Great job man, it turned out really nicely!
I Like To Make Stuff Thanks! Can't wait for your version!
i find it funny how one of you does a basic build that still looks physically appealing but not the best and puts a windows 8 pc in it but the other gets custom everything from custom Vinyl graphics to custom topper thing yet puts a raspberry pi in it
are you going to make one!?😊
+TheGeekPub hey man love your video and was wondering about the software on the arcades machine. Not so much on how to install it but how it loads up. What I mean is I saw you put a main power switch on top of the he arcade cabinet. If you turn it off the computer inside should go off right? but if you turn it back on does it load windows 8 and then you have to tell it to run the software or does it just load the software automatically like an arcade cabinet would.
It will boot straight into your emulator menu from which you can select various platforms to select games from. Depending on which software your arcade is running on depends on the visual menu's you get.
One small tip I have about working with acrylic, that shit is a dust loving static monster. I just lightly run a dryer sheet over acrylic and the static charge goes away. Working in a shop full of various dusts and even the cat hair stuck to my clothes is so frustrating and a cheap dryer sheet saves a major headache.
This is really great overview of making an arcade cabinet. Thank you for creating this.
Great video series, thanks for putting it on RUclips!
Great work sir, much respect from Italy! Cheers
Man I'm impressed. This thing is awesome.
You did a fantastic job on this!!
This is freaking awesome! Off to watch parts 1 and 2! Backwards I am
Absolutely brilliant - very envious
very awesome build!
Nice work man looks great
Awesome work. You are one Gifted man...wonderful gift you have with carpentry.
Thanks for the video, you've helped me a lot, and the cabinet looks Great! I want to build a slot machine, but wasn't sure about the cabinet, and you've given me many ideas, Thank you!
Mate that is awesome, i'm going to build one myself very soon, great tips and the best i've seen yet. Well done mate.
awesome videos, very impressive, and you're a talented guy .
looks great.
Awesome project! I'm glad that your going to do a follow up on the project, especially going over the mistakes, we don't see a lot of vids going over the mistakes. I think it greatly benefits us novices.
+kripsak Thank you! There will be at least one, maybe two more videos on this project. Within the next 30 days.
This is freaking awesome!
Total awesomeness!!!!!
Love it love it seen this and had to build my self a bartop and I’m loving it thanks for all the helpful videos 👌🏻🕹👌🏻🕹
Yes! Episode 3! Love it! Very cool man. Can't wait to see the software install vids. So awesome.
rylch44 Anything specific you want to see or learn about?
I've always wanted to build a cabinet. Loved all your builds. I am a gamer at heart but my grandfather taught me to build. So this one is my favorite. The emulators you find would be cool. I'm kind of computer geeky at times so I can figure out the install. Where did you get your side decals?
rylch44 Game on Graphix.
love all your videos
Just letting you know that your videos are awesome
👍🏻Awesome job man,, loved it,, amazingly brilliant,,, I would really love to build it, but some of the parts like joystick & switches & the connector board are not available in my country,, I love wood work,so wishes will stay in waiting list,,,
Fantastic build. I like that Space Invaders Theme. I do the T-Molding notch trick too. : )
Awesome video and machine..wow
Awesome job .. 👍
Your videos are great, I would love to be able to build an arcade machine awesome job keep up the good work
This is really amazing . I think I need to try to work on one

Can't wait to build my own this year! :D

Thanks so much!
Dude, love your videos!
All is LosT Thanks for your kind words!
Easily one of the best arcade machine builds I've seen.
+linea Man! Thanks for the kind comment!
Great job on this. Subscribed! Would like to see more in depth on the arcade machine - electronics and setting it up etc.
+chiparooo It's on my list!
Great work! Very cool : )
Looks great!
CMR Woodworks | Chris McDowell Thanks buddy!
this is awesome!
Just one word: AMAZING! Thanks for sharing ;-)
Great job.
Wow, awesome build...
really cool! you have inspired me to build my own when I move into my new house in a few weeks. I would love to see a video on the software setup sometime. subbed
Okay but howd it go?
