The Murray bros attention to detail when it comes to either their builds or restorations on computers are simply exquisite. Man I wish I could have a cab and a vintage PC done by em. I'd have to get a place with more room tho. 😂

That pneumatic nailgun really made me appreciate just how much hammering carpenters used to have to do until recently. Even sped-up, it’s clearly much simpler, easier, and more reliable. I used to think blacksmithing had to involve the most hammering pre-industrial revolution, but now I’m not so sure!

I've been doing carpentry of one form or another since 1987. You make it look very easy, I love how you hit the highpoints, there is a lot of good info compressed in this.

You can use a latex/water based primer with the All Surface Enamel oil you have, I worked at Sherwin Williams for over 10 years, Just about any of the "ProBlock" latex based primers will work and seal the MDF. You could also use XIM or All Surface Enamel water based.
1) Never use Latex on arcades. 2) Latex outgases and causes vinyl to bubble. 3) ProBlock is terrible for arcades because vinly refuses to stick to it. 4) Go to rule 1
@@TheGeekPub My point was, you claimed there was no oil based primer so the MDF was soaking up the ASE oil. You can prime with latex and topcoat with the All Surface Enamel Oil. That way the surface is sealed and the ASE coats better. If the top coat is All Surface Enamel Satin Oil like you have now I see no reason it should be any different for the vinyl to stick, ProBlock comes in several varieties including oil if you must, and also a bonding primer like XIM.

I tapped on this link that came up, I follow David's channel but forgot he has a brother with a channel too 🤦 I kept looking and saying to myself "woah! David has changed" 😮 have I missed a few updates? You both look and sound so much alike but with a few differences, and I was so confused as to who I was watching... My dad was a carpenter and i think he would have approved the wuality in this. Yes he was more the roof or winter garden builder and less the furniture man but he always said, go slow and do it once, rushing the job will only have you come back fixing it up later. I wish he was still around, so many cool things could have been built. Anyway , really like the craftsmanship eventhough im less of an arcade player and more just a pc gamer 🥰

It's fun to see more traditional techniques. I have a small shop, and rely on my CNC for a lot of the work I do. Sometimes I still do work the traditional way. In some ways it's more satisfying. Smart idea using your large format printer. I also purchased one for shop work. I also have made few arcade cabinets, and like your front hinge solution.

Amen, driving nails requires lots of muscle memory and the proper hammer. It's amazing how hard it is to drive a nail with the wrong hammer.

A code based save system might be a cool feature to implement (if possible) on the arcade machine in the future.

By far, one of, if not thé neatest, of these Arcade Game builds, I have seen, on RUclips.
