I just went to LA comic con yesterday and as I was walking around I saw Devon, Daniel, and Lindsey! I didn’t know they were gonna be there! I lit up like a Christmas tree! They were all so NICE and Friendly! These 3 individuals are my childhood. I thank them for being there!
Guys don't be so hard on yourselves about the live shows, there are so many moving parts behind the scenes that half or most of us couldn't comprehend, as long as everyone gets refunded, no harm done, keep going with the pod and do what you can, not what you think you should do or what you think you should be able to do. Thank you for another Wednesday!
This one I really resonated with. I am a musician. That’s where my heart lies. I used to really like my job but 2024 has taken a hard left turn there. Literally every Friday I’m like “oh boy I can’t wait to do this for another 35 years”. I hate that I give a 3rd of my life, my youth, my energy to someone I can’t stand. It’s drives me insane and has made me hard depresso.
I thought having a podcast with a company instead of independent would stifle y’all. Loved when the pod first came out and slowly saw a shift in energy from you guys! Stay awesome and thank you for the honesty ❤️😝
You guys helped me navigate adolescence and now adulthood. How cool is it that we're all on this journey of life together?! Thanks for the tips guys! 😄
I remember from this episode that Ned’s tip was to make Mondays a fun day by doing something different like going out, go to a play or a concert. I have put in practice this tip since years ago and it has worked great for me! Thanks guy for the tips and cheers
I know you guys are doing conventions now but *HEAR ME OUT* yall should see about doing *Ned’s Pod Live* at the ones you get invited to. It’d be a great way to get an episode out at almost no cost to you guys
I work 7 days in a row and then I'm off for 7 days. It's a good schedule because you can take a vacation or schedule your appointments and your schedule doesn't change much. 7 days in a row can be tough sometimes but you can always look forward to the time off.
I love Mondays having a 9 to 5 job! For context, I can't stand Fridays! Even though it's payday, I hate Fridays for a fact considering who wants to work Friday?!
I work retail, and yeah it absolutely sucks sometimes, but my store has the most amazing culture and people.; so most of the time, it's not the job for me, but the obligation. Like, if I won the lottery, and could work there (or not) whenever I wanted to, I probably still would, but the fact that I HAVE to go is what makes me not want to.
There are studies that have seen that 4 days work weeks will increase productivity. So will healthcare and PTO. But CEOs rather not spend that money, because increased productivity doesn't give them instant gratification, meaning increased profit immediately.
I feel like someone working, going home for a few hours, and coming back sounds horrible. Think about having a break in a school day. You'd feel like you're always on.
But the soul crushing jobs pay sooooo well. Customer facing positions almost always pay better. Sales is grueling but the money is delectable. It’s like getting a free hot tub but there’s a turd in it.
I appreciate the transparency, but a cancellation notice for a podcast live tour should not have been announced on the literal first day of the tour. You had no problem announcing it on a livestream and it would have taken no effort to put out a short video that the tour fell through. Emotional toll, new business models, etc are all ultimately excuses. Your fans were paying you money and they deserve the common decency to be informed about this stuff.
Really enjoyed this episode and this pod. The for further instructions pod. PLL true crime podcast Y’all are amazing people and totally relatable. Hope you all have a wonderful day and that goes for my fellow ned heads as well.
A different perspective on the 9-5 talk. The focus on productivity is NOT in benefit of the workers. A good 50% of white caller jobs are pretty redundant- we dint want these people to lose their roles and make competition in the other sectors to skyrocket. Literally everything would become extremely hyper competitive. The ability to make yourself LOOK busy, but use company time for yourself and your persuits is ABSOLUTELY the way to go for our generation wanting to use the social contract to our benefit. When you get into a role like the one Lindsey had- you need to have the tough conversation- find out what you want and then pursuit it, while using that job as a means to feed yourself. I used a 9-5 to travel the world, party my fucking ass off, and take drugs in moshpits while earning 3 promotions. I wasn't a good worker, I was a good corporate actor. That is the true a good number of people know- but dont say outloud risking their cashcow. Thats how you WORK the 9-5 system. At the end of the day- we don't have any other system for a large majority of americans- if you think your dream jobs are hard now- wait til millions of americans lose their redundant jobs and go after yours. Corporate 9-5 are really just floodgates. I dont hate the pod just giving a different perspective. Love the vibe and energy ya bring to my Wednesdays. Hopefully these tips help other entering the workforce!
You can do a live and have people pay to go online! I watch Murder Makeup and Mystery with Bailey Sarian and she never does lives so she finally is doing one and it’s 15 per ticket to go to the live and 5 for the after party. Best 20 bucks I ever spent. I would definitely do the same here as well ❤❤❤❤
Honestly… it’s unrealistic maybe but if there was a way to work for 5 days then u get the next work week of that be the best. I guess the only thing a person can really do is have ambitious and work helps u get to your goal. It would be dope though to work five days every other week.
@@JR_Donofrio I don't mind them talking about their lives but I like the show being a jumping off point. The show is why they're doing the podcast so they should talk about it. They already slowed progress down with question episodes very often. If the topics are what people actually care about based on the comments, let them go through the whole show and let's see how many are still watching.
Ok I've been holding back but no matter who does the recap every other word is "ummmmmm" I love your podcast but the overuse of ummmmmm completely takes me out of everything
It's crazy how bad this channel fell off. If y'all kept the rewatch episodes going or at least label which will be then maybe you would get more views. Thats why I stopped watching most episodes. I like the old format way better.
I can’t believe after all that’s happen yall are still playing victim you didn’t get sabotaged you got what u deserved. Yall thought u could be bullies and get away with it when no.

