I have a 4" se 625 machine and have been using it alot for 2 years. I never heard of this hoop before! I thought magnetic was only for the big multi needle machines! Thank you! I'm not sure if this will fit my machine or not, but great video.
Thanks so much! I tried a different brand but it didn’t fit my machine so I’m returning it. I want to try this. Does it also come with a grid. I’d like to use it for edge to edge embroidery so need to use a template for placement.
Thanks for this video. My magnetic hoop arrived but I haven't opened the box because I may have to return it to Amazon. The box (item SAAAM) says it includes only 4 magnets even though Amazon's descriptions says there are 6. I ordered 4 more today. My husband insisted I open the box, I did and it truly does have 6 magnets inside even though the box itself says there are 4 inside. Happy day! Can't wait to use it. I bet I'll use it most of the time when I use a 5x7 hoop using stickyback stabilizer. It's awesome.
I have the hardest time putting this hoop in the machine I recently got. (Super newbie). I see you had a little trouble with it too. Have you found a “trick” to getting the hoop in better now that you’ve been using it for a while?
Thanks for the video I wanted to use a magnetic hoop but brothers does not make them or require them for the machines, only high-end machines but I'm still interested do you have a model number for the hoop, I also have a SE1900
Hi Linda, I search for something but unfortunately I couldn't find anything. I would check with your local sewing shop and see if they know where you can find something similiar.
Hi Julie. If the side of the frame looks the same it might. I would give it try. I got this from Amazon. I would see if they mention your machine model in the description. If it doesn’t fit you can always return it.
I never tried that with this hoop. I think it might be a little tricky. You would need to use more magnetcs to make sure the fabric doesn't shift around.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts also, Jeanette I have another question...when you use the sticky stabilizer on the magnetic hoop, does it leave a residue and need to clean the underside?
Janette, when you get a chance can you record a video hooping a shirt using your magnetic hoop? I got my magnetic hoop today and could not wait to embroider! I love it but man did I get spoiled with the center point arrows on the plastic hoops! It took a minute to get it centered but it worked nicely! I would love to have a 5X12 magnetic hoop! I think from now on I will do a baste stitch around the project just to hold the stabilizer down!
got my se600 on ebay, the person included the magnetic hoop. i was skeptical at first, it only came with 4 magnets (the original box had 4 in it), wasn't sure if the edges would pull in or anything like that, i'm not using sticky stabilizer either, but everything came out perfect. i think the only concern is when you have to remove the hoop that you don't accidentally push the magnets against the presser area (this is probably why sticky stabilizer is used). i make patches, so they aren't mission critical patterns. if i were to do something like the napkins in the vid, then yeah, i'd invest in the sticky stuff.
Hi Cookie Cookie. Check out the 5x12 hoop video. It would be the same method. You float the towel. I recommend using tear away stabilizer and temp adhesive.
I'll tell you a fantastic secret now. I simply cover the frame of the hoop with fabric. Then I cut a hole inside the size of the hoop. Like in the dimensional film of the hoop. I stitch the hole along the edges, for strength. And I always attach any fabric with small needles to the fabric along the edges of the hoop. I don't spare the needles, I attach them every 3-4 cm. That's it! Universal hoops are ready for any fabric. And you don't need to spend up to $500 on these unreliable hoops with magnets! I wrapped all the hoops in fabric like this. Of all sizes.

Ok I just ordered the hoop from Canada 🇨🇦 bought from USA 🇺🇸 from your link 👍
You can use the plastic template that came with the hoop for your machine, that's what I use to mark the center.
Yvette, Yes. I just couldn't find it. Ended up finding it after I shot the video...LOL

So I just received this hoop. It appears to fit but the grid that came with it does not center with the needle? 🤷🏻♀️ Wondering why the grid is off.

Hi Janice. You should have six magnets. That's the one I linked. Let me know what happens.

Hi SimplySpoiled! Yes. I use this hoop a lot. It's my favorite. I hardly touch the hoop that came with the machine.

@@BoricuaSewingCrafts thank you so much
Just got mine, but I also want a 4x4 one that fits PE 800, SE1900 etc. Do you know if they make one, I have seen 4x4 for other machines.
Hi Nitty. Yes. They do make the 4x4 magnetic hoop. Here is the link: amzn.to/3xWu9XL
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Thanks .
Hey, I love watching your videos. Do they make the magnetic hoop for the NQ1600E by Brother?
Hi Linda, I search for something but unfortunately I couldn't find anything. I would check with your local sewing shop and see if they know where you can find something similiar.
I have a F440e brother Innovis. Can this be used as fitting looks exactly the same . TIA

Hello. Is tear-away stabilizer the only kind that can be used with the magnetic hoops for the Brother SE1900?
Hi Transforming life. No. You can use any type of stabilizer.
Do you have to use sticky stabilizer with it? Where do you place the regular stabilizer?
I think you would put the stabilizer on top of the hoop and lay down whatever you are embroidering then add the magnets.
You can use regular stabilizer with it. Walkbyfaith has it right.
Does the grid line from the 5x7 hoop from machine fit the magnetic hoop
The magnetic hoop cones with its own grid.
Can you use that hoop for continuous line quilting?
I never tried that with this hoop. I think it might be a little tricky. You would need to use more magnetcs to make sure the fabric doesn't shift around.
Jeanette I permanently mark mine lengthwise and width wise.
Hi Netty. I use to do that but sometimes the marking pens I was using won't come off.
I have the magnetic hoop now also. I have a hard time getting it to attach to the machine. Just had to work with it....lol
Hi Portia. I love mine. I think it's easier to slide it in and out of the machine.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts also, Jeanette I have another question...when you use the sticky stabilizer on the magnetic hoop, does it leave a residue and need to clean the underside?
@@portialanden6353 Yes. I usually clean all my hoops once a month.

Sure can!
Have you done a bath sheet towel with this magnetic hoop? Are the magnets strong enough to hold a bath towel?
Yes. I do recommend getting some extras to make sure you have enough to hold it down. You might need extras if the item is pretty thick.
Can I use my 5x7 hoop to put a small name on a shirt?
Yes you can!
Does it do well with delicate fabric? I hate having to crush DELICATE FABRIC INTO A FRAME.
Hi Jillsy, Yes you can use delicate fabric with this.
How much do you use this hoop? It looks much easier than the clamp style.
A lot. I barely use the hoop that came with the machine. I love it!
