Notice how there's a direct correlation between the amount of health Arin was losing and the moment that Arin decided to make his strategy for every fight to stand motionless for a few seconds at a time as he spammed his charge attack.
Arin is from the school of people that don't know that sometimes start is the inventory and select is the actual options menu.
Arin is from the school of people that refuse to test every button 5 seconds after starting a game.

So... There was the original Ninja Gaiden on NES. Then there was a 3D reboot on the original Xbox. Then that reboot got an enhanced re-release with an improved camera (Ninja Gaiden Black). Then that game got remade in better graphics for the PS3 (Ninja Gaiden Sigma).
So this is a remake of a re-release of a reboot.
They cut content from the PS3 release though.
I can see Capcom coming in with a "hold my beer" right about now.
It's my understanding that Sigma is also easier than the original and Black versions.

Gaia Author 97 its cause he doesn't know how to do the on landing charge otherwise spamming UTs and izuma drop is how a lot of people play on harder difficulties due to invincibility frames.

arin's experience with never blocking in action games is something i experienced just once. in most jrpg's i've played it seems rare to need to block if it's even there, such as with super mario rpg being the exception (which i love it's timed hits btw). so when i was playing hyperdimension neptunia (the very first one on the ps3, not the re;birth ones) i got stuck on a boss because i never blocked.
i knew it was part of the mechanics, but i was so used to never needing to block i looked like an idiot that in that particular game, you attack in combos and end with block. in every other game i played, blocking was something you can't do anything else but that, so realizing it in hyperdimension neptunia it felt really weird as it was so unique.
That's how I was with some Final Fantasy games. Only ever used the block command when I could somewhat predict that the boss was about to use a screen nuke

"ninja" as a plural is an artifcact of the Japanese language, as there's no modifier for plurals. Ie: 1 pencil, 5 pencil. No 's' or anything, so it depends when speaking english... do you want to stick to english convention, or nod to the Japanese origin of the word 'ninja', and use no modifier for the plural. I really think it's a matter of choice in this scenario.
to be honest, i don't think an established rule has been made for loanwords. so, who's to say what the rule is.

There is a modifier for plurals. It's -tachi. It's just more optional to use in Japanese than in English.
there is, but there isn't an equivalent of adding an s to the end of a word to pluralize most nouns.
you can't add "-tachi" to apples to pluralize them.
you say "3(mitsu) no ringo" for "3 apples."

This is one of the games that got me into gaming when I was way younger on the original Xbox. I’m so happy to see them playing it! I never had the chance to finis it. Now it’s my time to see if I can finally beat it before they do!

I'm surprised that Dan actually knows about a game post NES. When he said that this game was nostalgic for him, I almost expected him to be referring to the original NES Ninja Gaiden. Nice to see him actually knowledgeable about a more modern game that they played, for one. And glad to see that Arin has finally acknowledged the fact that he never seems to know how to block. He's probably going to keep forgetting but at least he now knows what one of the major issues is that he has with games.
