the way to do it ( I have done this) is to buy the land legally. then you move on a 'caravan' Which is required under the Health and safety at work Act of 1974. You then plant veg, get chickens and sheep etc and start selling at the gate locally. You then inform the council with a notice that you are erecting a barn ( common law prior notification ) you then move onto the land to build the barn. As you are doing this you detach from all peripheral legal agreements until you are left with your bank account and land registry. Once you have established an income from local sales. You then write to the Land registry cancelling the agreement and cancel your bank account
It is important not to have a legal address, So, you put a letterbox on the gate and send yourself letters to a made up address. The postman eventually finds you and delivers the letters. But the address is just the letterbox. not the land.
After a few years the land is your 'property' and is non legal. Property in Britain is lawfully established through 'use of' and not necessarily 'entitlement to' . As they say. Possession is 9/10ths of the law" the other 1/10 th is 'entitlement'.
This is what i have done. We are now 16 years on here and have no council contact for the past 15 years. . no council tax, income tax, utility bills ( bore hole and solar)

You are already sovereign once you relinquish all legal agreements. It is the legal agreements with the state and state institutions that cede your sovereignty. . This means that as a sovereign being any property you own or have a lawful claim over is yours. ie. if you have no legal joinder . then the land that you inhabit is not occupied by you. It is your by law. And the law is still very much in use today.

I'm just buying land in Fife with friends and putting it straight into a private express trust. Ive been on a course with privatetrustsdirect to learn how to do the trust myself. Our land comes with a plot with planning permission already but as is common when buying farmland, the farmer gets an uplift payment if you build anything requiring additional planning, so it will be in his interest to keep an eye on what you're doing there. Barns and other agricultural buildings are allowed OK without planning consent.

The land registry is considered by the state the official register of title. The person(s) named on the register will have the full support of the state to exercise the rights of 'ownership' of that land.
If the old owner's name stays on the register then they can sell it again to someone else...
The land register was introduced on the idea that people having 'deeds' (kind of what you are proposing - a contract regarding ownership of the land) was too complex and too risky especially as more people became land owners -- how could you ever be sure that the bit of paper you have is the most recent 'deed' to the land? If you traded your land, you would still have the old deed and may try to use this to sell the land again....
Maybe a better way would be to buy land into a trust (or llp) and allocate it to people on a contractual basis, trading rights to use the land (or bits of it) would all be contractual within the trust, and no business of the land registry.

I looked at buying a wood recently, the covenant stated you could only stay in your own wood for 28 nights of the year, no fences or signs to be erected, the restrictions were many, astonishingly you were allowed to have a campfire though!!

A few problems that you will run into:
    1. Land registry is part of the system and with it being part of the system will require ID of the actual legal fiction (Passport, Driver's licence) which matches the legal fiction that the title is being transferred/sold to.
    2. Maybe if you could get the contract and wording correct you can transfer without use of land registry, however, if successful in this feat you are now also required to physically defend this land by force from occupation/invasion from anyone outside your land (it's now outside of the jurisdiction of Police/Army/Government/and if you're lucky also the king).
With these problems in thought it's probably better to simply sell up and go to live somewhere else that isn't a totalitarian state.

you do not need any legal paperwork to buy land if the agreement has the consent of both parties. you are not obligated to register land or inform the land registry unless you have entered into an agreement that specifies that.

