You might have noticed a new item in the left-hand navigation bar on the Splice website.
This AI-powered tool, which we’re rolling out over the coming months, gives you a way to create musical ideas comprising up to 8 layers (aka Stacks) using sounds from our immense catalog, paired together by our tech to provide billions of musical combinations that nobody’s heard before.
Stacks are saved in your library, which you can dip into whenever you need a fresh idea to work on, or inspo for a new track. Stacks are the perfect songstarter, and there’s no limit to how many you can create. You don’t even need a Splice plan to make Stacks, but you do need to be a Subscriber to download the sounds and export them to your DAW.
Users of our CoSo App have been creating Stacks for a while, but the new feature Create feature is the first outing of the technology on the Splice website. And like everything we build, it’s designed with the creator in mind. The Create [beta] feature is here to help your creative process, by giving you new ways and more choice when starting your journeys into music creation. By putting your natural creative instinct in overdrive, we hope you’ll be able to make more of the music you want to make, and feel the joy of making music more often.
And though it’s powered by AI, we’re keen to stress that Create [beta] is here to help-not replace-your creative process. It streamlines your workflow while keeping you in control of your artistic vision.
We’re constantly developing new technologies to help you unlock your creative potential and there’s lots more to come-we’ll be rolling the feature out to more Splice experiences soon. i appreciate you watching up until that point. You wont want to miss the next video tho because im going to show everybody what being a "fraud" does career wise.
Just think of this tool as a friend who went out of their way to find samples that match well together for you. For example: Say you went and paid a friend or somebody to find you a selection of samples that you like cause you didn't have the time to do it yourself because of work,family,ect. It's really no different at the end of the day. This just makes it a whole lot easier is all. Just like VSTs vs Real Instruments, it's just simplifying it for us.
How to make 100 beats a day
These are the first beats i made in two weeks. all it took was some inspiration. in june i made a total of like 7 beats. 5 finished but 5 are going places. i had fun making the music, thats really what should matter.

as fun as im having in the video idk how anything is getting taken out of music. If u think a.i. is gonna do that then idk maybe its not a.i. that is taking the creativity out of music maybe its jumping to conclusions.

Made a dope lil wave yesterday with the Stacks tool. Still had to arrange mix and tweak the sounds individually. I will say that, as a Artist as well as a producer. Im looking at this tool as a way to create a quick beat that i can start writing something too. Instead of making beats that i think artists want, I feel like I can make some dope stuff just for my own LP's, Singles etc. Either way its still gonna come down to the user and how that user does what they do. 💪🏾💯 @Art @Splice

...its a great feature but 99 percent it creates bad combinations, non usable, hope it will learn and improve....
idk i made 3 of them and buolt around 1. its new so gradually it will get better. I found alot of cool kits & sounds i woulda never found before.

I’ve been saying this for a while now!!! Ai is something not fear but a tool to get over writers block!!! I hope they update genera’s!!! They only seem to cater towards hip-hop trap style that’s cool but you have producers that are more in the soul jazz and gospel genre!!! It’s🤷🏽♂️
those are the ones i just chose. i made some other beats with the other genres but thats hella footage to chop down lol. i made some fire disco stuff.
but see you get it. progression is the future.
I kinda like that its limited with genres and that it forces you to almost figure out how to be creative with the current limits in place. Like I LOVE that there are only hip hop-ish options, but I know I'll write something that is more ambient so I'll take the chord progressions and maybe the beat and just fuck with it until I get the style I want while still keep some of those original ideas in place.

no different than sampling. i turned 4 samples into one and built around it. theres no rules.

@@savesta6127 it’s not. u guys only think of sampling one way. it’s still humans that made this not a computer.
@IBEENART the computer defs plays a huge role, a click of a button basically makes a beat for you in which you can just mix and match the sounds. Yes you do have a control to make it unique but you realise many people will just do the bare minimum and it will be okay since its splice samples. Atleast with sampling you have to go out and seek out the sound want to manipulate, even if you do the bare minimum you still run risk of copyright and criticism which would force you to do alot more changes to the sample

@@IBEENART sure. it sounds like every other beat. Nothing unique or particularly original about the beat. Which isn't surprising considering you used AI to create it. It had less time spent on it and less human touch placed on it. I'm not a negative person and I am not knocking your abilities as a producer. I'm not going to spend any time listening to your music, but I would like to think that you're capable of creating more enticing music without the use of AI.
@@IBEENART The entire introductory angle is a draw for lazy producers with no talent. a more realistic angle of 'AI used as a tool that finds sounds to enhance and complement my own music' is a much more respectable and realistic angle of use-case
