I’ve been there many times. I am actually from Santiago, but moved to New Jersey when I was 13. Sosua is my favorite beach but way too crowded and too many vendors.
i have been to puerto plata, costambar, cofresi, playa dorada, sosua, cabarete. I like the north coast better than punta cana, why? the north coast is more authentic dominican while punta cana is more american style and more commercial.
First of all Mills is so pretty with or without makeup 👩🏼🦰👑. Morgan was amazing loved the tour, she knows her stuff🧠 because I'm looking at places on airbnb and I can't find anything decent that isn't at least 900 a month💸. are u planning to live in a touristic place? you can get job at international schools there in sosua and cabarete. However, puerto plata is a better place to live because is a real dominican city. sosua and cabarete is more tourist oriented and prices fit tourists. prices in sosua are consdierably higher than POP. Also sosua is a party town fast paced not really a place to grow a family.
Definitely lol actually I didn’t really know what happened but I do think it was overpriced, the problem is they needed to move last minute and were in a pinch
I am dominican and she is paying, too much money for that apartment, with 200 or 300 dollars she get a beautifull and big apartment in evrywhere at the dominican repúblic.
I'm certainly not interested in going to Puerto Plata for those prices and to have to stay in a guarded compound to go for a walk with no water or electricity. Not withstanding being overcharged simply for being a foreigner. No thanks. But thanks for the heads up.

Lots of people prefer gated but I’ve never stayed in one! Next time she’ll likely find a cheaper Airbnb
