Good job young man. I had my friend’s 12 year old son shoot slugs through my Stoeger M3000. He was afraid, but he handled. Here in Hawaii, you can only shoot slugs at the range.
I just bought a Stoeger Coachgun, the model with dual triggers and internal hammers, because I like more classic side-by-side look for double barrels. But I might be tempted to get one of these tactical over/under shotguns.
Good show! I watch Dan's channel as I live in MI too. You both have done justice to this neat shotgun. Since almost all videos showing a home invasion show that thugs flee at the sound of the first shot 99% of the time you are not under gunned using this one. With constant practice one can learn to reload rather quickly also.
Wish it wasn't fix choked. Should make a version without the barrel mounted pic rail and also in 20ga flavor. Would be a heck of a bush gun for up close rabbit. Stoeger make the best working man's o/u in my opinion.
I have a high-end Benelli over under for trap. This little piece of iron is fun fun fun. Reliable, and accurate, and the kick is not that bad. If you think so, you could get the 20 gauge. Might be better for home defense anyway.
So many things wrong with this video... 1. It's almost Halloween, no pumpkins were destroyed in this video. 2. The left side rail is bare, it needs a high lumen flashlight. 3. The right side rail is bare, it needs a green laser. 4. No dragons breath rounds were fired. 5. No flechettes were fired. Again, see complaint #1.
@SMASHTIME does this shotgun have the same feature as the mossberg tac over under; where it has some weird float-angular safety, where if the barrel is angled downward beyond 30-45° or so, wont fire? Mossberg made a cool piece USELESS for treestand hunting or elevated self defense with that stupid "feature". Wondering if stoeger nerfed their piece too or not
I purchased one of these about a year ago a side-by-side 12 gauge is shot every once in a while, but I dealt with a lot of light primer strikes. I use premium 12 gauge ammunition hornady. Did you run into any of these same problems? Have you heard an over under has had more success than a side-by-side?
Was this stiff and hard to fully break at first? Have a bit of trouble with fully braking it to be able to load 2 shells. Thanks for the break down and demo of the shotgun.
I handled one of these at a store in NY state the other day. Have to say, I preferred the more traditional over unders and coach guns they had, but there was a larger issue, at least in my opinion... The price point for guns like this has grown out of control. I walked into that store with exactly $500 in cash deciding before hand that was my budget. I went looking explicitly for a double barrel, and I was immediately disappointed by how expensive they'd all become. They were all between $470 and $550, which is easily getting into pump gun territory. There were even some semi autos in that price range, though I don't think I'd trust a Turkish made semi auto at $470. In the end I got a deal for an old cut down hunting over under that had been modified. $300 bucks out the door and had ejectors that shot those rounds out the back damn near fast as it shot from the front! These newer double barrels would do well to remember that part of the allure of such guns is their price.
It's my zombie apocalypse gun! My only issue is for the price it doesn't eject the shells like other over under shotguns when you fold the barrel down.
I’m not sure what is happening there but I have owned a Stoeger over/under for about 12 years and can shoot that thing all day. It’s possible there is a little difference in recoil pads over the years. I have to ask if you are only shooting maximum or magnum rounds?
It's cool, but the only practical application I can think of is to keep on the wife's side of the bed. While the husband investigates a broken window or the door breaking open with an AR-15 or full size handgun, this gun gives someone unfamiliar with guns a super simple means of defending herself. 5:36
If this is supposed to be a defensive shotgun you're crazy if they are marketing this as a defensive shotgun then they are crazy shotgun or not there's no way I want to go into any defensive situation with two rounds in my weapon this is a short worthless bird hunting gun would you be caught dead in the defensive situation with your everyday carry pistol with only two rounds in it or your everyday carry rifle with only two rounds in it
Father son time, priceless.
I picked up some Short Lane adapters to shoot some other calibers out of mine. Great video, thanks for sharing it.
Put a Limbsaver recoil pad on the buttstock. Your shoulder will love you for it. Add some velcro shell holders too.

My son has already asked to try it again.. took a few days.

Nice. Any chance will see any bolt action rifles Down the pipeline. Maybe some budget ones Like a savage mosberg remington ect.
Yes/ Soon. I have one im waiting on a cerakote job to get done now =0)
@@SMASHTIME you need to score some of those min shells for that thing.. then you can kiss recoil bye bye.
@@starpoint2112what do you recommend
mine has chokes, ejectors, and barrel select.
Thats sick

I've been wanting this Stoeger Double Defense Over/under shotgun for several years now but no one never seems to have them in stock.
man its tough to find them you are correct
2:30 - love the honesty
hahaa.. thank you. It took a few days to recover .. man i must be getting old

yes the first few shots were it was stiff.. breaks in well
Have you shot the mini shells through it yet?
Someone said it might ruin or damage the chamber because it’s fitted for longer shells.
No not yet. Ill check it out. they should work OK
@@SMASHTIME I just bought one by the way. Headed to the range in a couple weeks 🤙🏽
The recoil looks more straight back compared to side by side coach guns. Is my observation right?
You are raising your kid right. Good job sir. And cool looking shotgun!!

I want the skeet model which would be good for a lot of things like skeet, turkeys, and any kind of varmit. Which red dot did you settle on for it?
Can the rails on the sides of the barrels be removed?
I never had an over/under and like the shorty guns.
Yes
@SMASHTIME where can I buy the rails on the side to put on my over under? I quite like it.
This video seems incomplete without mag dumps
I know it
What optic are you using?
Wonder if there is a way to remove the safety from engaging upon reload. hmmm
I wish.
"Just fire two blasts!"
It's my zombie apocalypse gun! My only issue is for the price it doesn't eject the shells like other over under shotguns when you fold the barrel down.
I only use automatics! I don’t like to reload very often!😎
Can the pic rail that goes along the barrel be taken off?
Awesome video
Thanks bud. i appreciate your comment and watching.

I don’t need that much rail space.
Idk how someone can call a o/u “tactical” without ejectors. Even with ejectors it’s a novelty weapon at best
My side by side version would at times shoot both barrels at once😂
That would be sweet
@@SMASHTIME it was an eye opener.
I thought the shotgun blew up😂
BROWNING AND STOEGER FOREVER!!!
Amen to that
Wheres the ejector?
Should try some shorties through it
Thats a great idea
That’s cool
Ya man , once you shoot it you will fall in love.
Sweet toy Brother!
Fallout mentioned hell yeah
Bro.. Im a Fallout Junkie going on 9 years.
it would be cool if ejector was included
A Joe Biden special!

Good point.
Make excellent dangerous game double rifle
So cool
I think so.
bosg in real life
Double trouble.
It's cool and all, but lam into having as many rounds as I can....
👍👍
Thank you sir.
No ejectors??? That's awful 🤢
for home defense, I would say that it should have partial or full ejectors. I still think it's fine though.
@@doriangray2347It absolutely needs ejectors for home defense
Agreed for use as home defense.
But as a backpack gun using adapter inserts it works well
Hey smash I wonder if that's the one Joe Biden's got ha ha ha
Maybe.. do you own shotguns?
Only 11 Of them
Kool, but 2 rounds...NAH
