she'll use more unconventional methods of killing. Swords, guns, chainsaws etc. All with baby? in tow Feel like she's only getting started. But Purnell I do think is this nation's answer to Vincent Price. Horror films really suit her and should be cast in the next major horror blockbuster, because she knows how to slash to death with a knife. Casting directors will love watching her three stabbings
Ella would be perfect if they ever made a live action version of Arcane. She has the petite body for Jinx and her face is perfect for Jinx with her big eyes.
Essentially the lead in two of the best shows around atm, both based on video games too, love it! Also, it's too good that she adores The Aristocats, that was always one of my favourite cartoon films ^.^ the kittens are the cutest...and I will eventually name my pets after Toulouse, Berlioz and Marie!
There have been a few series over the last 5-10y years that really clicked with me, and Arcane is at the top. The visuals, the music, and tone overall is exceptional. Just watched season 2, act1 so I understand her comment about being stoked when reading the script. I also appreciate her restraint about spoiling anything because part of why season 1 was so good is that it was surprising and subverted a lot of my expectations for what it would be.
Ella looks like the perfect friend that will take you adventuring just because. Call me whatever you want but, I think she's really cool and fun. I love her energy.
These are the kinds of actors we need. Love the source material, try to be faithful to it and are genuinely excited to play roles in those respective universes. She was absolutely amazing in Fallout, and she was amazing as Jinx. Will absolutely in whatever project she's in next.

My brothers invited me over to the "cool kids" house to watch a movie, turned out it was Nightmare on Elm Street, I was around 10 years old I think. I had nightmares for weeks! I still remember them. I do not like horror movies now either. Ella has quickly become one of my favorite actresses! What an amazing woman and its cool to hear some insight into her real life.

I watched Arcane because of the Henry Cavill interview. I think the interviewer said "I am gonna do you a favor" and then proceeded to tell him to watch Arcane. I looked it up right after the interview and was like, oh... this cartoon thing, I had seen the commercial before but brushed it off. Boy was he not lying, Arcane is EPIC, I am so glad he did that favor for Henry. Now I gotta go find that follow up interview.
If anyone watches Arcane and isn't AN IMMEDIATE FANBOY FOR LIFE, I DONT WANT TO TALK TO YOU. Arcane is quite honestly a masterpiece... The writing 11/10. THE CHARACTER DEVELOPEMENT? Forget about it. 11/10. The Animation.. OMG THE ANIMATION 11/10.. The artistic choices 11/10... The lighting 11/10. The 2d effects.. omg. THE FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHY!! 11/10. The music??11/10. The Acting performances 11/10... This production NAILED EVERYTHING- I CANNOT think of any other show or movie that invoked the level of emotion that this absolutely brilliant production did!!! It was like watching art on top of art on top of art. Alright, now i have to single out Ella Purnell for her performance as Jinks.. AaaaaaaBSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!.. As Jinks is a character of such incredible depth, she can truly only be AS GOOD as the actor playing her... they needed someone capable of relaying a FUDGING BLACK HOLE of emotion, ... suffice to say that they got everything they needed in Ella Purnell.. Jinks truly could not have been played by any other actor.. NOTTA.. And seriously, IMO Jinks is the coolest character to ever be written.. I was born in 1980, and SOMEHOW I ended up in a theater watching Gremlins when it came out in 1984 (I blame the mogwais). It had the same effect on me of not being able to watch horror films pretty much for life. Granted, I realize Gremlins is not a pure horror movie, but to a 4 year old... damn! I still haven't watched it again even though I loved Gremlins 2. Also, my family followed it up again the next year by showing me The Watcher in the Woods. I buried my head in the couch and got dropped in another room watching Fraggle Rock after 5 minutes of burying my head. lol
They look like doodles, I have no problem with tattoos but I hate it when people get a dozen or so tiny tattoos in all sorts of places, it just makes them look like a school desk.

I think the little demon thing on her shoulder is adorable, personally. I'd rather see someone look like this than have someone's last name on the back of their shoulder blades, or crappy tribal tattoos, or misstranslated poorly written symbols/letters/meanings.
My sisters godparents gave my family the movie spy kids and I was so hooked on the film and all the gadgets and it was also bizarre because it was prob the first American film I saw with hsipanic themes and actors as the director is rob rodriiguez a Mexican American like myself so those films were very special to me growing up for sure !
Spy Kids is such a great movie, 2 was even better, 3 ruined it, and Sharkboy and Lava Girl proved that Robert Rodriguez cares more about crazy visuals than anything else.

Absolutely an underrated actress. I'm shocked she hasn't blown up earlier. After Fallout and looking her up on IMDB, I was amazed, realizing some of the things she'd been in and I hadn't really known of her yet. She has an ability to bring these tiny emotional details and personality quirks to her characters that I feel can't really be trained into actors. It's either innate or just not there. Between Fallout and Arcane alone I'm looking forward to more shows/films with her in it.

Arcane is genuinely one of the best shows i've seen in a very long time.
It is so good, like surprisingly, incredibly good.
It did surprise me. The game means nothing to me at all, but the animation was a deep, dystopian, and beautifully animated and voiced triumph.
