Just a tip from an Italian: leave the pasta slighly undercooked, about 2 minutes less than the cooking time written on the packaging. This way it will finish cooking in the sauce and the starch from the pasta will make the sauce creamier
I made this sauce the other night and served with fresh linguini. Let me just say it’s now my favourite. Super easy and quick to make. I used a soy milk that has 8g of protein per cup and added 1/4 cup nutritional yeast to the blender. Huge hit for my family and it will be a regular dish from this day forward. Thanks gentleman for making my life a bit simpler.
I hear you; I am tested allergic to wheat but rye etc ok; (pumpernickel bread no problem) but my thinking is as long as it's gluten-free unprocessed which for a lot of people means brown rice not from California....., oats, and then quinoa and wild rice which are not grains, so who knows, sounds ok. I make pasta maybe 2x mo think it's ok; buy chickpea version; not that big a difference in price and actually is convincing; more fibre so people stop eating a bit faster. As long as you are ok don't over think it; absolutely do not get lost in the details. p.s. if real wheat allergy don't use soy sauce -- Bragg's or just tamari. Absolutely enjoy your food!!!

Why do you consider gluten-free pasta healthier when gluten is protein? If you do not have celiac disease, or another gluten sensitivity, isn't pasta with gluten a better choice? Why have a pasta with less nutritional value? Thanks for the recipe. I hope you have a minute to answer my question.
Oh, the second time you talk about pasta choice you do say that whole wheat would be healthier, and gluten free would be gluten free, but the first time you put forth gluten free as the healthy choice. I think a lot of people are confused about gluten and don't know about it's high protein content. I eat pasta for the gluten/protein in a meal that otherwise often doesn't have a lot of protein in it. Could you address this issue as many people do not understand it. many thanks!
I have just made this , it is very quick and easy, I added mushrooms to give it some more body. I will definitely make it again but next time I think I will use some fresh peppers and chargrill them myself for more flavour , I don’t really like prepackaged food , as well as some finely grated fresh garlic instead of the powder and top it with some home made vegan Parmesan. However it was very tasty . Cheers.

Fantastic! I dry roast fresh peppers in a nonstick pan for this recipe on very low heat. Deep fried onion rings stay for almost an year in a tightly sealed glass jar. Great topping to sprinkle over the pasta. Still trying to get the home made fresh pasta recipe to work though dry is available.
The accents alone make me stay. 🥰 Guys, can you use this with black bean pasta? I don't eat "regular" pasta. Thank you! (And please keep the accents! 😉) ❤️
My husband and I tried this tonight and we loved it. I know my husband likes something if he says he’d have it again. Next time, I will add a Serrano pepper to give it a little heat, but it is perfect as is.
Thank you for recipes that are healthy. I just looked at "authentic" Italian sauces with a block of salt and a half cup of olive oil...I love food but I like staying healthy above all . Im inspired by your recipes, personalities and creativity! Bon Apetit !
That's not too far off from some genuine Indian recipes. Kaju curry, for instance, is similar (in its base) to paneer butter masala (or butter chicken if that's more familiar to you), but uses a ground cashew paste like this one in place of cream, and uses pan-toasted cashews instead of paneer or chicken for the "protein".
I love how you're like this is gluten free when you're gonna eat it with a plate of gluten. And yes I've had gluten free pasta. There is no joy to be had there
All they did is say that the recipe is gluten free, so that if your someone with a gluten sensitivity it’s okay for u to have, I don’t see why your offended by that...
Apparently most people have an intolerance to wheat from it being in almost everything, not an allergy to it like celiac is. In the US we call it Frankenwheat because it’s changed so much and has been hybridized over the years. That’s the argument against it anyway. I eat wheat but only organic sprouted wheat.
To cover all the bases. I'm sure people who need to be gluten free watch this channel and appreciate the consideration. I personally don't have celiac disease, but I prefer to be GF as much as possible because I feel better without it.
Another recipe that I'm looking forward to trying (if I can find cheap cashews here in the US - you guys must get a great rate on them). Either or, finding your channel has really transformed my diet this year. Having to cut out soy completely has been THE challenge, but you two have truly made my life so much easier - no hyperbole. Merry Yule to you and your family!
I made this for my family it was delicous, I left the sauce a little chunky and it was delicous, I added fresh garlic and ginger to the sauce and chickpeas and spinach with the final product it was great no leftovers :)
some people have celiac disease. some people show as gluten sensitive from their blood tests. Gluten promotes inflammation in the body. Some say it affects your body in many negative ways. Even gives people depression. Try going gluten free for a week and you will notice that your joints feel better with less stiffness. Going gluten free is not that easy though. Wheat seems to be in everything from your vitamin pills to soy sauce.
@@crisgriffin3042 so make an appointment with your doctor and ask him face to face to explain the effects of gluten in your body instead of making trite remarks on YT.
gluten contains indigestible protiens and zonulin which acts to dialate your intestinal walls allowing bad things into your bloodstream or something I was half watching a presentation on it, a quick search on youtube youll find plenty presentations

