    Dude I LOVE this! So awesome! The Soda can theme is so freaking cool haha. I met you after your first video on the Arcade machine. It's so nice to see it come to fruition. I'm very impressed with your work on this. The paint came out well. It looks awesome! I thought the Pokémon splash screen looked really good. I wanted to see some more gameplay of Pokémon haha. but I am biased of course! I love Pokémon. Maybe one day, I can be the one to get you a spare PC for better graphics haha. That would be something wouldn't it. Great video bro! I love the story and narration over it. I can't wait to see what you do next.

    I just purchased this kit from LP1. I’m very excited for it to arrive. The videos from your build are great and I’ll be using them for reference. Did you ever experiment with adding a light gun?

    I missed the 1st and 2nd part so I will look at them now. Looks like a cool cabinet though. I keep saying I'm going to build me some bartops but still haven't got around to it 😆. I want a cabinet for each console so the button layout matches the console. It dorsnt make since to a lot of people but it does to me 😆. Then I can just jump from cabinet to cabinet depending on what i want to play and it also allows others to play different cabinets at the same time.

    Do you feel the need to put any fans on the cabinet for cooling. I am almost doing the exact same build and wasn’t sure if it was necessary. Also did you think about plexi over the screen or are you happy with the monitor the way it is. Looks awesome btw. Hope mine turns out that nice

    • @BelowAverageGaming
      @BelowAverageGaming  Год назад +1

      Nope the pi by itself is pretty cool so no need for extra cooling, I've left it on for over a day with no issues.
      Plexi over the screen wasn't needed in my case but I think that's strictly a preference

    Will you ever make a video about the light guns ?

  • @whoopdiddydo
    @whoopdiddydo 4 месяца назад

    Dumb question incoming. Since you applied the artwork to the sides was the painting the sides unnecessary?
    Also, could you have cut a bezel to size and then used Velcro to attach it to the monitor?
    Great video.

    • @BelowAverageGaming
      @BelowAverageGaming  4 месяца назад

      The painting was totally a necessary, I think I mentioned that in the video. My original idea was to paint it blue and just leave it like that and then I decided it was too bland after I did it and then that's when I decided to do artwork
      I will say though making the sides nice and smooth will benefit the adhesion of the artwork anyways
      I'm not sure how that would work about the bezel, but I'm definitely sure if you can think it, you can do it.

    What hardware and software would you use if you wanted to do games like street fighter, mortal kombat, etc? (you mentioned the Raspberry Pi woudln't be ideal) Thanks!

      @@BelowAverageGaming thanks. Any advice on what software to use? Would love something that automatically boots into the multicade when turned on.

    • @BelowAverageGaming
      @BelowAverageGaming  Месяц назад +1

      I personally love Street fighter, I've been a big street fighter 4 fan since it was released. Since the connection is really two USB ports and an HDMI, I will plug a slightly older PC. I have lying around into the arcade machine and just run the fighting games off of steam (mortal Kombat x, Street fighter, King of fighters and so on)
      To my knowledge, there's not really a software that looks like the retro pi for more modern looking games, usually it's just for the " retro games"
      But if you're looking for less graphically intense games, like Street fighter 3 and down, a raspberry pi 4 or 5 would be sufficient

      @@BelowAverageGaming Yes- Street fighter 3 range is what I'm looking for! Better than atari, but not as good as a current system. Basically looking for graphics up through playstation 2.
