    • What is a Star Schema?
    • Building Facts and Dimensions
    • Understanding Relationships
    • Role-Playing tables
    • Calculation Groups

Great explanation. I think every PowerBI developer needs to view this course at least twice. Once to see and understand the possibilities of data modeling and PowerQuery. And then after working a while with the possibilities to see even more and better ways to find solutions. E.g. the calculation groups for the measures with the inactive relationships are great!!

Excellent Work Mitchel, I enjoyed the entire 3 hours session. In fact, I never sat down for the entire 3 hours at a stretch before. Amazing content and the way you have explained and organized the content was beyond our expectation.
Now, I have a quick question. When we create data model from the live table (which has around 20 columns), we have to remove duplicates in the fact or dim tables (as you did in this training). The question is, how does it work when we have created data model from the live data (esp. removing duplicates in the fact & dim tables). Hope I am able to explain about the question.

Hi Mitchel. Thanks for sharing this great training. Since I'm leaving in Quebec, Canada, I'm having a problem replacing the unit Cost & Price value to the US origin file value, they appear in text value not in the decimal value. When I look at the origin of the file ite indicates 1251: West of Europe. I've tried to change it to 437: OEM US so that I can use your data in power querry but each time when I wan't to remove duplicates I've a error message. Is there a way that I can use the data and not have to change my cumputer settings. Thanks for posting, very instructive.

In Synapse Dedicated Pool, we have to be very cautious on how we distribute the data evenly between nodes - does this concept still apply with Fabric SQL Warehouse or does the product help on re-distributing the data based on usage for better performance. A video on what we need to do as a developer from the old world Vs. the new Fabric world to achieve maximum perfoamce with an example would be a great one for us. Thanks always for your videos and all the education.
