I bought the monster clips that hold the material away when doing baby shirts, it clips inside the hoop and t really does help keep everything in place. I wasn’t happy with paying 20. For 1 because you Need 2 to really open up baby clothes to keep everything in place but if you do a lot of tiny things it’s worth it. You can use them for all your embroidery projects
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts hahha yes soo i discover some of my stitch are loose but not all so i did double my float with tearway first then adhesive works great now i thought it was my tension but some of it are perfect so probably if some part are loose not soo stable probably it happens :-) lesson learned..hahha
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to make this video and posting it for us, as requested during your Friday night live Happy Hour 🥰. Watching your videos always make me smile and I’m happy that I learn something new. I do have to admit that I’m a little confused 🤷🏻♀️ about stabilizers. I think I get the wash away, which you used by placing it on your towel, and this is because the towel has raised fibers. What’s confusing to me is cut away, tear away and sticky stabilizer. Is the sticky stabilizer tear away or cut away? Not sure which to buy. Please help.
Hi Kathy, The stabilizer you use will depend on the fabric you are embroidering on. If I am embroidering on a shirt I always like to use cut-away. If the item will be washed many times, the tear-away will dissolve in the wash. The sticky stabilizer is tear-away. When doing a shirt, I would recommend using a cutaway and spraying the temporary adhesive on it to float. I should have mentioned this during the video. I will definitely mention it on this Friday's Embroidery Happy Hour.
Thank you for this video! Love your videos. Question, when you hooped the red shirt, don't you have to put the top of the hoop on as well? So that the fabric is held between both hoop pieces?
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Just tried it last night, you are right so much easier! and easier to position how you want. Love your videos, so helpful, I watch all of them.
I have 2 questions on this 1. How do you hoop when you want to put a name or a small design under the left shoulder spot for placement? 2. What is the blue thing your using to smooth out the fabric on the sticky stabilizer? Thanks again for your videos!
Hi Portia. If you are embroidering something small like a logo on a shirt, I would use a 4x4 hoop. I also use the sticky stabilizer and hoop the item as well. The blue thing I used is a car felt squeegee for vinyl. Here is the link. It's very inexpensive: amzn.to/2Qj7KBs
If I’m trying to save stabilizer, is it possible to hoop the sweatshirt, then use sticky adhesive spray to stick a patch of stabilizer (just small enough for the design) under it?
Hi Chantal, You can hoop half of the stabilizer. As long at the stabilizer is secure in the hoop you should be ok. Totally understand you about saving on stabilizer. This stuff is not cheap.
Hi ThisIsWhatItDo! The Soluble Stabilizer is great to use when embroidering towels. It prevents the stitches from sinking into the fabric. Sticky stabilizer helps to prevent the fabric from shifting while you are embroidering.
Thank you for teaching me again! I got my se1900 working for the first time watching your videos! 🙏🏽
Glad to help
Gracias Teacher! ❤
Your very welcome!
Great job
Thanks Teresa!

Excellent tutorial. Gracias!
Can you do continuous embroidery quilting with the SE1900?
Yes you can. The feet on the machine do drop. There is a switch on the back of the machine.
Thank you! Do you use cut away stabilizer? Any poly mesh for the t-shirt?
For clothing I use cut away stabilizer. I use the no show poly mesh if the fabric is thin.

Boricua Sewing & Crafts Muchas gracias amiga. Thank you for clearing that up for me.

Hi Mel. You can hoop that why. However I prefer to float many of my items. It makes it easier to align.

Why did you use the soluble stabilizer on top of the towel as well as the sticky underneath ?
