Sarah lee Thank you. 💜 They market so many expensive products just because natural hair is "trending." It's so hard to find reasonably priced products these days. smh.
Sarah lee Thanks for saying that. Hair products are expensive. I just wanted to add that Vicks Vapor Rub before washing will help an itch, flakely scalp. If you all know anything else I can use please tell me, Thanks
I make skincare and haircare products. Lotions, conditioners, and curl creams are made using the same basic ingredients. You are right on the money with your lotion/oil cream. Great job!
Girl, those rollers are so ECO friendly! I actually keep boo-koo grocery bags in my house and your curls gave me life hunty!! I know a lot of folks who use bath and body works lotion on their hair as well. I never tried it myself. I went back to using good ole grease and water on my hair to save money and time shopping for expensive hair products. Amazing video Queen!
Leeny Lynn Yes they are. Plus they can be used a couple of times. Grease and water are all we need. Even back home, all used was castor oil and water to get gorgeous hair. Thanks for watching 😊
Leeny Lynn .....Leeny you have NOT a clue what you.re talking about. Stop using words when you.re ignorant of their meaning. You need to go find out what ECO FRIENDLY means. A plastic bag sweetie is NOT eco friendly!🤣
Cali girl you.re? Perhaps you need a clue. It is actually "You're" You could have chosen to enlighten others on the subject without malice. However, thanks for pointing out the fact that ignorance is universal.
Wow... you are the real deal! I love that you showed everyone that they can still care for their hair without spending a bunch on these overpriced leave ins etc. I'm subbing
OMG! Lotion on your hair!! I love it.... I thought I was the only one to do this. I remember when I was in Germany back when I was younger and broker whatever I used on my skin, I used on my hair and my hair was mid back. It didn't break or shed while using the lotion either. Thanks for the vid; very creative.
Lmao my mom used to put Johnson Johnson lotion in my hair and have a cup of water with a brush inside the cup 😂😂. I didn't even use the lotion for my skin that was strictly hair lotion but my hair was always soft, long and manageable. I still will use some in a pinch
I'm so old school! Lotion was a thing for me back when I was in middle going into high school. I would use cocoa butter lotion and water to moisturize my hair. It's so awesome to see that I'm not alone. Trash bags, now that's a great way to recycle grocery bags. And we all have them Thanks for the ideas.
You have helped even the playing field in the natural hair community. Thumbs up for recycling and reducing your carbon footprint on earth. Gorgeous makeup!
I like your hair, make up, your skin is flawless, and your roller technique is good I remember paper bags torn into pieces and twisted around the hair as a hair roller substitute and as for lotion I know someone who used baby lotion and blue magic hair grease on their daughter hair it made it soft, easy to manage and the results were a full head of long hair just like anything it has it's benefits/pros for some people and cons for others you gave the paper bag rollers a upgrade with the plastic bag ones
Wow! So many compliments, I don't even know how to react. Thank you. I actually wanted to try brown paper bags, but I didn't have any. I still want to though.
First of all you are so pretty and the girls came out looking just lovely… And the style method that you used to achieve the curls is something that my grandmother used to do when I was a little girl. Thus, this video is rather touching ...reminded me of my grandmother and the process itself is simple and pure. Well done!
Thanks for sharing an innovative technique. I learned something new today, in a pinch, this can come in handy. Nothing wrong with finding an inexpensive alternative method to hair care. Hair product manufactures are making a fortune on our “Natural movement”, I don’t even want to think about how many products I don’t even use anymore that are adorning my bathroom counter tops and cabinets. :-)
You are welcome, I’m looking forward to your blogs. When I first went natural after transitioning nearly two years ago, I was clueless to taking care of my natural hair to help it regrow length and retain its health. I had been perming my hair forever and had just had it professionally highlighted, (which together I believe contributed to my severe hair loss). During my transition I watched a lot of youtube natural hair videos, but you are the second person I’m subscribed to. 🙂 P.S. On my Pinterest is a link to my Hair Journey....www.pinterest.com/mellaneses/my-natural-hair-journey/ 🌸
Thank you for doing this video. I wear natural and use Prem Rods once in a while. It takes a long time for my hair to dry and it hurts sleeping on them. This is an excellent idea. I will try. I am going to try the African Soap also. Thanks for sharing.
