Yay!! It looks like they were trying to balance out Doomsday’s Classic and his current look. It also looks like they both have a waist issue. One other thing I would have done is put this Superman next to Knight Batman, The Flash. Neca Green Lantern and Aquaman cause that would have been the money shot

Gotta love how the box artwork shows the iconic DOS cover with the shredded cape, yet the shredded cape on this figure lacks the yellow "S". Probably because they can't figure out how to print one onto a windswept rubber cape.
They could just sculpt it and slap some yellow paint on it. I'd be satisfied

Platinum Edition?🤔With doomsday double jointed knees and elbows, and a better battle damage superman with gold s shield on the back of the torn cape,both figures with strong joints and no gaping in the middle, next time it needs to get it right! Me..🙄 saves me money!🏦

So the superman in the two pack has no S shield on the cape like in the comics but the next release being superman hush does. It's just mcfarlane trying to force you to buy the superman you really want to go with Doomsday separately. It worked cuz I got both ordered

Great Review Jason, this is Lazy, as McFarlane usually is. hope we can get a proper battle damaged version of superman, as for me i bought a boot leg of the neca superman, because it at least has accessories and a really nice and classic look, hope that mc farlane pops out a nice one soon

This 2 pack is not worth it at all. The Superman is pretty terrible. The Doomsday has the floppiest articulation of anybfigure I've purchased in the last 5 years. I promptly returned this set without hesitation. Can't recommend
As soon as I got mine out of the package, I felt sick. The hips on Doomsday was horrible. I wedged some paper into the hip joints and it helped, but it still the point of the thing. I had stopped buying this line until this.

I'm returning as well. Figure cannot stand on his own. Very hard to pose without falling over. Big let down.

Great review as always! I got this yesterday and was surprised how much I liked the superman seeing as he is basically $20 tacked onto my doomsday figure
all things considered I'm not too upset with the release, but it REALLY would have been better with the cape flag display and fisted hands

I swapped out this Superman with the Infinite Crisis battle damage Superman (DC Direct) for the display... I'm still waiting for McFarlane to make a Superman figure worth opening...

With the amount of reuse this Infected/Rebirth buck a r Superman has been used ever since it's introduction, one would be hopeful for am update on the horizon right? We got one for Batman after all in Knightfall so fingers crossed?

I hoped once you got the regular hush superman release somehow you can put the fusty hands into the 2 pack version since that's the only things he is lacking to fight doomsday with.
It will largely depend on the skin color. The first Hush is too pale to match. That's why I went with Black Adam.

@@5POAFigureReviews Wow, that's amazing, my friend. The ending part also made me laugh a lot too hahaha... but honestly, it's a shame this pack was released this way. I was hoping for a Super with the appearance of Action Comics #1000 (battle damaged), and a more classic Doomsday, without that ponytail and without reusing parts from Devastator... I hope there will be a future re-release with these improvements, just like it happened with Batman Hush and other figures... well, dreaming doesn't hurt, right?

You’re too generous. I would have rather waited for them to produce original sculpts of both characters. They cut too many corners to produce this set. If it’s ever on clearance I may pick it up and do some customizing, which is all too common for me and McFarlane toys.
Yeah, if you can find it on clearance that's the way to go, but even with all its issues I don't expect to last on shelves that long

I always wish that instead of making up a new villain for Death of Superman, I wish they had used an already existing villian. Mongul, Brainiac, or Kalibak maybe.
I respect that and think it could've worked but I think doomsday is cool and am glad he exists y'know?
@@poob1082 Yes he is cool. It's mostly just that killing Superman is such a high opener. After that, Doomsday hasn't really done anything of note in the Superman books. I have the issue with Bane. "Breaking the Bat" is really all he's none for. Joker has several stories, Brainiac too. I would have just rather a character with less big stories like Poison Ivy breaks Batman. Atomic Skull kills Superman.
