Very interesting Sam. I will have to try each of those three ways to drop your shoulder and elbow and ultimately club handle into the slot. How about one more way and that would be to institute a squat at the top of the backswing. Most pro golfers, including Rory are using the squat method at the top of the backswing to drop the handle into the slot.
There are definitely more feels that allow this to happen! I've found that many amateurs that try the squat method end up having an even worse disconnect between lower and upper body and still need a different method to help then deliver the club more efficiently into the golf ball. Every person is different so many ways to get a desired outcome in the golf swing!
For me the pull the rope is with trail arm then when I enter the slot my left arm takes over. I shoot right and I am left handed so thst is advantageous I think. Of course I push off the trail foot first and 45 degree firing of the glutes All this bumped up my swing speed about 7-8 mph. I still like to gain another 7 mph to be about 115 instead of averaging 108 and get into the 160's for ball speed for 300 yard, less effort drives. I'm 58 yrs old and in shape, sound reasonable?
You've had a 7-8mph club speed increase from my vids?!?! That's AWESOME! Absolutely doable! No doubt! I've gotten 50+ year olds swinging in the 130s and 140s. Keep at it!
@@SamAttanasio I am like a dog with a bone when it comes to meeting my driver goals. I did long drive back in the 90's and my longest was 386 on a draw. My technique was pulling from the top which is inefficient as we both know. Studying your videos in the last few weeks has resulted in my speed increase and I have more in the tank. I have been told by golf pros to accept that I am older and slower and I refuse to accept it and my speed increase yesterday proves them wrong by swinging faster 20% ramping to 100% accelerating through impact from your video. When hitting I pretend I am doing a practice swing and my speed goes up. I am up near Toronto and if I was near you I would be there in a minute working with you. Keep up the great videos Sam, Brian
I LOVE that you proved them wrong. A lot of common golf logic puts people into boxes which only exist because they don't know any better but they say it as fact. If you ever travel down to TN, I have weekend packages consisting of a full 3D and 2D swing, speed, and body analysis which will tell you exactly how much speed you are leaving on the table and how to unlock it. I also do remote lessons! Cheers.
@@SamAttanasio well when someone tells me I can't do something I just have to prove them wrong. I just might take you up on that. If I go on to your web page will I find the details? No worries I just found it.
The move is dropping the club into the slot. That is where speed comes from. If I left it there, the majority of viewers would've been left lost because they didn't have a way to achieve it. That is why I included 3 different feels to achieving the 1 move. Since every person is so different, I wanted to make sure to give everybody a roadmap to success in dropping the club into the slot.

I like your flags!
Ok, but why is the title of video “the ONE move to get you 5 more MPH” and then you suggest 3 very different ways of getting there??

@@SamAttanasioSam- you explain it perfectly in the video- three feels for the one move! Many thanks
