Thank you for this great video! I had a bad board in my oven - so, with the help of your video, I removed it, and sent it to The Repair Shack. For under $100 (plus shipping) they repaired it and sent it back. I reinstalled the board (again following your video) and it's like new. To replace these ovens would be over $3,000! You just saved me a lot of money! Thanks again!
This is exactly what I needed. Same make and model and I need to replace my control board. Whirlpool no longer manufactures this. I didn't even know how to open it and your video saved me!!!! I broke a piece of the faceplate but I dont care. Thank you so much. Your technician deserves a raise for a job well done

This worked out great for me. An extremely helpful video; thank you so much for posting ApplianceVideo!
My issue I resolved is I had no display and no functionality of my oven. All I could do is turn the oven light on/off - no heat, nothing. I replaced the Control Board following this video's instructions, and just like that problem solved! Like other comments on here, easily saved me $200+ in labor having a technician come out.
The only advice I'll add in is to pay attention in reattaching the ribbon cable. That seemed to trip me up a bit, but eventually got it properly and securely in place.

Because it is easy to have not properly connected the panel flex ribbon cable correctly to control board, I advise after connecting the control panel, powerup oven and verify that all the touch panel buttons respond. Also, if a spade connector is very hard to remove, it might be a type that has a safety pin that needs depressing before pulling off.
I enjoy watching your video.

My folks paid to have this fixed by an extended warranty nightmare.
Looking at all those terminal blocks and that ribbon cable I think I see where he dropped the ball. =\
I am going to look at it tomorrow. Thanks a ton for posting a similar build to look at.

Watched your video and replaced the main control board. Very easy to follow!
After I reconnected the wires and turned the power back on I am receiving E1 F2 error. I rechecked all the connections to ensure I connected everything accordingly. What else could be causing the error. Prior to replacing the control board there was no function displaying on the oven panel.

Thanks for the information, but I wonder how you determine whether the control board, or the control panel is bad? I have a Frigidaire double wall oven (FEB30T7FCC) that stopped working after a self cleaning cycle. I tried resetting the thermal switches on the back of the unit, but it has no effect. Given that the board costs ~$200, versus ~$1000 (ouch) for the control panel, I'd like to know which is actually defective. I am hoping for the former! Thanks for your perspective.

I have all the same indications that you had with the screen not on and the oven not turn on. Did the button for the internal lights work, to where it turned on and off the internal oven lights. And also when I press the start button it would do a short long short short beep?

Its quite common that a "short" signal is detected by the main control board eeprom chip that its ERC shuts down the cooking functions when bugs can crawl into the CB cooling fan and stops the blades from turning. Be sure you clean them out and recheck before buying a control board.

Ho wa did you determine that the control panel was the problem
We had a very brief power outage a coupla days ago. I went in to reset the clock on the stove, but the "PF" wasn't lit. I pushed the button on the control panel ~ nothing. Also, the oven & broiler won't work now, either. So, is replacing the control board gonna fix all of these problems?

I have a may tag double oven. It just stopped working while I had the bottom oven on. Control panel went out and the oven and eyes would not come on. We checked the breaker; it was fine. when we would turn the dial on eyes to med high the panel would come on and over would come on and then go back off. what could be the problem. in the panel while it was on briefly it showed these codes. MO168 E0167 and EC0159 and then cut back off.

won’t heat. Broiler on top oven works but both ovens don’t heat...

Is this the ignition in each?

I have a Maytag double oven and the top oven will not get hot. We changed the bake element and the sensor only to find both were working fine. Not sure what is causing the oven not to heat over the 75 degree temperature. The control panel is working(everything lights up) and the broil feature also works. Just won't bake. Bottom oven working fine. What could it be?

@@Appliancevideo my oven is a older type I would say 80's model Frigidaire
I turned the electric off and then back on to my double oven and when I turned the oven on, it actually started heating but the display is black. After turning the oven off, it no longer will heat when turned on and makes the beep beeeeeeep beep beep beep sound.
Ordered a control board. When I get it and install it I will let you know if it fixed my problem.
DAS ... how did this turn out for you? My Whirlpool Double Oven did exactly the same and I have been troubleshooting it components. I pretty much convinced I have a bad main board as the other components seem to check good. Thanks.
