And I respect and enjoy Chris's views. I'm lucky to be an owner of FL5 and GR Yaris. Each have their merit. Never driven a GRC but I suspect it's in between yaris and civic. Another commenter said it best. Morizo is slightly better than CTR. Core is slightly worse. That’s of course a simplification and depends on what you prioritize
I had a chuckle when you had to cut away when overtaking some other attendees. Excellent comparison even though the GR is rare. Both are beyond my spend appetite but I'm glad both platforms are available. If I were spending the money and both were available to me I'd probably pick the CTR. I worry about heat management in the GR differential and want the lower center of gravity.
I have both. The GR feels light, tossable and lively. The R is buttoned down, lower, wider, and much faster. The R is also just a notch better and racier in most levels, aside from the awd system on the GR.
@Jubbal & Cars I wouldn't say the morizo is substantially different. It's got different gear ratio in the trans for a little better acceleration, it's got a little less weight, it's tuned for a few extra hp with the same engine, so a tune could equal the power easily. The chassis is slightly stiffer and the tires are slightly wider on the same sized wheels. Other than the gearing, nothing on that would be hard to make better than the morizo
@@juanfernandez8987 the type R is only slightly better on a dry track in perfect conditions. In every other scenario the GRC wins and its not even close.
@@Olivia300zx where did you learn about Morizo's chassis being stiffer? Never heard about that. Diffs, gearing, back seat-spoiler delete, suede steering wheel-shift knob combo is it.

I wonder if anyone will ever talk about how the morizo edition headlights have a really really bad cutoff. off the lot and at night, they aim far below on the left side of the vehicle.
It's not exclusive to the morizo. The core has that as well to not blind oncoming traffic. I understand majority of drivers get off by doing stuff like that to other drivers
@@styledliving I daily mine in dark curvy back roads and I haven't had any issues with the headlights. I see the bit you're talking about but that goes away with the brights on.