Method of payment is not the issue. Rather it is that once a property is registered it is handed to the owner of the register.
I believe there is a method of establishing ownership as follows:
The HMLR is tasked with two duties: maintaining an up to date register of property, placing all property on the register.
The register is about the operation of a fraud. Like all frauds this is dependent on never admitting to that fraud, for if this was ever to happen it would be to admit to carrying out a criminal enterprise. The HMLR pretends to operate for those on the register when covertly it is against those people and concerned with taking ownership away and giving that to the government as represented by the crown.
To carry out this fraud words have been used to give double meaning. This in itself is a fraud because in ordinary life the meaning of language is what is commonly understood by the people NOT what is covertly written.
The following outlines establishing ownership by use of a simple cleft stick. To illustrate this I will use the fictional property of 14 Accacia Avenue, Biggleswick owned by Richard Vobes. It uses the same pretence that the HMLR uses but renders the HMLR void by insisting on clarity.
Mr Vobes writes to the HMLR. MR Vobes will use rule of three to establish the following as true so there will be 2 more follow up letters.
    The letter reads:
Dear HMLR it has come to my attention that there is a lack of clarity in the HMLR as to ownership. In order to establish such clarity I require the HMLR complete the form below. As client I have an absolute right to insist that HMLR gives this information in the manner of my choosing.
Here 'belongs to' will be taken to mean absolute ownership above any claim by any other without exceptions.
This letter and form is written in plain English as commonly understood by the people and must be completed in the same way. The addition of any additional words other than the name of the owner will render the entire statement in the form worthless because it has been made unclear. This includes insertions such as 'registered to', 'recorded as' 'understood'. The HMLR must only give the name of the owner who the property belongs to.
If the HMLR is unable to complete the following form let it be seen that the HMLR is unable to provide the name of who the property belongs to and acknowledges that it is not a record of ownership and has forfeited any claim to such.
The form should include date, signature on behalf of the HMLR.
Form to be completed by HMLR:
    _____________
Property 14 Accacia Avenue, Biggleswick belongs to ...................
    Signed ..................
    HMLR position .............
    Date .......
    _______________
    End of letter.
Obviously the HMLR cannot ever complete such a sentence and their response will probably to reply that completion of such a form goes against their policy and lexicon. Instead, they will repeat who the property is registered to. In this case the HMLR have failed to clearly state ownership. Should the HMLR complete the form they have returned ownership as the form makes no mention of register and is an absolute statement of ownership. Should the HMLR complete the form 'Property 14 Accacia Avenue, Biggleswick belongs to the crown' then this can be challenged. The crown would be liable to both compensate as well all bills on the property, forthcoming and retrospective, including council tax, services etc.
There is a distinction between what is commonly understood and legalise. It is commonly understood that when someone buys a property be that a house or even a car they own that thing. This is important. It is through the deception of legalise that government seeks to carry out a fraud in order to seize property. This only happens when the fraud is completed and the property is seized, NOT when the property is purchased or registered. All purchases are made on the basis that both parties are using normal everyday language as commonly understood not secret code. Registration is done under threat of penalty and is commonly understood as a requirement of the administration of services.
When the DVLA seize a vehicle this represents 'completion of the fraud'. Until this fraud is completed despite rhetorical claims otherwise the DVLA is not the owner. To clarify, the DVLA is not the owner as commonly understood cannot claim otherwise. For example, if as keeper I destroy the vehicle before the DVLA seizes it the DVLA cannot claim compensation for that vehicle because it was not the owner. The same should I sell it. The DVLA never paid for the vehicle and was never given the vehicle as understood in common English as used by the people. So we can see the DVLA clearly uses deception to complete the fraud. It relies that at some point we will acquess to the fraud or that the fraud can be passed off using the concept of violations of rules/policy.
It is true that it is commonly understood that when a vehicle is registered the DVLA may seize the vehicle in event to settle penalties. However, this represents the 'passing off' of a violation of ownership by implying consent. This is a psychological strategy. Contracts are not lawful if imposed under threat, furthermore the contract is disproportionate lacking reciprocity, again one sided contracts are not lawful because they are dishonourable.
Another approach when registering a vehicle might be to issue a bill to the DVLA for that vehicle attached. Though this bill will never be paid it would stand as proof that the DVLA did not complete on transfer of ownership. Should the vehicle be seized and destroyed the issuer of the bill could insist that the bill is settled as the DVLA now wishes to complete the transfer of that property. Though such a claim would be ignored by the DVLA notification as a reminder of the bill might serve as an obstacle to seizure. Should the DVLA decline to register the vehicle under issuance of a bill then the owner cannot be prosecuted for failure to register. Should the DVLA register the vehicle but return the bill then another bill may be sent. By accepting the registration the attached bill has been accepted, it is not for the recipient to disregard the fee attached to that exchange just as when we buy a thing we cannot disregard our obligation to pay by removing the price tag, this is called stealing.
Note: The DVLA issues orders to third parties as a matter of habit which is a violation of privacy/data protection. It is worth reminding them of this and imposing one's own penalties should this take place.
The distinction is even clearer when property in the form of buildings is seized. This is done invariably using the idea of 'greater good'. The HMLR are well aware that the seizure of property is unlawful and fraudulent but to ease this through use the concept of 'greater good' to provide psychological pressure and justification. However, notions of 'greater good' seldom have long-term legitimacy because they are dependent on fear. For this reason the 'greater good' arguement will always wane over time and perpetrators will seek to push through the seizure before their own arguement expires. 'The greater good' is the same as 'the ends justify the means', it is unethical because it puts the OPINION of the exponent over the ACTUAL rights of the individual concerned. It tries to back this up by claiming numbers.
Property seizures will always seek acquiescence of the owner because without it those involved in administrating the seizure become personally liable. Even if the individual who is having the property seized accepts one pound in compensation this is equivalent to 'completion of the fraud'.
In regards to attempts to seize property 'NO' will always be the best defence. Threats will be issued by the body attempting the seizure and it will be hoped ignorant third parties eg police/enforcement officers will act criminally to force through the seizure on behalf of the body initiating the acquisition.
Lastly, it is wrong to believe ignorance is no defence. This is a rhetorical statement attached to legalise but can be logically shown to be untrue. Though our understanding of right and wrong may be inate this is not true of arbitrary policies. If you are not aware of a rule you cannot be lawfully fined for breaking that rule going about your normal business. Again such rhetorical statements are baseless and psychological tricks to force acquiescence.

There IS a way, but it is THE ONLY way, of obtaining a patch of land to which you are the absolute owner (monarch), but you probably won't like it. The Crown has supreme ownership of all land under which all the other categories of tenure are listed, so there is no such ting as "free land". It is either already owned by the Crown, or someone "legally" owns the tenure subject to the Crown by various tenure titles i.e. lease, freehold, rent, quit-rent etc.
OK, the reason why you are reading this: here is the method for acquiring allodial title: CONQUEST. As it always has been. You have to go to get your own military and then go to war with the Crown. If you win, it is yours, if they win, they keep it. If you win, you will have to establish a border and then maintain your land with military force powerful enough to keep them off. You could set up a treaty but that would be sort of contradictory to the initial move of going to war, unless you can arrange some sort of trade agreement I suppose, something that would benefit them from allowing you your own sovereign land. 😉