Wow great work! This inspires me to give it a try building my own cabinet rather than paying $2700 ($3200 with shipping) for a prebuilt machine from one of the companies you mentioned in part 1 of this series. You earned a subscriber. Thanks!
Glad to have you as a fan!
Thanks so much! I feel like I can really make this. I just gotta acquire the tools and supplies.
Great build mate, really neat and tidy job you've done, ive almost finished building one myself, i just need to cover it and get the light guns, :-)
Nice job buddy. You are awesome. It will be my next project :-)
Thanks Nice Arcade Machine
Hi mike
even tho I've finished my own cabinet I still find myself returning to your arcade cabinet videos,
their a pleasure to watch along with all the other ones Clear and straight to the point.have you follow up video to come?
.showing more emulators on your cabinet?
Thanks Brian
+dubsskyline It's on my list. Hopefully soon.
Amigo you are a genius, That finished arcade is fantastic I would like to know if you sell these things.
This looks great! I'd have to make a taller one (or maybe a seated or Bartop model) as standard sized cabs are a bit short at 6'4"
Nice DIY Arcade Cabinet, I did one using my modded XBOX and a X- Arcade 2 Player and its as fun but not as fun as a PC based CPU on my next one I do will be PC based and has every console and arcade game on it. Thanks for the upload. :)
Oh man! THIS is so cool!!!
Make Something Thanks buddy! It was my favorite project ever. :-)
I got my sticker!! Thanks man! Keep making awesome stuff!!
Wonderful
About how much did all the parts cost
You rock dude that was amazing! i would love to have spare cash to do what you did with the arcade machine totally grate vid thanks.
Fantastic
Awesome video. Do people have arcade meets where they show off machines and custom cabs? It could be an inspiration for competition and finishing/improving our builds.
Early 70's, small town Minnesota, ONE GAME: PONG. Nice job on your box. - Annie
SuperYtviewer Ewwww!! I never liked pong. I know a lot of people did, but it was just so boring to me. I feel the same way about break-out.
TheGeekPub Oh. Sorry
Fun fact. Pong was on Lynyrd Skynyrd's plane that crashed. I'll leave out the details about how it was heavy and not tied down
After seeing the 1up Arcade for sale at the local toystore for €400 I thought "how hard could it be to build one?"... now I've binge-watched your whole channel and I'll probably just stump up the €400 😂 amazing work you're doing man. Keep it up :)
1 year on and I'm still watching the whole series again 😂 my girlfriend did in the end buy me an Arcade1up for my birthday so 😁 I'm still looking to build my own though!
that is awesome!!!!!!!!!
Great build!!! (Makers and Shakers ... )
+Andy Blackman Awesome! Thanks so much!
Thanks, planning to build one for me using a pandora's box system...
its work thank you
This is pretty awesome. I like the graphics and such on it. The only thing that confuses me is that the first player is on the right instead of the left.
It literally takes 5 seconds to switch sides, software or hardware ways to do it. I much prefer it like this though, since you stand directly in front of the box, instead off to the side. Since you play single player 99% of the time.
awesome
Also a few materials that can be used for marquees: Glass,Plexi Glass,Acrylic and Plastic, and I dont know why I capitalised everything. :P
Would it be good if you install the PC parts diretcly into the machine, without the computer case, thanks, great video as always!
Wow, you're an amazing crafter. I can't wait to make my own ! Can I ask you how much did you spent for the whole thing ?
Awesome build. I would leave the Marquis as is with Space Invaders. It's more authentic as Space Invaders was one of the first out there. In later years Arcade owners would re-program the games and leave the old game graphics as is. So in a sense, your arcade game is closer to the real thing that was out there.
If you're keeping it at home I think it would be really cool to change the marquee to your geekpub logo.
+Shawn Brown I actually have one for it. ;-)
wooooow thanks man that machine is awesome, i hope can do someone like it. It is the Best video of built Arcade n,n
+david perez Thanks!
I was going to make one but i think I will try make one thanks!!!!!!!!