Something about Devon is just so comforting. I love hearing him speak.
Lindsey always makes me smile. "If it vibrates turn it on" 😅😍
Her feet is all what is good in life 😌

Love this podcast. It’s the best
Austin probably has a lot of millennials that would love to see you guys live!

Hello Ned’s crew!! ❤️❤️❤️
You guys should consult with Real Good Touring to see about setting up tours. The company was made specifically for content creators doing tours

As a custodian Gordy was pretty accurate of a custodian
I forgot today was Wednesday. This week is flying by
I know it sounds crazy but if we recreated the calendar to have an 8 day week, I think it would help with burn out. 5 days on, 3 days off.
22:00 amazing segue XD

Don't reel Lindsey in. We need her chaos.
BEST READ EVER❤
Please come to either a Michigan or Indiana convention so I can finally meet y'all! ❤

I kind of see where Devin is speaking from. I’ve had Mondays off for almost 5 years now so that’s just another lazy Sunday to me haha
I don't care if Mondays blue
Tuesdays Grey and Wednesdays too! 💙💙
Please come to the Bay Area!! My partner and I would buy tickets in a heart beat! :)
it just goes to shows you he really could've caught the weasel if he had the proper motivation
Come to Boston for the tour
But the soul crushing jobs pay sooooo well. Customer facing positions almost always pay better. Sales is grueling but the money is delectable. It’s like getting a free hot tub but there’s a turd in it.
I suggest, try to have a job with Mondays off at least once in your life. It’s so nice to go slow when you know everyone else is starting up,
The episode starts at 0:22

I hope all the tour people who bought tickets got refunded.
Working is def soul sucking without the right co workers
What's wrong with putting VR headsets on cows?
Mondays are not my days
Luckily it's Wednesday
You refunded people for the live show, right?
lolol
You could watch TV shows if you have all that free time.
The Adult Guide To Surviving Mondays | Ep 86*
But today is wednesday 😢
Omg I really want Lindsey shirt wear can I buy it
So are you just done reviewing episodes or
Exactly what I was thinking before this one.
They don’t do a rewatch every week because if they did, they would be done in 3 months, I like their format and style now.

I love the irony of this comment being left on a literal rewatch episode lol
Honestly you should of told people sooner. This is some bs but itll pass. Wish you the best still.

Please don't forget to go back and rewatch the Video Projects episode, you guys skipped it.
