Id love to see that the new bookshelf replaces the old one. So that you can for example only craft empty bookshelves and you need to fill them to make your enchantmenttable complete. And in structures you can only find these as well each one with a differend amount of books and maybe even some enchanted ones in the stronghold library.
I feel like the whole purpose of "Minecraft Live" is to promote their questionable minecraft spinoffs, rather than showing the mob vote or new updates. They just use the hype for new features to attract spectators who might want to buy their other games. If not, they would have warned us that there wasn't a proper update planned yet.

So the main point of Minecraft Live 2022 gonna be the progression of Minecraft Legends. Minecraft 1.20 looks like it gonna be a small update after many big updates ago (Caves & Cliffs part 1, 2 & 3 aka Wind Update).

I don't think modding is comparable to developing the game itself, the consequences for mistakes in mods are much smaller. But yeah, they had no important features planned and still they didn't hesitate to use the update hype to attract spectators for their advertisement. They are doing really bad.

In space there is a jellyfish the size of Steve that floats. On this island there are several predators and prey such as the terrestrial axolotl which is herbivorous, a giant centipede related to the warden lives underground on this island, An eyeless crocodile and relative of the warden who has the same ability as him who is born in lakes and a chimpanzee also related to the warden who eats bananas.
For people who currently dislike this update, remember that this is not all that will be added to the 1.20 update. You will be able to give community feedback on features and stuff you want to be added to the game, during 1.20!

Everyone is so testy about the update being small yet you haven't realized they said they were only introducing things that are close to being ready which means there is more to come and they just got done some huge updates! Nether, Caves and Cliffs, and the Mangrove Swamp cut them some slack they've been working really hard and things take time

I can see why people are underwhelmed, after all we are coming off of a rather large update. However this update has most likely been years in the making. These smaller updates give the developers time to work on larger projects and still be able to give us more features to work with. I imagine another big change is in the process of development. I personally am hoping for a new end biome that includes blocks for building in the purple hues. What ever the new update releases hold I will continue to thank the developers for their hard work and dedication.
