Dude you killed it. I rarely post but felt compelled to tell how impressed I am. This is awesome. Love the design, love the speed (I know, editing and stuff) and I love how you're putting this together in such a small place with sheet goods. Makes me feel like complaining a lot less and doing a lot more.

I get what you're saying but in all honesty, you can build a cabinet basically just like this with a simple saw and probably a sander. It doesn't have to be quite as "complicated "as this may seem.
You're just cutting and nailing a few wooden boards together. Sure, some of the tools he used may make things slightly easier, but very nothing that couldn't be done with very simple /basic tools just about anyone would have in the garage.
Don't let some of the "fancy" tools intimidate you. Woodworking is a very simple and ancient thing that's been done for thousands of years, LITERALLY... lol

This is awesome. After seeing your shop tour, I really appreciate how you make use of the space you have, and use tools that most people have or can purchase - i.e. all the cuts with your circular saw. Really challenges me to stop complaining that I don't have the right tools.

I watched this video years ago but recently become enthralled with arcade stuff and wanting to build my own arcade cabinet. Looking through a bunch of videos recently on how to build cabinets and stuff like that..... with all those extra shelves you put in you should be ashamed of yourself 😅🤣... but I understand the utility of it. I'm also in the process of coming up with an "ultimate design" for a 4 player setup And not gonna lie it is super f****** difficult 😅. I will say this though, this video put it in my mind 5 years ago that I could build my own arcade cabinet! And people reading this comment (watching this vid) you can do it too!... Take your time and come up with your own design, research the ins and outs and you will have something bad-ass.
And to @I Like To Make Stuff ... thank you brotha, for showing me years ago that I could do this... I am right around the corner! Thanks again man.

WHOA man that is AWESOME! I think the fact that you took the time to make the top have all those cool angles like old arcade games makes you a good guy :D The raspberry pi is perfect for this. You can ssh into it over wifi and not even have to take it out to update it. That is a beautiful arcade machine.

This is awesome! Got about half-way through the video thinking I would do this myself.
    Shopping list:
    Table Saw
    Drill press
    CNC Machine
    Vinyl Cutter
A space big enough to store all this stuff
    Some adjustment needed*
    GREAT WORK!

Bob, WEAR A RESPIRATOR! You inhaled a ton of nasty particulates in this video alone, especially cutting the MDF. Ain't nobody got time for lung cancer.

Also, this is an awesome build. ;)

+Andrew Brinkhaus I don't recall seeing him most of the time to know whether or not he wears one at all, but it's worth noting that these dangers are serious primarily for people who work with these materials and so inhale these particulates consistently on a daily basis over years. I wouldn't want to inhale it anyway, but people far too often exaggerate safety concerns based on occupational safety standards that assume far worse exposure than even people like Bob would handle.

Yeah, told my boss that for years when I worked in a cabinet factory, they said we *NOT ALLOWED* to wear any kind of mask or respirator! Breathed that stuff for eight years straight.

I counted 13 with 2 making more than one appearance.

    Hi Bob great build mate.
I'm building an arcade as well using a pi.
I have found a simple way to add sound to the pi if your using a pc monitor.
You use the VGA monitor cable and buy this.
HDMI TO VGA adaptor with a 3.5mm audio pin.
You add this adaptor to your VGA cable and plug your speakers 3.5mm plug into the adaptor.
That's it. You will have stereo sound.
In Australia this adaptor costs $40 from office works.
In the states I'm sure Wal-Mart or similar store should have them.