It looks yummy thank you so much for sharing defitely going to try it out.
I wonder how a tablespoon or two of 'nooch' added to the blender would go?
What is mooch?
@@bethroundell8424 "Nooch" Nutritional yeast.
Did you try adding nooch? I'm sure it would be good :)
Looks yum! Tip if you're anti nut: add a spoonful of plain hummus to the sauce, I do it that way and it's super creamy 😀
Cheers.
was I the only one bothered by the single left over strand of linguine pasta left in the bowl at 2:00?
by the way, awesome, informative and adorable video guys. you guys are hilarious! thanks a ton! I'm gonna give this recipe a shot soon! minus the garlic lol. (damn allergies)
Guys, can you use this with black bean pasta? I don't eat "regular" pasta. Thank you! (And please keep the accents! 😉) ❤️
I I changed some ingredients with fresh ones but it was soooooo deliciou. I highly recommend it to everyone
The guy in blue should stop interrupting.
that's their twin thing happening. Just their style.

That would probably be good with a little bit of garam masala.
Nice even some aromatic spices would go great!
And curcuma
Thank you, I been searching where to find good vegan recipes. Ill look no further delighted and super helpful how it’s made 😊🙋🏻♀️😊
Merry Christmas, Guys!
Thanks a mill you too 👍🏼😄
Great video! I’m adding bell peppers, mushrooms & spinach to mine
I love that this is a 3 min video.
Thank you
This looks so damn good 🤤
Thank you for sharing guys.Merry Christmas to both of you and your family when it comes.🎄🎄👏❤️
Yummmm! Love these quick, easy recipes. Plus I have been needing some sauce/dressing/dip ideas. Thanks! Happy new year!

Thank you guys, I like your rustic, simple, yet delicious ideas. Great lads!
There's plenty of classic Italian dishes that are "Vegan" - But what's the problem with using Olive Oil?!
Exactly
Nothing. Some ppl just prefer no oil. It’s all about preference.
M R Cashews are full of oil though, so I don’t think that is the reason for this recipe
I think some just don't like the flavour of olive oil
Matilda Because olive oil is processed and using raw cashews is not
I love you guys so much. found you today and ur so wholesome
For a low carb option use the shirataki noodles (tofu noodles).
The colour is amazing!
Wait what’s the rational behind gluten free for people who don’t need to be gluten free ?
There is none.
Looks delicious. My mom makes the traditional red bell pepper sauce and we have two vegans in the house so I’m definitely going to show this to her!!!

I made this recipe and it was amazing!!! Worth it!
why... why didn't he used a spoon to add the "spoon" of garlic powder?
Another recipe that I'm looking forward to trying (if I can find cheap cashews here in the US - you guys must get a great rate on them). Either or, finding your channel has really transformed my diet this year. Having to cut out soy completely has been THE challenge, but you two have truly made my life so much easier - no hyperbole. Merry Yule to you and your family!
Thank you!!!
Delighted thanks a mill 👍🏼😄
I made this for my family it was delicous, I left the sauce a little chunky and it was delicous, I added fresh garlic and ginger to the sauce and chickpeas and spinach with the final product it was great no leftovers :)
Beautiful, vegan cooking men with an Irish accent. First time seeing them 😛
you guys are lovely! thank you for reminding us how easy delicious food can be xxx
the easiest vegan pasta sauce is tomato sauce: tomato, onion, basil. 3 ingredients
that are u talking about dudes?
silvia costanzo have you made this? It rocks.
@@LadeneD I m sure! I would definitely try this recipe!
dont forget the garlic and olive oil my dude , still simple tho =]

Why is gluten free pasta healthier?
some people have celiac disease. some people show as gluten sensitive from their blood tests. Gluten promotes inflammation in the body. Some say it affects your body in many negative ways. Even gives people depression. Try going gluten free for a week and you will notice that your joints feel better with less stiffness. Going gluten free is not that easy though. Wheat seems to be in everything from your vitamin pills to soy sauce.

gluten contains indigestible protiens and zonulin which acts to dialate your intestinal walls allowing bad things into your bloodstream or something I was half watching a presentation on it, a quick search on youtube youll find plenty presentations