wait a minute honey, you just mighta did sumn. imma try this, i want perm rollers but if i can do this until i get the rollers i definitely will! you curls came out so pretty! it's so funny that people think that when us girls with 4c have protective hairstyles (twist outs and bantu knot outs) and other hairstyles like this and they don't even notice we're 4c. And yes, olive oil is amazing!!!!!
ladyshawann the ignorance when it comes to 4c hair is ridiculous. I was looking at another video with girl with a perm roller tutorial with 4c hair and someone in the comments had the nerve to tell the girl in the video that she wasn't 4c because her hair looks "too soft." I guess they've never seen 4c hair at its healthy point when its moisturized? I keep my hair moisturized all the time and my hair is more manageable and softer. People forget 4c hair can be manipulated into hairstyles, it just takes effort and letting your hair form overnight
You are so creative! Those plastic curlers looks a lot more comfortable than the hard plastic ones I used for years. 👍🏾 recycling while achieving a bomb look. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is AWESOME...this is great because she is showing other ways that most people don't even think of to use for their hair. I know if I didn't have brown paper bags I would sure know what to do with a grocery bag. Who would have thought! Thank you so much for this! And the lotion thing is nothing new at all. It has moisturizing properties that can definitely come in handy when you don't have hair products. Once again thank you💖💖💖💯💯💯
You did a great job. Great products. I love black soap but I have only used it on my face. I will have to try it on my hair. I do use olive oil alot on my hair and it works great. That's a great idea using the grocery bags to make a roller to roll your hair. Your hair looks great. Very pretty and healthy looking. Thanks for sharing.
I love how you made the hair rollers out of bags amazing. ..we can look and feel amazing on any budget I'm excited that we as black women are proud of our natural hair finally. ..growing up I had no choice to wear my hair curly without any products my mom wouldn't press my hair anymore so I learned to be proud of my hair at a young age I didn't fit in but I was simply me
That is very clever and the curls look beautiful! I like to mix in a bit of apple cider vinegar with mostly water in a spray bottle. And to that I add drops of essential oils. I use this to detangle my hair before washing.
Can you make an indepth video about being able to apply lotion to your hair? I've never heard of that before. Are the ingrediants similar to ingrediants found in conditioners? Great hair hacks! When my hair grows longer I will try the bag roller method to curl my hair before I purchase perm rods.😆
Tricey Bear Sure, I can do a pros and cons/ best uses video. Some ingredients are similar and honestly, any lotion with glycerin in the top 5 ingredients is super hydrating.
I loved this video! Your ideas are awesome! Almost like a natural hair survival kit consisting of the bare minimum of ingredients to clean and style your hair. Though I wouldn't recommend just any lotion, because the ingredients can be harsh and damaging to the hair, especially the perfume and alcohol that is used in most body lotions.
Believe it or not i usually would use newspaper or any other kind of paper to do my mother's hair and the curls came out just fine. It's way less hassling than using perm rods because i always have to be fighting to fix the hair properly on the rods. We still use paper up to this day but maybe not as much as we did before. Thanks for sharing girl, you rock!
Seeing you use "reuse & recycle" those plastic bags into rollers made me smile; because, when I was a kid (in the 70's), before plastic bags were invented, my mom rolled my hair with brown paper bag strips. The curls were always curlier than the foam rollers, which I hated sleeping on, anyway.
Lol. Funny how were. Going back to our roots. My mom used to do my hair with brown bags when I was in grade school. Mostly cause I didn't have any but also cause I lost all her good ones!! Beautiful
omg.. I wish you can hear how excited I am about this video. thank you so so much for posting this. I'm out of hair products but now thanks to you, I realise I don't.
