Michael Gilbert of Flotsam and Jetsam chats on his connections with Metallica and Jason Newsted tells Joshua Toomey about hearing the The Black Album for the first time and being proud of Jason Newsted. He states that Metallica was "the only band he would have left us for". Gilbert also discusses joining Flotsam and Jetsam at 17 and Jason talking bar owners into letting him play the shows.
