Is it damage or heat training? Cause there is a difference. The same thing can happen to hair from wearing tight ponytails as well. My hair is natural but from wearing tight buns my curls were gone from where I slick it up tight on the sides.
@@hufjgoizcurl bonds loosening is not a big deal. your hair isn’t breaking or not growing. if you don’t plan to wear your curls it literally doesn’t matter

Coming from someone who used to straighten her hair with a straightening comb right from the fire on the stove, heat damage is the least of my worries. I am now letting my greys start greying the way they are suppose to to and calling it a day. Will be doing my own silk press for my cousins wedding on Sunday. Your hair is beautiful. Great job.
I just cut my daughters hair like this and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. It was her first time getting heat on her hair as well. She and her twin went to stay with their dad for a couple of years and when they came back my babies hair was in horrible shape. I focused on getting it back healthy for about 8 months first before doing anything to it. Her ends were like straw, edges broken off, just a hot mess. It is completely natural but her curls were gone. I got my baby together and we finally got her curls back. She wanted this and now she sees the wait was worth it. It’s so full of life and bouncy, it’s shiny and just looks stunning. She was so happy. I think she learned a great lesson on being patient. Her hair came such a long way and now that it’s healthy again and she’s loving it, I think she’ll see the importance of health. She has also learned a lot about how to take care of her hair. I thought her dads girlfriend would help her with managing her hair, but that didn’t go as I planned. She was getting braids in my baby’s hair which was just damaging it, and I had always done her hair before then. Any who, she’s home and I’m loving this glow on her.
@tramsue You just made me embrace my Gray hair strands. I'm back to my silk press and this hairstyle is so me. It's actually similar to when i first started growing my hair out. I started again in January 2024. I'm excited to try this hairstyle again well similar to it 🤣 🤣. STAY SAFE EVERYONE. GOD BLESS US ALL 🙏🏾 🙏🏾.
Just because some curls are loose does not mean you have heat damage. Your curls can start falling down straight from wearing tight ponytails and other tight styles as well. Mines was from wearing tight buns. Where I slick it up on the sides was remaining bone straight after washing. Heat training is a thing as well.