Nail Art Fanatic it's so funny no one asked you lol but thanks for your 2 cent comment on someone else successful RUclips page with gorgeous full body hair...
Nail Art Fanatic like I said the jealousy is so real this is her channel and if u had any sense she wasn't agreeing with you....and I bet your ghetto bc y are you cursing...smh the ignorance is real!!
Artemis Falcon Jealous? Not at all she's a beautiful creative young lady unlike yourself. She asked a question to her audience and I responded. You my dear just don't like my response but it's cool. No time for online petty trolls. Plus dumb ass is not a ghetto term smh lol
I don't even know where to begin. I would have never thought about grocery bags, lotion and what not for hair. Lol. Girl you are a genius! Thanks for the suggestions. Your hair looked very soft and beautiful.
Wow never would have thought of this. Idk why I thought you were using a douche bottle at the beginning for your shampoo...I was like man she is really being crafty... lol it came out nice. Never would my hair behave
suyi Osagie if the lotion she used has glycerin, then it would make sense that it would work because it's a humectant, so it would attract water in the atmosphere and help the hair retain moisture. So it's not that unthinkable.
Soybean....APPARENTLY YOU DONT KNOW WHAT'S IN THE LOTION. TO BEGIN WITH GREAT INGREDIENTS THEN END WITH SOME BODY LOTION......WAS BACKWARDS TO ME. YOU GO RIGHT AHEAD WITH THAT 💩
Heaven Lee LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU ARE HILARIOUS. like ole girl really tried it , since when was it okay to use BODY lotion for your HAIR . Especially non organic lotion that has hella chemicals and hella perfumes . Shit with glitter is still shit .
I have a friend who used lotion. When I saw it I thought it was weird but it's really convenient for when you run out of product. I don't use it often but it's not that bad
Awesome video and your hair looks great. I would have never thought of using plastic bags as rollers. Did you sit under a dryer or just went to sleep with it dampened?
Raven Cladd lotions often have the same ingredients..,different ratios of natural hair products..ie. Shea Butter, oils, fragrances or essential oils etc,,,
Oh thanks so much for this video. I think my daughter's hair is 4c and I have no clue how to fix it, I loc'd mine before she was born lol. I will definitely try this and who knows, maybe it encourages me to grow out my dreads and give it another shot.
....body lotion for your hair...well...thats one way to prevent your hair from growing and keeping it soft. Body lotion is HORRIABLE for the hair! I did that when I was kid before cause i bored and it left my hair so damn dry. Worst idea you could ever do for your hair smh
Tatiana Ragland 😂😂😂 That's just the way it is when you're young and dumb. But seriously, it's just a quick fix, not a regimen builder. My lotion is really softening on both my skin and hair, and hair grows from the inside out not the outside in. The products you use may affect your retention, but your hair won't stop growing. Either way, different hair does different things even when using the same hair products and techniques, so you can't say with absolute certainty that what failed for you will fail when others do it. At least your hair didn't fall out in clumps. 😊
Pure Estrogen nah this is a result of someone being to lazy and broke to just get some real hair products 😒 Also this can prevent your hair from growing and retaining moisture! Body lotion has different and stronger chemicals in it that our regular hair products do not contain for a reason! Body lotion will clogged up the hair follicle and strands preventing any real moisture to get into the hair strand itself. Hence preventing breakage which entails length retention!! Also hair grows from the scalp hun! Everything you eat and put on your scalp and hair can either help it grow faster or slow it down even more!
Tatiana Ragland It can only clog your follicles if it is used on your scalp and also happens to be comedogenic, in which case your skin would also break out since scalp is skin also. Not all lotions or products in general are created equal and unfortunately, your outcome was trash, while mine was better than expected. What chemical properties of body lotion literally halt hair growth and prevent you from absorbing moisture? Please, explain this mechanism(s).
Your hair turned out beautiful, thanks so much for sharing, always on the look out for ECO ways of taking care of me and my daughter's natural hair. Lord knows I'm on a budget and need lots of products and tools! First time hearing about the lotion, watching that video next!
