    Forgot to mention. One really nice feature with the watch is the quick release system for the bracelet. I've shown it in a previous video you can find here.

    This is definitely a beautiful piece that I was not aware of previously. Loving that it is COSC cert and I personally like it without the date. For the price, I think its a pretty stunning daily wearer! May need to put it on my wish list now lol. Great vid!

    L2L is crazy, and bracelet extends this even more to 54mm. From this reason, I would prefer this on nato or other straps.

    Wonderful watch, amazing dial (always loved 5 star cognac...😋) but the lug to lug on this bracelet is a no-no for me. Pity cause it's a watch you can wear whenever, wherever.
    Thanks Bob for presenting this one, will keep an eye on it for sure.

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces

      Thanks Stavros. They seem to like having longer lug to lug measurements on their watches for some reason. I could sure go for a cognac right about now. 😁🥃

    Great review! I got the stainless steel version of 40 mm with bracelet and it is a majestic timepieces! Personally I like the date complication as well as the clean version of it. In my flat 6,3 inches wrist it looks absolutely on spot. It is the biggest I can go with but I am very satisfied and happy with it! And the butterfly clasp still is ok with me because it tappers down nicely. Longines did a home run with this watch!

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces
      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  2 года назад +1

      The date is much nicer on the 40mm without the cut off 3. The whole line is really nice. I was looking at the green version the other day and really liked that one too. Thanks and enjoy your Spirit :)

  • @TheCdM1981
    @TheCdM1981 2 года назад +2

    I personally think this watch looks best at 40mm due to the lug to lug. Otherwise I would always go with a 42/43mm case for any watch with a smaller lug to lug and thicker bezel. This is very similar in style to a field watch though even though it’s a “pilots watch”. But it’s all dial and wears much bigger. 42mm with that lug to lug on my 7in wrist looked almost edge to edge. Technically my wrist can hold 57mm lug to lug with no over hang but this seemed very close.

    I've been waiting for a nice review of the titanium Spirit, so thanks Bob! If they would update the lug opening (20mm) and end-links to the bracelet, than this watch would be in my rotation right now.

    Longines are definitely turning out some great new pieces my only issue with titanium is the fact that they pick up scratches very easily, this one looks a real beauty in its brand new state though.
    I really do want to get a Longines to have in my own collection I've been eying up the conquest 41mm. Thanks for the review Bob.👍👍

    Good video, thanks.
    I would like to know if this Spirit Titanium is a real no-date watch or just the same as the others without the window date (and a ghost position on the crown) ?
    Thanks you for the answer.

    22mm straps for the 42mm version although that one might wear very large indeed! This is a smoking release from Longines but the price is getting up there. Some nice finishing. Titanium is a great watch material and the wearing weight can be an eye opener. As this watch is all dial it’s wearing big. The 42mm must be a monster!

    Great job 👏 👍. Awesome watch ⌚! I belive the alternative strap is fabric/nylon, not leather as you stated. Also, doesn't the bracelet have a quick release on the spring bars? My wrist is same size as yours. I would buy the 42mm and put it on a nice dark brown saffiano 22mm leather strap 😀

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces
      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  2 года назад

      You're right about the strap and I can't believe I forgot to mention the quick release springbars. It's a really neat system they have to release the bracelet. Thanks.

      Hi Greg. Kind of a coincidence but I recently got in a watch from RZE that might work for you. It's called the Resolute. Not sure if you've heard of it but it's titanium with an hardened coating and 100m water resist. I have a video coming out in it later this week.

    Longines has been at the game long enough not to do M ends into a case lug to lug that should be 47.5 mm. This is very close to being an instant classic...but...nopes
