No excuses for not having 10gbe anymore. Very impressive. If I hadnt already bought a Proart X870E Creator Wifi with 2*KSM56E46BD8Km-48HM, I'd probably buy this in a heartbeat. Thats actually excellent that it hits 5600 with ECC where my Proart cant hit that speed and I have to run it at 5400. Actually kinda sad this wasnt out when I built my 9950X system.
I wish motherboard makers would make more workstation boards without all the bling. No nonsense black board with a simple design and remote management type capability and focus on stability. Asus did a x570 workstation board that was awesome, too many gamer boards out there.
'Who really needs dual 10G Ethernet?' Look, if you're going for a creator/workstation/LLM/gamer setup, you absolutely do. I’ve been down this road trying to get high-speed network access, tons of local storage, and still have room for GPUs, AV cards, capture devices-you name it. And let me tell you, having 10G built in solves so many headaches. I’ve tried the whole route of slapping in X540 or CX3 cards, and cooling those things? You can choose between living next to a jet turbine, or a storage/network controller shutting down because it's literally about to melt. I ended up hacked up an extra GPU cooler just to deal with all that 😂 So having some of this integrated into the thermal armor makes things a whole lot easier.
The name had me a good laugh IDK about the 24-pin not being right angle (as well as the other connectors on that side like the prev aorus extreme boards) tho...least they could do
@@mthomas6 I just got that board. It's one of if not the best x870e boards and none of the reviewers talk about it. Not to mention it's sold out as soon as it gets back in stock.
@@sonofgodraj Shhhhhhh keep it a secret so more people can have a chance to buy it. But seriously what a steal if you can get it at MSRP and it doesn’t have all the lane-splitting BS for the GPU.
Pretty sure it's only 3 NVME lanes that are ×4, as the last one is ×2 and shares bandwidth with the last PCIe slot.. So essentially only one PCIe 5.0 NVMe and two 4.0 NVMe with full ×4 support.. I'd ignore the last slot/NVMe completely in my equation..
They kind of hid it for reasons I cant understand because it will just piss off the people that figured the Master was the top tier board this series! If you did dig around a bit though there were hints about it but until they confirmed it I wasnt sure. I even sent Gigabyte emails asking about it and they played stupid saying unless you see it on their website it is just a rumor. Then a month later it appears. I have bought their top tier motherboards almost every generation and same with their GPUs but lately they are doing things to make me think of leaving the brand behind. I did actually say screw it and went back to intel. I ordered the new Z890 Asus Extreme board and it came a day later. Then I figured I would look into the CPU before opening the box. Turns out its a one generation only socket and even worse they CPU is nothing great at all. So back it went. Im not spending over 1500 CDN dollars for a 1 generation motherboard. So back to AMD and I am deciding now between the MSI Godlike and this board.
@jasonb9629 i just bouth the X870e Master thinking the same thing. Super disappointed after seeing this. I'm big on brand loyalty, but at this point I'm considering returning this x870e master and getting the msi carbon instead. It's already bad enough paying $500 for a board and not having the tip tier.
Gigabyte was always my first chose and the Extreme is real nice but they dropped the ball on all the others below the master with 6-Layer PCB and Lower Amp power stages. Even the master is over priced as with almost all their boards only 2 m.2's don't share bandwidth with the PCIe 16 slot. It is sad that you can buy a Elite AX for under $200 and get a better VRM and PCB is 8-layers.
It's pretty sad that the best looking boards are locked behind astronomical pricetag and came bundled with unnecessary features that most people doesn't even need (which contributes to the price) I love the aesthetics, but I don't need most of the features here. I Wish there's going to be "style" focused boards in the future.
Why does aorus keep giving the AMD version the cheaper look. Just make it look closer to what the intel version is. They have been going backward since x570 xtreme. Also, the price seems its going to be $800 usd.
Why $500 is sad? i understand cheaper the better, but GPUs are already twice the price of what they were 10 years ago, CPUs.... we usted to drop $340 for the top quad core from intel for more than a decade, now we are about to pay $480 for a 9800X3D. Why motherboards should remain cheap? You can get a B650 for less than 1/4 of the price of this motherboard, but once again this is not for everybody, dual 10GBE nics is really its biggest feature (imo), and a dual 10GBE nic easily will increase $100 at least, but in this case you still keeping the last PCIe slot available for use for another thing (capture cards, usb cards, etc), instead of 10gb lan card, so again this motherboard imo is not for everybody, hell its a very niche motherboard for a very small market, personally im grateful it exists, and even though $800 is a lot of money, its not as expensive as the MSI Godlike will retail close to $1k.

One of my builds has an older Master that Gigabyte sent me. The Aorus Turkey logo just keeps getting larger every year.
great video , really cool board
with lots of cool features
I want a board with 10GbE standard but 2 ports is completely overkill, but if you get 2 ports... then make them 10Gb
Thankyou Nick! Happy Halloween Klair! Just built a new for a friend and thinking I'm going to DDR5 next for me.!? GRRR Intel.
It's almost the same price as the Asus X870E Hero and that one only has an half-assed 5GbE haha
No supplemental 6 pin power for the case USB C port? I got onevonbmyAsus x670e Extreme board and actually found it very useful
@@GSP-76Yep PD/Fast charge on the front header is an awesome feature. Asus and Msi are the only ones doing it though.
Loving the content!
Would you know when this releases in the US? Thanks! Love the video

Have a X550 and those run cool enough in my NAS... Can't say I've had thermal issues with my Intel NIC tbh.
Bring 10GbE down to lower-end mobos!

Spinning rust. Think about the sound of a HDD when it's powered on and you're accessing it
