Good question! Both actions can help you move forward. Push against the ski in the track and swing the leg forward. Just make sure the swinging foot stays under the body and doesn’t reach out ahead of you as it swings forward.
@@NordicSkiLab Nobody ever does a video on how to properly use the glide ski. I read somewhere that pretend you are kicking a soccer ball, but that doesn't seem right.
This is a critical question. Many talk kick when referring to proposition. The boot on snow is propelling forward motion with a hip pull and later leg push. The foot with the ski is kicking the imaginary soccer ball and taking the weight transfered from the push. This is the falling forward tall truth of the kick then glide. So much to correct here.
In the first clip, I noticed her knee bent as she glided, but as she transferred weight her knee straightened momentarily. Is there any intention behind that move, or is it just her particular form.
I don’t like the phrase push back. It’s a pulse down and you drive the glide ski forward, the kick. Nothing is back in Nordic skiing. The one ski drill teaches skate board not classic technique.
Do i kick with leg with no ski on, or do i use the swinging of the ski leg to move forward?

Ciao grazie per i video molto utili per migliorare lo stile. Brava a presto

Great video! I need to work on keeping the shin bent :)
The best so far tutorial 🙏🏿

Yes, the leg should be flexed at the start of the glide and gradually extend, then flex again for the push.
Great detail
This is a godsend
What application do you use in the video?
Grat video, thanks! I struggle keeping a neutral spine while diagonal striding, mine is a bit arched. Any suggestions to improve that?
How about a video on how to stop! haha
It looks like she is "bicycling" the recovery leg a little. Otherwise a good demo.