I love this video! I’m a broke girl in a small town in western Kentucky, not always a lot of options for people with natural hair! This helped out a lot :)
I love these life hacks! Thanks soooo much. I tend to use yarn for braids when my budget is being especially stingy. You can pick it up at thrift stores for cheap (by the bag!) It makes it easy to also experiment with color, without spends tons of money. Just make sure to HYDRATE!
Brilliant hack😄👏I did the brown bag thing in boarding school, and lotion takes it to another level....if you use it on your body it can't be bad for your hair💕subbed!
I enjoyed your video, I think using the plastic bag is a great idea. However I'm not too sure about using lotion on my hair. But I understand the point you were making by using things around your home. 😀
I'm actually going to try this. For about 6 months I have been using flexible rods and perm rods but they pull my hair out and at night it just hurts in some places to sleep and my scalp gets sensitive. Also my hair doesn't hold styles for days so I have to work with it every day. I love the bags because they are more flexible and soft for night sleeping.
Way2goful These grocery bags are really comfy. I also have a flexirod hack that makes them easy to sleep in, so you don't have to give up on them: ruclips.net/video/a20pTPeL12U/видео.html
Beautiful...I use lotion to refresh my curls alot.... sometimes it actually works better then other hair products. I love how resourceful you are, great video.❤️🌎✌️
First video of yours that I have watched. I too have used lotion and kitchen Olive oil in emergency... it is much more affordable. I especially love how you got immediately into your video and that I had no need to fast forward through unnecessary ramblings. I look forward to more.
I know for a fact WITH MY HAIR black soap is very drying. I've never used lotion on my hair either but it's known to be really drying for the hair. But I find it interesting that it worked on your hair. Everyone hair does respond differently! I WILL be trying these plastic bag curls though, they came out super cute on you! I 💚 your channel, I think you're a lovely young lady 😁😁
Hoshalah Misodi Thank you so much. I know people who black soap didn't work for. It's so weird how we can have similar textures, but different needs. Thanks for watching. I hope the curls work out. 😊
Back n da day, my mama and auntz used brown paper bagz when they ran out of sponge rollerz. I did too when i was n 6th grade. Lolz, had to make do da best way we could. Hair turned out great. So did ur hair!!
I'll try this with my shea butter mixture. I get the humectant effects with the glycerin in the lotion but I'll just stick to what I have readily available. I'm gonna try this with the plastic bags I have. 😊
I have the African Shae butter raw. I use it for baths the same as you but I am going to try it as a shampoo. Thanks for the tips.Love your creative techniques. The rollers were perfect.
This my fav video because lots of girls all over the world are natural but can't afford all the products that are advertised for natural hair..
Sarah lee Thank you. 💜 They market so many expensive products just because natural hair is "trending." It's so hard to find reasonably priced products these days. smh.
Try Maui Moisture. It similar to Shea Moisture but half the price. It's at Walmart.
EH CBunny I have their blowout spray. That stuff is good.
Sarah lee Thanks for saying that. Hair products are expensive. I just wanted to add that Vicks Vapor Rub before washing will help an itch, flakely scalp. If you all know anything else I can use please tell me, Thanks
Pure Estrogen I thought i was the inky one who uses lotion on my hair Lol...
Back in the 60s we used pieces of twisted brown paper bag. Curled very well on our natural hair. Thank you so much for being innovative and sharing..
Moe Betternow Thank you. I was actually inspired by brown paper bags. The 60s had so many good hair hacks.
Pure Estrogen Yes indeed. You are much appreciated. I'm from the Vigil Islands. You sound like you have a bit of an accent. Thanks again.
moe C Thank you. I'm from Zambia.
Moe Betternow you are so right. I grew up in the 60's also and my first rollers were brown paper bags. They made great curls!
Arlene Gilmore what is old is new again. Lol.
I remember using brown paper bags 💼 to curl my natural hair in high school. I really like seeing an oldie but a goodie still works.
