Bro, 100% agree with you on this. I’ve spent well over $1k buying boots, and liners, trying to find the perfect skate for me. I started with Razors, went full circle...ended up back at Razors Genesys with the STOCK liner. Such a great and reliable product. Razors are fulIy customizable and parts are easily swapped. Also love the Cult, but I like having a huge soul plate because I suck lol. Kaltik and USD hardware is trash compared to Razors. Built to last and fit feet very well. Good shit Simon
After all of this I really learned to value comfort, affordability and durability. HASSLE FREE. That's all I've got to say. Btw: My first ever aggressive skates were the Genesys Iain MacLeod pro model back in 2013 and I obviously admired them ^^ But I just really like the raised heel in the Cults. It's the optimal foot position for me.
Car audio is just great ^^ and yeah... nuff said. They're my favorite skates. It's also totally possible to put a Reign liner in there, which would boost them up to Shift/SL quality but you'd get the raised heel instead of the shock absorber...
I agree with everything this guy says . I skated Usd sway then sway 60 then razor sl...they all were to wide in the toe and felt like clown shoes. The bought a pair of cult blacks and boom perfect fit. I then orded 3 more pairs of cults. All I will ever skate from now on
Are you still skating Razors? Check this out. I’ve been skating since THE BEGINNING. I avoided Razors for over 20 years. I thought they were boring and ugly. I bought a secondhand pair off of a friend of mine a little over a2 years ago. Since then I’ve skated other skates as well. USD Team Carbons even. I just bought my second pair of Razors the other day. That’s how satisfied I am with them.
Nice, helpful wideo. A week ago I bought used looking almost brand new razors super flat 1 (1999), so yes, the boot mold is there for good 20 years. They are very similar to cults, just higher cuff and a bit weird wheels position, they all tends to be more to the front. Similar to you, I did rode skinned valo, some carbons before, always complaining after solid hour of ride. These are just great :) so definitely my next skates will be cults. Hard to imagine they are the best skate not only for me as I see, especially considering the price.
I just couldn't fit the EU41/42 shell even though I'm a 42. And the bigger shell felt humongous on my feet. I really wanted to skate M12s but they just don't fit me... really happy with the Cults though!
I've found that I really don't like built-in liners... and I really like the Cults, so I decided to settle. Oysi frames could be an option in the future but right now I just want to keep it simple.
Thought you would have got on well with the Sola’s I wouldn’t be ashamed about having them or trying them. I do like the idea of having a frame for life and in that aspect find the sola quite appealing. Keep up the good work and skating :)
Yeah but the Sola's are really more of a park frame. Especially with the aluminium h-block (And I just can't skate the plastic h-block at all. It feels like there's just no groove whatsoever). I'm okay with having spent the money because I gave it to Kyle at his doorstep and I saw the light in his eyes when he talked about the frames. He's passionate about them and he deserves the support. Still: I can buy a new pair of Cults for the same money (and they come with a frame every time...)
rollife need to try the new 3D printed flat v3 h-block, game changer for skating street in sola’s but the price hit isn’t going to happy 😆. Brandon’s video which h-block is quite on point
It's funny I did the exact same thing since I started again. Spent way too much money chasing the perfect setup, then ended up just going with basic-ass Cults. There's something about them. Even with their flaws. They're really good. And there's something mentally freeing about just bashing around in something cheap. Like you say - you use the hardware to it's fullest. If you can't hit something - it's user error - not "Oh I need to buy this or that to make me better". The hardware doesn't make you better. YOU make you better.

rollife Yea man. I don’t regret it really, I’m glad I know what most skaters feel like. Ooooo those were fireee haha
It's the Kalashnikov of the rollerblading world. "Skate is fine"
Diggin the car studio! Great honest review on these Cults, I have always wanted to try them mainly because they are basic.

I miss this channel. Hope you're doing well dude.

There's something to be said for simple skates. I'm really enjoying M12's with the stock liner.

Love your message- everything that you need. Respect. Subscribed.
