In one corner, the Atomic Skull. In the other an all new repaint of Action Comics 1000 Superman! Sure, they come in the same package, but the box calls it a Versus, so why not me?

I haven’t checked the price of the original action comics 1000 but I’m guessing it’s not cheap, I guess I see this as a must buy for those who missed out on it
I see it going between $60 and $90
This video helped me decide to buy it. I'm not really a collector but Superman is my favorite character and I wanted a figure of him so I started researching and then ordered it. It arrived yesterday and I must say that it is great and I really liked the whole figure, the colors are much better thant the Action Comics 1000 one and the model i think is better than the Hush one. Great video!

One question for your next video could you show the Superman in this two pack with the legs and arms swapped with Hush Superman?

I did try to do that for this one but I came into a problem with the legs. I will give it another go though

I hope McFarlane can do an updated classic Superman figure with the Hush Superman bright blue red, and yellow with the cool Rebirth Superman head sculpt or maybe use the Speeding Bullets Superman/Batman body mold someday.

I wanna see Red Cloud. She's a character for which scale is irrelevant, and I'm glad she briefly appeared during Williamson's run, so DC didn't forget her.
Thank you for telling like it is. I've been said from the reveal i was disappointed with Atomic Skull not being accurate. Despite that most youtubers think he is fine. I don't. He should be bigger and more armory. Also, I honestly prefer my Superman as well as Batman both leaner.

Well said, I got this set the day after getting Hush Superman, whose gray skin actively caused me to recoil in disgust and send him back. Atomic Skull may not be a big-time villain but this set makes him an awesome get, and that Superman could only be beaten by having double-jointed elbows and flesh-colored wrists. Todd must have been on vacation the day they planned the set because Superman wasn't ruined in any specific way this time.
I love this idea of Todd running around intentionally sabotaging the figures and the other employees having to sneak good stuff out when he isn't around lol this is my new head canon
Bulkier Supes is my jam.

Great review! I'm very happy with this 2 pack, my only complaint would be how the position of the figures left thier legs a little misshapen.
With all the problems I had getting Superman to stand, I totally get it.
Atomic Skull looks quite nice. I guess they'll do repaint in JLU colors at some point. And I hope they make the original Atomic Skull, too. Both characters are quite toyetic, I'm still wondering how come Kenner didn't make toys of them.
It would be cool to get Parasite and Brainiac (there are a few looks I'd love to see).

I am leaning towards this one or the the classic superman that's currently up for preorder that uses the page punchers body.

Thanks for the kind words, but no. I don't really feel the need for another Rebirth Batman and Clayface, and that Batwoman is just Knightfall Catwoman with some red bits glued on, so I'd rather save my money this time. Unless of course there is a really really good sale at some point.

Hey if you have him and are happy, no reason not to pass on this one. I'm a big believer that reviews are here to show you what you don't want just as much as what you do
I like a Superman that doesn't make Clark Kent look like a body builder... Superman should be cut in a way that makes it easy to hide it under an oversized shirt and coat.

I recommend you take this superman’s uper torso and pop it on to the superman hush figure and you should have a more proportional body

A perfect Superman needs the right balance of lean and bulk. Something to help make him more uniform with some of his Justice League teammates. Some people usually kitbash parts from both bodies to make it but maybe one day McFarlane can give us a new long overdue Superman buck update.

I honestly do like this Superman fig the only thing is the legs. Idk if it’s just me but I just see them as too skinny compared to the upper body. When I bought the original 1000 ac version I ended up swapping the legs for the black suit figure from Lois and Clark. Not what I would call the perfect match but does look much better given the legs now look in scale with the rest of the body
They are too skinny for sure..I'm going to do a part swap between this new one and Hush for ya

@@5POAFigureReviewsI’d love to see the blonde haired Barry Allen head included with The Flash to maybe customize it as Wally West in the Morbius Chair if it would work with the head swap. Other then that do Marvel legend heads fit on it? I know sometimes Legends head fit on these mcfarlane bodies and other times these don’t and this Atomic skull body is awesome. Love it.
Can you please try to swap the arms and legs with the hush version, I think it would fix most of the articulation and proportion problems

If you DO have the original Action #1000 figure is this worth getting just for the color scheme?
Let me put it this way, I'm happy with the OG, but I love the brighter colors. Looking at the video, if that new color scheme does it for you, go for it! If you're happy with what you got, it's an easy 40 bucks to save.
Awesome video. I was on the fence to pick this up. Now it's a sure thing, lol. Sups need to be updated, period. Double arms, height, no droopy S, and the man stands for hope. The art has him smiling, lol. Should be Superman !! Not oh $hit its Superman
The collector edition Action Comics 1 is smiling, but it doesn't seem quite like Superman to me. And as for the Ultrman two pack...we don't talk about that lol *shudders*
I like my Superman with the AC1k upper torso, and Rebirth head, lower torso, arms and legs.
You have a bulkier body overall but not Dolly Parton chesty.

There are leaks saying McFarlane is releasing something called Classic Superman. If not a new sculpt, there is always a chance it will be this
The perfect classic Superman would probably be the Page Punchers figure with a different head, the trunks/belt from AC 1000, and brighter colors. But since we don't have that, I currently prefer the Hush Superman over any of the others.

I have the OG Action Comics 1000 Superman figure, but I'm trying to talk myself into this 2 pack. It's not very comic accurate, but i'm really liking that Atomic Skull figure ....
You have gotta do a swap with the arms and entire lower section of hush and ac1000 it makes the perfect superman build

I have the 1st released Superman 1000, the color change doesn't make me want to get this 2 pack, I still prefer the OG, but to whoever that missed the 1st one, this is a great option!

That Superman REALLY benefits from putting him on the base of a flight stand and even better with the whole flight stand.

They are slightly different but close. I will show you all, promise. Just had some issues with the legs when I tried it the first time
I like this two pack. This Superman makes me feel more satisfied as a truly classic 7” Superman despite those chicken legs. I like this Supes more than gorilla Hush Supes. I also like Atomic Skull, he’s awesome! Can never get tired of villains!

I prefer a heavier muscular look to Superman. He’s got to be bigger than Batman. And the booster gold buck is too slim imo. I think the jay garrick flash is a better build
Jay Garrick would be cool. I just prefer my Superman lean enough to be able to picture him in a suit as Clark Kent and look like he could be an average dude

Why is the original #1000 taller than this repaint??
Optical illusion. Because repaint has to lean forward to stand, he appears shorter and his lower extremities look smaller.
I got mine a few days agon. Seems McFarlane continues the tradition of disregarding scale. I don't think Atomic Skull is supposed to be taller and it's really annoying. And though I do like the Superman figure, I can't say it's perfect because his cape lacks the yellow 'S' emblem.
I was going to point out that this would have been a nice opportunity for the yellow S that they missed. As for Atomic Skull, I am not all they familiar with him beyond the research I did for this video but I have seen comments that he should be even bigger.
@@5POAFigureReviews That's true, it would've been a good opportunity to add the 'S' to the cape. I was always under the impression that Atomic Skull was at least only as tall as Superman, but if he's supposed to be taller, then good, this pair makes sense.

My biggest problem with the superman figure is that they don’t make him chunky enough. I se e the muscle, but just looking at the trading card puts the action figure to shame
I don't like the chunkier Superman like the Infected Superman Body.