'Broke girl curls' LMAO!! loving the creativity
Tina A 😂😂😂 Thank you. I have to respect the struggle.
I make skincare and haircare products. Lotions, conditioners, and curl creams are made using the same basic ingredients. You are right on the money with your lotion/oil cream. Great job!
every black person got that one cabinet full of grocery bags😂
krafting adict 😂😂😂 So true...regardless of what country they live in.
kiara richmond yep because I do Lol
kiara richmond Yesss!! ! 😅😅
😆😆 That's a true statement
Girl you know 😂👏
Girl, those rollers are so ECO friendly!

TheBritFix true
TheBritFix lol that's why I subscribed ...
Sae LaVerdad Wow. Thank you. I don't feel weird anymore. 😊
Sae LaVerdad and i bet your hair smelled good lol i did the same growing up and still do when i have curls and wanna smell good around bae lol
That's clever. I never thought of that.
We did this bags thing back in the 60th LOL!! when I was 5years old.
TheJazzie6 lol. That was my inspiration. It was the perfect idea.
my mom used to tear pieces of brown paper bag from the grocery store and roll her whole head of hair with it. ♡
Yep. My mother also used thick brown paper bags. She always had an Angela David size fro.
Starchildxo my auntie rolled my hair in paper once. some of the best curls I ever had.
Starchildxo Yes girl my grandma told me about the brown bag curls and as a teenager that's what I used to curl my hair.
Starchildxo yep this is nothing new! 80's if you didn't have rollers, you used brown paper bag! 💯💯
How like strips! I wanna try
Woah!! My first thought was, "grocery bags???!! I gotta watch this!" lol! thanks for sharing! 😄
Jai Nikole lol. Thank you. 😊
😱 My God the young Queen just changed the game for 4c chicks on tight budgets worldwide... & I'm here for it!! 🙌👏👏👏👏👏
ThatLadyDray Thanks so much. 💜
You put lotion in your hair 😂 I can't Girl , but the trash bags as the rollers was a great job.👌🏽
Treeport Louisiana 😂😂😂 I didn't think it would work, but my hair is still soft almost a week later. Thank you. 😙
I have never heard of putting lotion ion hair either, but the results were soft and beautiful
Pure Estrogen yea, I used to use lotion and water in my hair when I was younger doing my own hair, it made my hair nice and soft !😀
I used lotion and brown paper bags in the 60's. Curls lasted all week.
Lmao my mom used to put Johnson Johnson lotion in my hair and have a cup of water with a brush inside the cup 😂😂. I didn't even use the lotion for my skin that was strictly hair lotion but my hair was always soft, long and manageable. I still will use some in a pinch

Thanks so much. Yeah, lots of women use lotion. It works wonders when I need it.
My sister use to but lotion on my niece hair and I always thought she was crazy but she alway had a head full of long hair.
Nichelle S Oh, cool.
yep. I knew a girl who used nivea. once I tried queen helene cocoa butter and my hair was soft
You have helped even the playing field in the natural hair community. Thumbs up for recycling and reducing your carbon footprint on earth. Gorgeous makeup!
Thank you so much. I'm trying to challenge myself to find what works perfectly for my hair. Still learning. 😊

Who else thought that she was putting banana bread in the water?
lol
Lol, I thought it was fruitcake :)
Me
Kim Namjoon 😂
It looked like an oatmeal cookie..
The olive oil mixed with the lotion helped. Some people are acting like she used cheap dollar store lotion by itself. 😂 The curls turned out good.
Stigmata Martyr 😂😂😂 Right. Thank you.

So true sister, and they don't believe it's achieved without heat. They side me all the time, or say I must not have that real 4c hair. Lol
malikah bey Right. They think we're lying. 4c hair is "good hair" too. 👌
ladyshawann I get that all the time 😂😂😂

Pure Estrogen of course love, by the way what is the name of that scalp cleanser you were using. It looks awesome
Victoria Pagán It's a scalp massaging shampoo brush by vanity planet.
