    For those watching in 2022, Lawrence at 50/50 has designed frames where the wheels don't block the UFS bolts. Just two bolts to go from aggressive Balance frames to freeskate Compass 80s.

    Mine were very very difficult to get on, almost as if the souls were warped slightly which was frustrating

    In new Shifts 2 this cloth is now glued to the bottom of the boot so problem is fixed. Same experience no matter which setup you skate. Reign liner is amazing and overall feel of the skate is awesome...

    I popped the soul off several times when using my grinder blade set up and use the screws religiously. But when I'm just cruising with my big wheel setup, I go without the screws.

    • @BrandonDrummond

      Same here now. The skates do just feel much less solid then the sl boot.

      @@BrandonDrummond sl boot was the best thing for razors. Especially when they made it so the bottom of boot is the soul frame ur standing on. Lighter n lower. I hope it comes back

    same problem keeps happening to me on my soul foot, unclicking in the back. I have cosmo razors with kaltik v2 frames and the cosmo skates did not come with the bolts to fix this problem. So far I just kick the soul back into place, until I can get some bolts to fix it. bummer.

    Hi can you help answer a question. I was debating getting a pair of UFS inlines for the reason of changing frames. But can you change simply the hblock? If not what skate can

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  3 года назад

      Hey. Very few frames let you change the H-Block. Getting a UFS frame to swop between aggressive skating and rec skating is a much better option. I'd recommend doing that instead.

      @@BrandonDrummond thank you. If i purchase the sway boot or the cosmo , or Shima for example i can then take my 59mm UC wheels and frame and put it on these boots?

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  3 года назад

      @@hvdb4492 Yep. All of those boots can do that. I would reccomend the sway the most. It's a great aggressive and rec boot.

      @@BrandonDrummond ok cool, looking at the next powerslide too now actually i wonder if its just better to get a different boot. And change up to trinity frames for the larger wheels in future ..

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  3 года назад +1

      @@hvdb4492 If you can afford it I would reccomend getting too different skates. No skate is excellent at all disaplines. Getting an aggressive skate and a freeskate is much better.

    the only thing i hate about the shifts is the constant squeaking from the cuffs. they squeak and creak no matter how much you break them in. its really annoying. other than that, great skate. love the ability to switch frame setups. i don't use screws but i dont grind much so i'm good.

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  2 года назад +2

      Cheers for watching. You can fix that squeak if you wax the inside of your cuff. Really coat it everywhere it touches plastic on plastic. I was a game changer for me, even on my Them 909s.

    • @drinkingpoolwater
      @drinkingpoolwater 2 года назад +2

      @@BrandonDrummond i will try that. thanks. so theres a lot of squeaking with THEMs too?

      @@BrandonDrummond i been blading since the 90s and i can't remember any skates doing that back in teh day. companies now don't do much testing, just throw the product out with flaws and problems.

    Any good shop in aussie to buy skate gear that ship to nz bro, shipping from the states is total rip off

      Baysideblades is good. But it ends up being pretty similar to the states. I just wait for sales in the states and those usualy cover a huge chunk of postage.
