One thing I love about this episode is that it starts a trend where they move away from just school-related topics to stuff that you can apply in adult life, such as the next two episodes, "Your body" and "Procrastination" as well as other episodes like "Money", "Fundraising", "Volunteering", "Stress", etc. And it makes you wish they would have a Ned's Declassified reboot focused on the adult world.
3:09 love the obscure Al Jolson reference when Gordy said how i love ya is from jolsons song called mammy Edit: I made a little mistake actually it's from his song Suwanee
It’s crazy to me that out of all the things Gordy should’ve been fired for in the past, the one thing that DOES almost get him fired is simply sleeping! 😂
Once again it has been a pleasure to rewatch this classic here with you and to hear your principal commentary. Wow, we got quite a lot of Gordy this episode! He was always one of my favorites, even if we do have to fire him constantly! As always I'll be looking forward to the next episode. Cheers!
I hate bloody Mondays, certain days are one of those days where you don’t want to get out of bed or get out of whatever you’re in. You kinda wish every second Monday you would get the day off, perfect 4 day weekend, good video Brandon
I had an elective in high school called Writing for TV and Film, (We Called it WTF lol)... Basically we learned the structure of how most movies are written. In that class we mostly watched popular movies and afterwards tried to fit the film into the structure we learned. It was an interesting class that only lasted a few years before they got rid of it.
If I were Crubbs and I found out that Gordy has this sleeping problem, I would try to get rid of the bird that's keeping him awake rather than fire him, and also try my best to hide it from a higher power so that THEY don't fire him.
Mondays can be tough. It's the end of a relaxing and fun weekend, then you go back to school or work which starts another grueling week. But that's life for most people, we are always tired at the start and sometimes don't feel like going, but we have to. There are things you can do mkae things better. I like to listen to music on my Ipod while riding the bus, and sometimes have a nice breakfast when I get up in the morning.
As useful as it is for keeping him awake, I don’t think it’s a good idea for Gordy to have a birdcage on his head with two birds inside because if he tilts his head too much, the birds could feel trapped inside and try flying to safety, which could potentially damage his ears because he’d have to listen to their constant flapping a lot.
11:22 I have a feeling that Cookie used defibrillators to shock Gordy, which is very risky and irresponsible; defibrillators should only be used on people with serious heart-related problems, such as a cardiac arrest or low heart rate.
11:41 I didn’t see the name of a month indicated on the calendar, but if it really has been four weeks since the start of the month, that wouldn’t be correct because Lincoln was born on February 12th.
The craziest thing abou this is that it carries over in the work world. I’ve known people who had tried to greet people in the morning and they will tell them to not talk to them until noon. I’ve turned into a morning person and I always shan’t to talk to people when they spend the night at my house. One person is really good but I don’t think he is a morning person. LOL But he doesn’t growl at me LOL
2:19 Oh, so that's why they took those hallway bathroom doors off, by the way, it is possible for a monkey to get into a school, house or hotel in my country in certain specific places.
I always hated Mondays when I was in school, I was the tried one. I had to help my mom with her weekend errands. It would eat up my whole day because I didn't get to do what I wanted to do it resulted in me dreading Mondays.
My school i remember had a school store on the 1st floor sold coffee, slushy, cookies, and some other stuff and i think even school branded clothing, but not sure on that, i never went there. Interestingly our Culinary arts teacher got permission from our principal to open another store in the Culinary dining room since due to the layout Culinary is located in the old cafeteria snd many elective along with 9th grade classes which had thete own hall in the old building where father frpm the original school store especially the 9th graders. The store was never open normally when I had Culinary unless we had alternate schedule near our breaks.
There was a Cousin Skeeter episode I don’t remember the name but it would be perfect it involved the sister and she was trying to get her drivers license Big Man on Campus I believe.
Obviously, there are commonly kids who fall asleep due to lack of engagement in school, but did you ever have to deal with kids who fall asleep because they just were not able to get enough sleep at home?
I never minded Mondays too much, though it definitely depends on the week. Would love if my one of my schools had a monkey. There was a chinchilla in my high school's companion animals class though, which was cool, and I got to bring my cat to class one day as a prop for one of my projects.
Mondays for me during highschool were always tiresome because all the good tv shows aired around 9/10 pm EST and I wouldn't sleep until midnight. Also, Mondays were the days my IB classes would have a new lesson, and would have an assignment/ assessment on Wednesday based on that lesson
I really like this episode we explore a lot more than just school starting here and I think that was an amazing choice it’s a lot be goofier than some of the other ones but I still really like it can’t wait for the next 2 episodes they’re lots of fun. I also love seeing the trio stick up for Gordie he’s a really fun guy and I’d hate to see him go
Hello There Sir Principal Brandon! I Don't Know How This Will Sound But If A High School Student Were To For Example Take A Ham And Cheese Sub From Subway To School For Lunch Because That Can Be Eaten Cold And A Worker At The School Saw Him Eating That Would The Worker Be Like You Can't Ear Fast Food Food Here Or Would It Depend Sir Principal Brandon?!
This was always such a relatable episode. Next episode I look forward to is Procrastination which should be soon, that was also very relatable and gave good advice. Stuff I want you to watch would be the hey Arnold episode Curly snaps, or the amazing world of gumball episode The sweaters. The sweaters I’m curious how you’d react to the things the teachers do in that one
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts also I’m no health expert but how would Cookies Awake master even detect a heart rate below 50? Also I’m pretty sure that ‘Mild shock’ would send Gordy in to cardiac arrest.
If you want to see the toll gordys incompetence leaves on the poor night guy check out goosebumps phantom of the auditorium 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 (Ok so this really is 95% a joke but it IS about students trying to put on a school play 🤷♂️ )