Pure Estrogen thank you!🌹🌿
Lotion in hair!WOW that's new
Val Jac lol. Actually, it's been around. It's a nice, quick fix.
Thank you so much. Definitely try black soap on your hair. You won't be dissapointed.
you got me with everything else.. beautiful set. beautiful curls. olive oil yes. black soap yes. Lotion?! NAH!
lol. You can pick and choose what you want for your hair.

Norma Barros Thank you. I agree, we can look amazing on any budget. It's always refreshing to know that other black women are embracing their hair. 😊
Very beautiful! Good job I'm going to try it.
Love Lormeau Thank you.
Using bags recycled is such a really cool way to rodset your hair. Looks great thanks for the hack, thanks for the tips!!
Michelle's Passion Natural Health Tips Yeah, they work nicely. Thanks for watching.
Lol broke girl heat less curly. Great title and video. Where do you get all these ideas from?
Kierra Malone lol. Thanks. I got it from the original brown paper bag curls except we get plastic now. 😊
Pure Estrogen You're welcome keep up the great video.
Pure Estrogen You ain't neva lied, I got a kitchen full of plastic "grocery" bags!!!! Lol😂😂😂 But you did a beautiful job with your hair...

Kay Roge Thanks so much. Yeah, not all lotions are created equal.
I'm trying out baby lotion and baby shampoo on my hair. So far so good, my scalp doesn't itch like it used to anymore
Paper bags torn into thick strips and twisted would have been even better and easier. That's what my grandmother use to use.
Livingboldlynfierce I know, but I don't have any.
Different, not better. This is a very good & creative method. Beautiful curls 😘

I... LOVE.....IT😆😆😆😘😘😘 You are a beauty! 😘👏👏👏👏
Happy Judas Wow. Thank you. 😊
Very inventive with the rollers. When I was younger we used the colorful pile cleaners from school and paper towels. Make it work with what you have.
Knit One Thanks. I tried paper towels and my hair looked like clouds. I kept laughing at myself, but it was still cute.
Thanx girl you are very creative
selina chiwi Thanks so much.

Seeing you use "reuse & recycle" those plastic bags into rollers made me smile; because, when I was a kid (in the 70's), before plastic bags were invented, my mom rolled my hair with brown paper bag strips. The curls were always curlier than the foam rollers, which I hated sleeping on, anyway.
kazm Aww, I'm glad I could put a smile on your face. 😊
I love it .. so cool ✨👌
kholoud ahmed Thank you. 😊
Lol. Funny how were. Going back to our roots. My mom used to do my hair with brown bags when I was in grade school. Mostly cause I didn't have any but also cause I lost all her good ones!! Beautiful
Thank you. I don't think brown bags will ever fully go out of style. Things that work have staying power.
So pretty.
MultiFacettedMe w/ SFB Thank you.
omg.. I wish you can hear how excited I am about this video. thank you so so much for posting this. I'm out of hair products but now thanks to you, I realise I don't.
Aww, I'm so glad I could help.
I will buy Royal Crown or Softee hair grease before I put body lotion in my hair. If I can't afford that then I can't afford body lotion 🙃
Nail Art Fanatic 😂😂😂 True
Nail Art Fanatic it's so funny no one asked you lol but thanks for your 2 cent comment on someone else successful RUclips page with gorgeous full body hair...
Artemis Falcon and it's so funny after she just said True you make this dumb ass comment. Thanks for your no cents 🤔😂😂
Thanks so much. It was surprisingly soft.
AMAZING!!!!
k. Love Thank you.
Wow never would have thought of this. Idk why I thought you were using a douche bottle at the beginning for your shampoo...I was like man she is really being crafty... lol it came out nice. Never would my hair behave
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I thought it was a douche bottle too.... I'm like damn when she said broke girls she really meant it lmao 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I thought it was a douche bottle too.... I'm like damn when she said broke girls she really meant it lmao 😂😂😂
E E lol the title made me go there too
Sograteful 2012 😂😂😂 Thank you.