That spot in the front of the CP, looks bare :) Looks like it needs some art :D
thanks bud
looks great man! I should do a video on my cocktail build! I hand stained it Pecan with real oak wood.
id watch that dude
I took photos along the way but never took video! or at least I don't think i did lol
extendedplayarcade damn. Real shame but props to you for taking the time to make one man!
not sure if this link will go through but here is an old forum i added my photos too forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,111822.msg1185917.html#msg1185917
extendedplayarcade that looks so nice man!
should i gut out my sky adventure and make it a mame? or should i get the 900 in one jamma? what do u guys think?
Nice job. But for others following this I would say be careful of sharp corners for fitting that t moulding. A 2 inch radius is fine. It helps.
You should do a air hockey tutorial
Respond to me if you think it's a good idea
I like the graphics, reminds me of the old Tomorrowland arcade, RIP.
I think if I ever build a cabinet, I'll make it like a foot taller than a normal one, I'm 6'2 and I hate doing that slouchy thing.
Cool project where could I get my marquee printed
Links in description.
I would be interested in see a video on the software end.
+thadrine Working on that!
Would like really good if you put onscreen overlays and shaders
MASTER
Good job, the only thing that bugs me is that you have the p1 and p2 inverted.
I prefer it that way., but its a 2 second change to swap them.
good very good
I'm soooo looking forward to building ours! Husband will cut the cabinet and I'll do the rest :)
How did it go? The biggest nightmare for me was routing. I even got the router bit from Geek Pub, but it got hot, twisted, and dulled super fast :( Made a big mess, and wouldn't cut straight. I basically am going to have to glue my T-molding to the thing to save it.
The other big issues were trying to figure out the angle of the screen, where the speakers go (Mike doesn't cover that very well in the videos) and also hanging the cabinet door was a real challenge for me.
@@TheDarkHour684 we have been sidetracked by real life. I have everything I need I just need the time to cut and build it.
@@TheDarkHour684 heck I can’t even believe I posted this a year ago. Life goes fast and if you blink you miss it - Ferris Bueller
Are there templates to trace out the side walls? I noticed you just freehanded it
I'm glad to see a Arcade Machine created from pc; remember it is a video game as a Arcade Machine as a nintendo 64 video tape;
Is the marquee and graphics in the plans if not could you tell me where I could get them thanks
Check out the article on my website.
How would I get the graphics? Are they in your kit
Awesome build. Here is a goofy random question. How come you did not put a bezel on the monitor?
I liked the flat appearance and is the very reason I used a glass edge to edge display.
I wish i could do that. Ive tried.
Awesome. I'm jealous. Is there any way to share the measurements, etc.?
+Rui Tavora All of the that is available on my website.
+TheGeekPub I just found your plans for $9.99. didn't see that before. Thanks any way.
I think it would be cool if one side panel is Space Invaders and the other side panel Pac-Man. The marque, bezel and front panel could be half and half with both games!
Awesome! :) Wish I could make such arcade cabinet too, but it would only end in disaster.
Maria Engström You never know till you try! :-)
And even if you fail, you will gain the experience to try it again and better
Do you have any video on how to set up MAME and the front end loader? Not too sure on what type of computer I need to purchase to set up my own home arcade once I build it? Any advice would truly be appreciated. Thank you so much!
+Jonathan Grant No. It is on my list to make one though!
Please let me know as soon as that video is up. It is my dream to have my own arcade set up just like yours but feel over my head when it comes to setting up the Mame program. Look forward to your video soon.
You should swap out the marquee decal with an LED matrix or similar so you can pipe the marquee art to it for the game that you're playing
This is actually something I considered but ran out of time. I may revisit it someday.
@@TheGeekPub Sweet! I actually bought your plans for the stand-up cabinet. I'm a first-time builder so I'm a bit confused by a few things. Is it cool if I send you an email with a couple of questions?
There's a support link to send questions on the contact us page.
That noise when you put in the coin is familiar... Sounds like you didn't have a tray to accept to coin. Did you put in something later?
Yep. I added a cool little removable tray and latch system a few months after the video.
Do you make these for customers?
Fucking marvelous! Well played sir.
where did you get the games?