"Take out summer break, Monday holidays, and two more for Spring and winter break, that leaves only 35 Mondays to survive."
Me who works now: If only.
"What if I catch the monkey?" My dude, don't you have a weasel to catch first?
My theory is that Crubbs knew Gordy was sleeping but because the floor was being mopped he couldn't say he wasn't doing his job.
Boy Ned and Garfield would get along great.
Also, right! That is Mr. Quest who plays Lincoln.
I thought he sounded awfully familiar!!!
Who plays Benedict Arnold?
I'm not quite sure 😕 🤔
Both Lincoln and Mr. Kwest are played by Dave Allen.
@@tylerdenaro3365 Mark Fite played him
Mr. Monroe is the life science teacher so I assume a movie about monkeys can technically be connected to life science lol
But it's the Life Science Teacher
3:09 love the obscure Al Jolson reference when Gordy said how i love ya is from jolsons song called mammy

The Gordy firing list is hilarious 😂
😎👍
"You can't sleep on the job" Just wait until the Stress episode.
Lol sounds good 😂
I knew, Your "Gordy Potential Firing" List Will increase
Yep! 😂
"The assistant principal would be in charge of the custodian" Just wait until the career week episode.

Thanks! Enjoyed it!
On a side note, pay attention to Crubbs saying, "You’re fired!" Cuz he says that quote A LOT throughout the season even to Students. Lol
*takes off sunglasses*
You're fired!

Thanks 😊
16:25 I noticed the similarity between those two names (Krupp and Crubbs) as well.
Oh my God! You're right! It's the same actor as Mr. Kwest. He plays Abraham Lincoln.
Also, we watch movies non-related to class all the time.
Yeah, they probably should’ve thought of a better name lol. 😂
If I were Crubbs and I found out that Gordy has this sleeping problem, I would try to get rid of the bird that's keeping him awake rather than fire him, and also try my best to hide it from a higher power so that THEY don't fire him.
The matzah ball thing was one of the most random things on the show
Yes indeed lol

Ned's Shoulder Angel: Abraham Lincoln
Ned's Shoulder Devil: Benedict Arnold
Yes! 👍 🇺🇸
The most historic version of the devil and angel. And that's the truth.

VICE Principal Crubbs fanclub here!
It would be cool by the end of this whole series to reveal the total potential fireings that Gordy got
Yes!
How many is he up to so far?
my mom used to work at my high school and she didn't pass out coffee on Mondays but she would pass out hot chocolate and muffins to other students
2:19 Oh, so that's why they took those hallway bathroom doors off, by the way, it is possible for a monkey to get into a school, house or hotel in my country in certain specific places.
My theory is that Mr. Monroe is also their homeroom teacher, and so he was showing the movie in homeroom, not life science.
Who’s ready for cookie to get attacked by senior citizens playing golf?
Yes that was pretty funny 😂
What episode was that again?
I think Abraham Lincoln would definitely have pronounced it "popp-ed corn."
That monkey scene reminded me of the 1982 Peter Gabriel hit, “Shock the Monkey” lol
Lincoln and I share the same birthday. :) That's another Monday funday fact. :D
Cool!
I always hated Mondays when I was in school, I was the tried one. I had to help my mom with her weekend errands. It would eat up my whole day because I didn't get to do what I wanted to do it resulted in me dreading Mondays.
I used to have a teacher who would just play movies some day for no reason so many times
Idk how she still had a job
Wow that’s crazy 😮
reminds me of the movie called bad teacher

Imagine Garfield watching this. After all, he hates Mondays.
Yes! 😂
12:03 Mr.Wright Is the History teacher.
And besides i think thats Study Hall hour😊
Yeah, I remember saying that because it appeared to be a different teacher in the room for that subject.
What I always wondered is how were they not able to catch the monkey for 3 weeks 🤔🤔🤔
I wonder if Gordy could get relocation assistance... 😅 That is one noisy bluebird.
Obviously, there are commonly kids who fall asleep due to lack of engagement in school, but did you ever have to deal with kids who fall asleep because they just were not able to get enough sleep at home?
Yes.
I remember being really tired on most Mondays at school
Plenty of coffee from the faculty room will do the trick for a sleepy janitor
Yes! ☕️

About the movie at the end, I think that’s the same font that Disney uses and I always thought that Disney trademark that font
Yes lol 😂

LMAO I just noticed how it’s obvious a puppet 5:48
10:12 and yeah I’m impressed with how good of an animatronic it is
Yeah not bad.
Yes especially when it doesn’t even move when Mose pulls it off of Ned’s face lol. 😂
Schools have also made mondays more tolerable by giving Fridays off. Just wish they did that when i was going to school.
I bet if Ned would here Spongebob sing "Thank Gosh Is Monday", he'd kill him
Lol 😂
12:00 I’m pretty sure they’re in study hall.
Maybe react to The Incredibles movie scenes like Bob hating his job at InsuraCare & Dash at the principal's office

This is something that is very different from school to school, so it would depend on local school policy. 👍