The title "grabbed" me but the curls are beautiful. I had no idea I could use plastic shopping bags as curlers. Absolutely brilliant!
annebeth66 Thank you. 😊
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
DID YOU JUST PUT BATH AND BODY WORKS LOTION ON YOUR HAIR😮😬😯😕
Heaven Lee I really don't know what she was thinking with that .
suyi Osagie....I KNOW RIGHT...
suyi Osagie if the lotion she used has glycerin, then it would make sense that it would work because it's a humectant, so it would attract water in the atmosphere and help the hair retain moisture.
I have never subscribe to any hair tutorial but I must say yours is the best so far. thanks for sharing
Nana Esi Ackon Wow. Thank you so much.
You lost me with the lotion!
Shantay Ward You can use a styling cream instead.
I use lotion on my hair all the time...Keeps my hair moisturized...very soft...I'm over 60 years old...
vfcchurch musician
Oh, cool.
Shantay Ward Same 😅
I have a friend who used lotion. When I saw it I thought it was weird but it's really convenient for when you run out of product. I don't use it often but it's not that bad
Awesome video and your hair looks great. I would have never thought of using plastic bags as rollers. Did you sit under a dryer or just went to sleep with it dampened?
Sis had me until she put that scented lotion in her hair. 😯
Raven I already mentioned using styling cream as an alternative.
Raven yes nuts 😂😂😂😂👎🏽
Pure Estrogen I watched, it just I've never seen that before.
Genevieve Greene Aww, thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed my video.
....body lotion for your hair...well...thats one way to prevent your hair from growing and keeping it soft.
Pure Estrogen BOOOM!
Make your own RUclips videos then I think you did a GREAT job Pure Estrogen
Your hair turned out beautiful, thanks so much for sharing, always on the look out for ECO ways of taking care of me and my daughter's natural hair. Lord knows I'm on a budget and need lots of products and tools! First time hearing about the lotion, watching that video next!
Thanks so much. I'm on a budget too. This economy is biting. 😂😂😂
I love this video! I’m a broke girl in a small town in western Kentucky, not always a lot of options for people with natural hair! This helped out a lot :)
Mia Myers I'm glad it helped. 😊
I love these life hacks! Thanks soooo much. I tend to use yarn for braids when my budget is being especially stingy. You can pick it up at thrift stores for cheap (by the bag!) It makes it easy to also experiment with color, without spends tons of money. Just make sure to HYDRATE!
Thank you. I always wanted to try yarn braids, but I can't braid to save my life. lol.
Pure Estrogen
Well, my little sister likes to twist her hair with yarn. She is getting ready to do a style with black to grey ombre hair.
Amazing your hair looks so soft! The curls were stunning! I will definitely have to try this!
Marie Hairstyles Thanks so much. You should.
Brilliant hack😄👏I did the brown bag thing in boarding school, and lotion takes it to another level....if you use it on your body it can't be bad for your hair💕subbed!
Thanks so much. Yeah, boarding school will teach you to be resourceful.
I enjoyed your video, I think using the plastic bag is a great idea. However I'm not too sure about using lotion on my hair. But I understand the point you were making by using things around your home. 😀
D Moe Thank you so much. 💜
You're so awesome and creative. Wow. I would've never thought to use lotion in my hair. You're the bomb.
Sara Cad Thank you, thank you. 😊
I was annoyed a little at first but this video is perfect for the people who aren't able to buy hair products. You're Being a blessing ❤️✊🏿
Lelloyellow Thank you. I wish I thought about this when I was younger and needed it more. 😊
Your hair is beautiful and you impressed the hell out of me by using lotion, very creative.
seenah Thank you so much.
I do not have hair like this at all, but for someone with natural hair like hers (which is beautiful) this could be so good, so thank you for this💖
Aww, thank you. 💋
Brilliant ❤
Love your initiative to use products around the house.
Kathryn kirubi Thanks so much. 💖
Does the plastic bag make your hair sweat? That would be my concern if I tried this hair style.
