we have an electric range this happened to. We unplugged ours for about 10 minutes, then plugged it back in and it reset itself. Try this before buying parts you may not need.
Thank you for this video. I just had to clean German cockroaches out of my display panel (got to love Hawaii condo living). This video helped me greatly. Even on the simple things like what direction the back metal panel should be.
Thanks for the video. Not a difficult replacement but it's always good to see someone do it first to learn from it. I would have tried pulling a corner on the face first. Glad I saw your video first.
Thank you for the video. Only thing I would maybe change is that instead of peeling off the laminate surface for the buttons, I would just swap the internal controller boards from the new one to the old one. It is only a few screws and plastic retention mounts for them. More straight-forward and less risk of messing up the laminate button surface.
Thank you so much. This is a very good video and it helped me so much. Ten (10) days before Christmas and this happens. My husband is I'll so the repairs are on me right now. Happy Holidays and thank you again. 🤗
Wished you would have showed how you slid the oven out and back in. I have an island in front of mine and dont know how I can fit in behind the oven once I slide it out. Theres barely enough room to slide it all the way out .
I have this exact Kenmore stove. The part on Amazon say frigidaire. Can I still use it? I'm trying to fix my oven before Thanksgiving. Thank you for your help.
my control panel does not light up and I will see if I can find a part on Amazon but the oven is also making a continuous beeping noise. Is that because of the control panel? Before that the oven door was locked as though it was in it cleaning mode but could not read the control panel to determine that
thi sis exactly whats wrong with my oven, might even be the same model. sad that the replacement is that expensive. i can solder so, i wonder if i could find a part on that board that looks blown and repair the card myself.
It's happening to me too, a female, and I don't have $1,500 for a new slide in and I kind of think it's simple like this control panel but the only other thing is that the oven is making a continuous beeping sound as well. I will mention it above and see if this guy responds
@@sable7114 might be the display if it beeps. if you take the controller unit to someone who repairs phones/laptops they might be able to repair the module too .. like solder a broken lead or read the display number and order a replacement screen and desolder the old one and put in a new one.
@@necrokittie2291 okay I'm still trying to learn the terminology so I guess the display is the control panel the part that does not light up? Never thought about a place that compares computers so if I can figure out how to take it out myself oh, okay I can figure that out but sometimes I get scared😲 then I could take it to my computer guy. Thank you so much for response!😊
Thank you ! Thank you!@karenbhappy3094. unplugging and waiting 10 minutes worked for me! I had moved my stove a wee bit and apparently that movement caused it to malfunction. But I did as you suggested and boom! its working just fine now! Thank you to the maker of this video also! @Ponyo Tran cause if you hadnt made the video I would not have been privy to the suggestion. Great DIY by the way!

Yay!!! This worked. Just around 10 mins to reset and I was back in business. Thank you

Thank you so much. I did not know the part comes without the sticker. This helped me so much.

Does the oven work? You didn’t show that.
Yes it work...
How do I know that's what's wrong with it or not
This is the exact part I need but nobody recognizes any of the part numbers on the piece. Can anyone help me with this?
Ill wrote the part number down below the video. Hope that help.
What’s the part number and where can I get it
@@ponyotran2996 do these parts at Amazon have warranties on them?
