That may be true in many cases. These fuckers are lyrical masters. I think they have too much brain to bend to what people want. I think if they were ever to do that, they would have already. Look how long they've been around and they are still gold but are rarely heard of because they haven't squeezed into the mold.
They sell out shows on nearly every leg of their tour. They're not underrated, they just write music that's a bit too lyrically deep for the mainstream to understand.
That's what I meant, Anthony. The world and unfamiliar groups aren't getting exposed to them at the rate they should be. They're too busy with mindless pop shit.

MJK is a God! But Pete is too in his own right! That amazing voice of his and plus he's pulling double duty on the guitar, and pretty sure he writes almost all lyrics plus guitar parts and most of the bass parts as well I'm pretty sure. Quite impressive

i have all chevelles albums. did you know theres a name for that feeling you get listening to music. when the chill runs up your spine and goose bumps pop up, its called frission. when i listen to these guys that feeling doesnt go away until im done and have to shut it off. seen them twice in concert. great band, loads of natural talent, developed skills all the way around for them all. and lyrics that convey the emotion behind the songs makes you not only hear whats underneath, but feel it. thats hard to find with music now. will always be an avid listener of chevelle.

ya know, i was thinking, is it possible for this band to write an unlikeable song? believe me, i've been looking... haven't found one yet, not a single one! i'm fairly new to the material, but from what i'm hearing, i would consider chevelle to be, what i call a album band. back in the day, we would buy complete albums, compilations of great songs all on one disc, all from the same artist... and we would listen from beginning to end, over and over. this was the trend. thank god for bands like chevelle, we can do this once more! enough with this itunes digital pop culture, spitting out singles for the sake of the almighty dollar and fashion trends... give us something to appreciate! thank you chevelle and those bands that still care about writing good, from the heart material... you are doing what is necessary to keep rock and roll alive \m/ \m/

Incase you havent heard of em, you should check out Avenged Sevenfold they are a good "album band" lol albums such as Nightmare and Waking the Fallen are amazing! (in my opinion :P)
***** I believe the reason for this is the fact that the vocalist has such a unique voice that it can't be matched and therefore things then to sound similar. Like that one kid with the high pitched or "candy-coated" voice.

Sci-Fri Crimes is for sure, my favorite Chevelle record. Fantastic, clean, raw and organic mix/mastering/production, interesting song writing. What is really also strange, Pete does not have any screams on this record and still sounds most organic on this album. Mainly his falsettos are beautiful. And those lyrics, man. I really love, abstract/non-linear take on lyrics, themes and stuff like that. So much topics on this record. If you will focus on each word and line separately and connect them together, you will find your own interpretation. The true art behind Chevelle music, is that they are writing, mostly Pete, really personal stuff, but not in specific arrow. So even, that Letter From A Thief has that background about that thief, i can still interpret this song in my own way. My interpretation is about people, that are going in and off, your lives. It can be ex-friend, ex-boyfriend/girlfriend, some family member - at that point, in which they will enter your mind, they will stay there forever, alive.

I love chevelle so much. i love the way Pete rolls his eyes. he looks like he doesn't care about anything, even if the third world war begins, he wouldn't care. he's just so into this song and chevelle music in general, he's feeling it. it's not like ariana grande or another pop singer, who barely opens her mouth and shows zero emotions. this song is a masterpiece, chevelle is a masterpiece. never stop making music!

This used to be one of those songs that I would always skip for some reason whenever it came up but one day I actually decided to listen to it and now it's in my Top 10 favourite Chevelle songs. Love it!

Watah Melone CDs often came with great stuff. =') Digital downloads can't compete with that.
I absolutely hate when people come on these videos and complain about/diss chevelle. They are by far my favorite band and I don't know why people keep thinking negatively about them. Pete's voice is not "feminine" just because it's not freakin darth vader. You don't have to have the deepest damn voice in the world to be a good vocalist. Matter of fact, his voice sounds just perfect for what he does. This band is unique, and if you don't like it, screw off. You don't have to watch their videos.
Its called a comment section for a reason. For those who want to voice an opinion, good and bad.
What I meant was, they don't have to be assholes about it. They could just say, "Hey, you guys like it, but it's not really my thing." They could at least be sensible and not a complete douchebag saying only "this sux emo dix!!!1!1 lol"
My brother hates how chevelle pronounces words. I love it though