Nope...no sweating at all.
Go ahead sis! When you said broke, I didn't think you meant this broke 😂. Love it
Kamyria Gray 😂😂😂 Thank you. 😊
I live the reuse of plastic bags, you rock!
Thank you!
So creative and beautiful! They look soft and fluffy 😍
Lache Morris Thank you. 😚
True definition of "Bag Lady ", erykah badu said heyyyy
Peace and LOVE 😂😂😂 Good one.
You're gorgeous! I would use lotion in my hair at work to tidy up my edges and smooth my end. Worked like a charm.
zheahra Great idea. I'm gonna start doing that. Thank you.
Good morning and thank you so much for sharing. I always just wait until I go out to get products. now I'll know what to do. You are so creative.
Wendy White I'm so glad I could help. Thanks for watching. 😊
Pure Estrogen You're welcome too
Kudos to you for showing us such a thrifty regimen. It's very refreshing to see in a time when wasting money is being celebrated. Lovely results also.
Thank you. We really spend too much.
So cool and clever and unique I absolutely love the idea you came up with!!
Thank you so much.
Beautiful...I use lotion to refresh my curls alot.... sometimes it actually works better then other hair products. I love how resourceful you are, great video.❤️🌎✌️
I totally agree! Lotion is amazing.
Thank you.
@@PureEstrogen your welcome 😊
First video of yours that I have watched. I too have used lotion and kitchen Olive oil in emergency... it is much more affordable. I especially love how you got immediately into your video and that I had no need to fast forward through unnecessary ramblings. I look forward to more.
Michelle Marfan-Urquhart Thanks. I try to get to the point because I am so scatterbrained. I really will ramble. 😂😂😂
Hi sis where did you get your black soap from. Is it all natural. I'm sensitive to scented black soaps. The set came out so pretty and neat!💕
Moonlit Balcony I got it from Amazon. It's natural. I have the link in the description.
That is cool, my mom used to roll her hair with paper bags and the results were nice. Nice video.
Tobby Kowal Thank you. I was inspired by the OG paper bags.
Back n da day, my mama and auntz used brown paper bagz when they ran out of sponge rollerz. I did too when i was n 6th grade. Lolz, had to make do da best way we could. Hair turned out great. So did ur hair!!
40mbooh Right! Sometimes you just run out and don't want to spend money or take a trip for some rollers. Thank you. 😊
This is so creative so happy I got a chance to see this
Naomi Lovelace Aww, thank you. 😊
Wow! So much work but what a wonderful result!
Maureen Tuohy Thanks so much. 😊
I'll try this with my shea butter mixture. I get the humectant effects with the glycerin in the lotion but I'll just stick to what I have readily available. I'm gonna try this with the plastic bags I have. 😊
Jamila Hubert Shea butter is the truth though.
This is amazing, I really want to try this!! Good job!!
Tyela McGee You should if you get a chance. Thanks. 😊
Pure Estrogen you're welcome, one day I will
I have the African Shae butter raw. I use it for baths the same as you but I am going to try it as a shampoo. Thanks for the tips.Love your creative techniques. The rollers were perfect.
Aww, thank you so much.
Omg!!! I needed this video in my new natural life thanks!!!
You're welcome.
All them shoes...no wonder she broke 😅😂😂😂🤣😂🤣😊I kid I kid. Great video!
lol. Thank you.
I love your creativity and the hair turned out great. Was your DIY curlers comfortable to sleep in?
K Rob Thanks. They were comfortable. 😊
Wow...Definitely Eco friendly and the curls came out Fab!...
April Garrett Thank you.
GURL!!!! I'm so loving this. I love my sistahs, so invented...
bjosh02 Wow! Thank you so much.
Lotion leaves hair so soft.... I loved this video😊😊😊
Danielle Ball Yes it does. Thank you. 😊
Great idea because the paper dries the hair out by sucking all the moisture BUT the plastic will keep the moisture in😊👍
True! Thanks for watching.
Those curls are Poppin hunni!!!!
